contour and terrace farming are still confusing.Please clarify it.You are an awesome teacher
Contour farming - barriers present at the sides of the farming land to avoid the soil erosion and it will slow down the water movement.
Terrace farming - This farming can be seen in mountains and plateaus. eg: tea plantation. Wide steps created on the slopes to avoid the soil erosion. (this wide steps should not allow the soil to flow down freely to the bottom of the plateau/mountains).

As said the video is too fast but we can slow down the video using the settings. In the settings click on the playback speed and slowdown the speed.
this is a very quick way of revision before exams so thank you and try to make vedios of of history and civics as well

Sir, I have doubts. Two questions was asked from this chapter:-
1) Why is Land called Basic Resource?
2) what are the causes of Land degradation?
Because we live on it
@@RakeshKumar-pg3ej 1) Land resource is important because humans not only live but also perform all economic activities on land. Besides, land also supports wild life, natural vegetation, transport and communication activities. Ninety five percent of our basic needs and requirements like food, clothing and shelter are obtained from the land.
2) Nine Main Causes of Land Degradation are as follows:
Deforestation: Forests play an important role in maintaining the fertility of the soil by shedding their leaves which contain many nutrients
Excessive Use of Fertilizers and Pesticide
Overgrazing
Salination
Water-logging
Desertification
Soil erosion
Wasteland
