Lyrics:
I'm on the rocky hill
Heading down off the mountain slope
And as my steps echo, echo louder than before
Another day is done
Say goodbye to the setting sun
See what I found
Turn back to the ground
Just as before
Hey hey hey, hey beautiful day
Hey hey hey, hey beautiful day
When the night feels my song
I'll be home, I'll be home
Into the undergrowth
To stand out on a lonely road
In the twilight, the day turns to night
And I'm alone
And when the light has left
I'm not sure of my every step
Follow the wind, that pushes me west
Back to my bed
Hey hey hey, hey beautiful day
Hey hey hey, hey beautiful day
When the night feels my song
I'll be home, I'll be home

This is the epitome of Canadian Kids TV back in the 2000s.
YTV?
This song is my childhood as the theme song for Kids CBC! Great to still hear this song on radio and relive those memories.
suddenly, i’m five years old on a sunday morning
Me too!
I don’t want to grow up
And isnt it just fabulous!
I love being five in my head, as often and as long as possible!!! Aha!
Weird how that works eh?
@@AnObviousTrollWhoBaitedYou same 😕
I've been searching for this song for a long ass time since I always heard this song play when kids CBC was over for the day.
Glad I found it
Same dude
same thing.

This was my child hood. I finally found it after all these years 🥹
It's so cheerful that it makes you wanna cry.
This was my childhood song, I know exactly what you mean 🥲
Hi!
Yes lol
Hey come listen to this song again
You are SO right!
Pretty sure this song should have a billion views because it's so fantastic!
Yes indeed!
Its a ripoff song of pressure drop
No doubt. I agree.
@@TubeUser705 Oh please. They don't have the same melody at all. You're deaf.
@@sunny34571 lol you must be thinking of a different song
It's 2004. I just finished high school. I have no clue what I want to do, I have no idea what will happen. I didn't care. I had a job, I had friends. The ones you can talk till 6am about absolutely anything and everything at the same time. Listening to the latest albums we downloaded off Kaaza or Morpheus. Then sneaking back home before the parents woke up, only to repeat the next day.
simpler times....
Haha Kazaa! Yes! And limewire lol good times
Great times lmao!! As soon as you start listening to your awesome songs you downloaded off free net zero dial up trial discs, you see a cheerful purple gorilla named BonziBuddy, he talks to you in a sincere robotic voice, your computer will never be the same again lmao!
Finally found this song. Had to hum it into google. Great tune and over the moon to have found it in 2024
Perfect song to play on an acoustic when your camping with some friends and are around a campfire.
Wow that would be best feeling
Bring an acoustic bass with you, too
That's the whitest thing ever
@@Subparfat singing around a fire? seems to predate concepts of race. also this is reggae music not really 'white music' it's global music at this point.
@@sebastiansullivan4770Relax.
I’ve been listening to this song since at my lighthouse landing camp at magnetawan Ontario since 2011-present.
seeing these guys back in 2005 at the winnipeg folk festival was great. such great performers on stage.
My son helped BSC set up at the Academy in Liverpool many years ago. The following morning he played this for me and we danced around the kitchen. We've danced to this ever since and the lovely thing is my grandson joins in too! Thank you son - I love this song and I always will x
I've always heard it as, "When the night feels my soul"
I hear that too. I never knew that until today
Me too 😊
You know, sometimes musicians make things hard to decipher on purpose, so it keeps you thinking about it. They know bc they have that gift. 🤔
I legit just woke up and I said the name of this song in my head and was like huh. Looked it up and wow it brought me back to 2006 in the eighth grade. My best friend played this song in front of the whole school before we finished the year and started summer break. Must of been having a good dream of simpler times. A beautiful day!
Spadina China Town. Dragon City. Toronto, ON. Much Music turned on as soon as I got off elementary school. This song was on, and the rest was history. Good ol' vibes man, nostalgia at it's finest.
This reminds me of the good old days living in Canada...great times and great people..
That's the magic of a song
Me and my friend have been trying to find this song for years!!
what cbc plays it any chance they get
That's why ya gotta love the CBC!! 🤸🏽♀️🎶♥️
I couldn’t find it until a month ago thanks to Tik Tok and Kids CBC
It took me about 12 years!!
@theGTAking101 - congrats
Can't believe it's been 12 years since I heard this on cbc kids spending time with my grandma. Simpler times...
This song screams picturesque Canadian landscapes on a peaceful summer day. Kids CBC bring me back 😄
Fun fact: Most of the people featured in this video aren't actors. Their just random people walking through Toronto at night who walked into the frame.
CBC Kids!
I used to watch that all the time
For some reason I remember PBS junior or something using this in the mornings
@@jeremygoslin8864 that's the one, used to get up every morning to Oat meal as Gram gets ready, I would watch this until we were ready for Kindergarten, Good times... 🙂😣
Who is still coming back to this song in 2020?
2022 my guy
2023 man!
Keep it going
2023 4th day of April.
😂
7th April 2023 😂👌🏻
My father would always play this song for me at my cottage as a kid. So glad I could find it again 🙂
I luv this song. I sing it when I'm shopping (as I'm reminded of it being on the radio) washing the dishes, in the shower 🚿 & humming it whenever I can. I'll forever luv this song. It's timeless
Toronto, so many good and bad memories, mostly good, miss canada a lot
I hear you...used to live there too
that Chinese barbecue store is still here today :D the one at 0:32
Come back dont stay away from ur memories
Happy to hear you got out of Canada. It's for the best.

I probably haven’t heard this song in 17ish years. Holy fuck. As a Canadian born in 1993 I heard this song A LOT on Much and the radio back in the day. Just been in a nostalgia trip and checked out some old Blink tracks and the. Then the Atticus compilations and there it is on Deagging the Lake III. Love it
Glad I found this song
This is a song I heard fairly often when I was younger but then I stopped hearing it now I hear it rarely and I had to look up the lyrics I remembered
bro... ive been looking for this for so long. this is the soundtrack to my childhood :')
Love seeing parts of my hometown Toronto in this video :) spadina and dundas, and Echo where they had karaoke. This video makes me feel nostalgic
I have been looking for this song for YEARS now. I’ve finally found it!!!!! I feel whole again
when he says "when the night feels my song" and lyrics afterwards, its somethin else honestly
These guys always opened for bands I liked.
And just like that I’m 5 years old in the back of my dads car loving life to this song with him. Why did I have to grow up🥺
Hey hey hey beautiful day 😊, love this track, takes me right back ❤
So this is the original video of the song!🤔🧐 Cool!😄🤩😎👌 This song was a major part of my childhood, especially back when I used to watch various shows all the time on Kids CBC(sniff, I miss my childhood)!😭🤧
I can totally tell where these shots were taken in Toronto! 🤩
It’s like this song and his voice is very Paul Simony. Too good. ❤️🔥🌕🔥
Such a good campfire song! Chillin' in the Canadian wilderness jammin' out to Bedouin. :)
Just hummed this song to google assistant and found this! Finally found it!
this song bumped into my mind now from a 2010 memory and i knew exactly what to search!
Just spent all afternoon trying to find this classic typing things in Google/RUclips like African hits from the 90s/00s finding absolutely nothing ended up giving up only to vaguely remember the melody then suddenly out of the blue the title of the song clicked in my head, thank you brain for not ruining my entire day.
A great uplifting song, they should release this 😃😃
CBC kids was a blast, man
Now that is bass perfection. You can hear it and it fills out all the sound. I'm a sucker to a lot of bass. Live concerts, if the bass doesn't go through your chest then it's not enough.
The bassist’s brother was a teacher at my elementary school, Mr. Sinclair the legend 😂
Memories of a young Canadian kid
Huh?
One of the best songs of the last decade.
Give yourself a cheeky grin at the 'Hey a beautiful day 😊...'
Its 2005. Im on the way to a basketball game or cheer event with this in my Walkman. From my vans warped tour cd. This song got me through the toughest of teen years
First time I listened to this was when I was living in Toronto Canada in 2007...great times and great people.
This song and "Man I Used To Be" by Kaos are Canadian classics! Simpler times.
I am performing this song with my school and i just had to say this song is the definition of beautiful.
Laney Andersen hope you did well. Lol 5 years ago

Dear BD, you have inspired me to pick up a bass guitar in 2005 and have been playing ever since. You are wonderful.
Heard this song on the radio the other day and had to shazam it. Thank you technology!
Shazam kicks ass!
i love how they didnt close down the streets for this.
this is downtown toronto baby, gotta love it
OMG this song, i loved it so much but couldn’t find it for years, because didnt know who sang it neither the lyrics or the title. I was in my car, they put it in the radio and I picked some lyrics☺️☺️☺️
I heard this song what twenty years ago and I still fucking love it.
I show this song to my best friend, and he said, this is fucking good. Now I remember his words 7 years after he passed away😢
This is a beauty!
O_o
This song reminds me of the good old days when I used to live in Vancouver 😊😃😍
Love the way this song isn't that popular...it's a sanctuary jam
The ultimate 00s "I know this song but don't know the title and who sung it" song.
(Some people think this is callled "When the Night Fills My Soul" which I once saw on a NME CD).
damn, this song brings back good memories of when we sang it at the campfire for our school's camping trip
my dad died suddenly at 45, this was the last song he listened to on his cd player, rip pops
A forgotten gem from the 2000s!! Was in middle school when this came out
