20:05 - you get to keep your job if you come to the table and negotiate with us in good faith. "in good faith" is the key word. Let's be realistic, there is no "good faith" from the current russian leadership nor from hamas. So what next?
Some interesting insights. Was it me or did this guy mumble through a good part of his comments? Speech seemed somewhat slurred to me..hard to understand.
I felt the same as you. And listen at 1.5x so it wasn’t easy. Though I did find Galloway probably had to hold his tongue a lot. This person knows his stuff and most of it is not what G constantly believes he’s right about.

Are you kidding?? He was AWFUL!! Totally joking, he was fantastic, was proving his and Scott’s point that any comment section can be a dumpster fire with instigators everywhere✌️
Turned it off as soon as they started talking about Palestine. Why should anybody engage with you if you can't have a modicum of reason on this topic? "So-called 'innocent' civilians?" Do me a favor...
Yeah, this guy has about.0 idea about Russia or Hamas: - "You should have just talked to Putin and explained to him why the invasion is wrong" - "Hamas was invited to the Abraham accords but didn't come because "everyone has to keep their job" (whatever that BS means)" (As an Israeli I can tell you that we'll never let Hamas "keep their job" and therefore Israel would never invite Hamas to a peace talk)
and this is why you are involved in an endless war. that said, likely if I was in your shoes i'd feel the same way as you. the solution will be difficult for both sides. no, that too optimistic. a solution would be difficult for both sides.
Pretty ridiculous to say that economic cooperation is the way to engage with Russia. Does this guy have any idea that this is exactly what Europe and especially Germany have been doing for decades? And they have remained cooperative and very accommodating towards Russia even when it was evident that Putin was engaging in aggressive expansion leading to all out war. Maybe he’s an accomplished negotiator, but these geopolitical takes are incredibly ill informed and naive.
If you think Europe is being benevolent you’re already wrong. Germany was caught with pants down telling the world that they were going full on renewables and then we find out they’re buying 1/4 of their energy from France nuclear and then HALF from fossil fuel Russia. What’s even more ridiculous is that Europe has been using silent middlemen to buy Russian fuel off the grid. What a joke. If you’re so smart, what’s going to stop this war? Definitely not European diplomacy.
Scott, bringing this conversation back to how we can apply these ideas to our personal lives with her children and spouses is pure genius. And the answer your guest provided is provocative. Thank you!

11:54 - bad trade to whom? Is there any evidence to suggest the released captives have had consequential negative ramifications? Intelligence agencies track these individuals.
Can you address Money and Macro’s criticisms of your TED Talk? There is some pretty compelling evidence that you cherry picked data to support your claim
Some trades can be measured and compared as better or worse than others such as the number of taliban returned to the war zone. But how do you quantify the value of a person over others? To say that BG was traded for too high value another person. How is this subjectivity measured?
I heard the logic and reasoning about parenting and applied it to Palestinians. What I got was a strong sense that the Palestinians do not have faith in an occupying force that has historically shown no incentive to listen/connect. The stakes are balanced when it comes to sovereign countries in conflict. Occupation is itself an admission that the conversation is one sided.

Sounded like a colloquial accent thing
He's got a strong NJ our NYC accent

This is the first time I'm hearing this way of interpretation for the word "fight" regarding the assination attempt.

You may want to listen again as he referred to Hamas as taking Israel’s seat away.

He’s leaning right however he gave some different perspectives. But talk is cheap after the fact!!!

Thank you for letting Chris talk and develop his points.
Incoherent interviewee.

Thouh extremely sharp and smart, Voss comes across somewhat drugged here, and very cynical. I still think, he is great in his job.
"Agent provocateur".
wow
SG with real art behind him, looks to me.
This was a really really good interview. Thanks.

Love the Panerai! What reference?
Thank you! This
Can the man just answer a question instead of drifting all over the place to avoid the answer? Talk about a waste of time!
Scott is such a balanced and open interviewer. Just letting people have the air without trying to lure them into hot takes.
He is anything but balanced when it comes to politics
