It’s so interesting how you’re a master of both worlds. Nature/survival but also a successful businessman in society. Too cool
It is interesting but not surprising,it takes a very good brain to even just re-engineer a bushcraft system never mind create the one Dave has so the crossover into being good with business is like I say,not surprising.he just puts out good solid products at an ok price and with that it’s hard to fail, especially when your as well regarded in your respective field of work.
These are excellent Refrigerators & Freezers, I use my JP50 daily for the past 4 years. Very easy to move around, I just remove the basket with the drinks in it and put the basket back in when I’ve got the ICECO in a new location👍 I use an Anker 500w Solar Gen to power mine or a 12.8v 100ah LifePO battery…
You don’t have explain why you do things Dave, we believe in you and we have your back. Once you give your approval of any product we trust and value your opinion on it. You’re the best Dave! -Stephen, Ohio 🇺🇸
Just purchased my 2021 Gladiator on 37’s your videos are very helpful with me learning about the Jeep life thank you
_your reviews are a trusted resource. we know you are honest, unpaid and you do the "dirt time" with whatever it is_
Been a fan since the Discovery days, and I love jeeps. WIN/WIN
Dave Dynamite , And, I have owned MY 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited (loaded) for decades! It's da bomb!
It is great that you try out products before you endorse them. I do feel good purchasing anything you say is good. Thanks for all the videos.
Thank you for the review Dave, ive been looking at these. Straight forward and honest as always
Very good review. Thank you. I just purchased a Dometic CFX3 95DZ for an upcoming overland trip in Central Oregon. It's a beast and weighs 75 pounds empty. Now I've got to build a 200 Amp-hour battery bank and a 350W solar panel on top of my truck...but cold drinks, fresh ice, and fresh meat and vegetables for 8 days is worth it!
You’re a legend Mr. Canterbury. From Port Sorell Tasmania (currently in China). Thanks for your videos.
Solid review, thanks Dave. Very helpful👍
Dave you always give it to us straight. I want to thank you for the videos
Thus far, just about every review I've watched on these has been overall favorable of the unit. I've been eyeballing one for a while now. Had to put it on hold to replace a stolen solar generator unit (I hate thieves!!). Sure needed one while camping this last weekend, burned through six bags of ice in three days (two coolers). There's $15 I'll never see again (plus tips for the folks who brought me the ice).
Have been watching this channel for years never sells out always focus on material and build quality. Can never go wrong with Dave’s thoroughness.. just might buy too many moras thats all
Thanks for the honesty
Have that exact fridge. It has been running 24/7 in 100 degree Alabama heat and will freeze water.
Dave, LED lights dim their brightness by blinking faster than your eye can see, unlike an incandescent bulb that alters the voltage with a dimmer switch. The faster the LED blinks, the brighter it appears until it is on full time, it's at its brightest. You are correct, A camera can actually see the blinking of the LED depending on the frequency of the light and frame rate of the camera.
Thats what i like about dave , no B.S ....all the best from turkey...
👍👍 Right on man! A good mental sticky note for the future about this.
Great video and review!
Cool looking products. Makes me want to buy them. Cool Jeep cooler and charger.
I've thought about something like this that's solar power powered. I'm diabetic and insulin needs to be kept cool.
You run it off a battery system that is powered by solar. Mine has been on and running in my truck for over a year
@@stevog44 thank you!
Dave can you make a series on making a survival bow? Not a quality bow but just one you can make in an emergency
I have that fridge. It has been on and running in my truck for over a year. I have a cascadia 4x4 solar panel running to the battery and the lead from the charge controller running straight to the fridge👊🏻
For the second time Dave, nice video on the iceco JP40,I thought I watched this too weeks ago. U tube playing games.
Pretty cool!
Dave is the King
You've got the coolest gear.
Thanks Dave great review 👍 👏
Subscribed - solid no nonsense stuff. 👍🏻
That fridge looks very similar to a fridge I've been using for two years full time, aside from some superficial color difference that's the smaller version of the Italian made INDEL B that I have. Mines gone thousands of miles being bounced around in my trailer, on and off road.
thanks
Good review
Been looking at one of those for a little while. I just can't imagine replacing my coolers lol
I’ve got a cheaper portable small fridge like that that I kept in my tractor trailer. It worked best when I kept it out of direct sun light. That one looks a lot more quality than the one I have so this might be all moot but mine was just a fridge and I have a real RV fridge in my current truck. I just keep drinks and maybe a pre-made sandwich in there just for convenience if I end up in a remote parking area at the end of my day.
It’s trips me out when you set in some previously filmed video. I feel like it’s de ja vu.
Thank *YOU*. All good!
Awesome
the human eye can't see that refresh rate but your camera can
very intressdet
I was wondering if you are going to get a bike carrier for your 2 wheel drive motorcycle? I forget what that thing is called. You could probably get a heavy hitch carrier for the front. You'ld be ready for anything then.
Love my ICECO VL60 S. Just wish they offered an option to have a heavier gauge DC charger cord. I'd prefer a 10 AWG DC cord option.
If I ever develop anything for camping or survival equipment and or gear. He's my first call to put that product to the test, and I know there will be no B.S.
Nice looking unit
I had a1993 jeep Wrangler
love from turkey ❤
Am I crazy or is this video a re-release I could have sworn I watched this a few days ago. Still a good video with good info.
Would you say the JP40 is big enough for a couple with two kids for 3-5 day camping trips?
I've been looking for something like that, I bought a dual powered small frig. From Wards and it sucks.👍❤🇺🇸
You should never let your Jackery 1500 go below 20% power level. Charging your unit from dead batteries damages the batteries and shortens their life cycle. Your Jackery is rated for 500 charge cycles. Charging you generator at above 20% power will lengthen your battery life cycle.
It's only worth it if you enjoy it.
What compressor does it have? Secop? I have a CFX 75 duel zone 40liters as a freezer and 35liters as a fridge it's been running for 2 years non stop
Secop
@@DavidCanterbury that is one of the best most reliable on the market can't go wrong.they use secop on the best fridges because they don't break down.
Cool..
Great review Dave. Does the outdoor temperature effect the unit? The blanket might help keep it colder, yet the fan pulling in warm air, does that effect the cooling? Thanks… Skillet
Yes it does
Thanks for your response and honest reviews. I’ve been a fan of yours for years. My favorite series is, the Yurt Series of course. All my best. Skillet
I know this is off topic but is the ptf belt axe ever comeing back in stock?
Did you keep stock suspension on the gladiator?
Heres the one question no one ever ask....willl the freezer actual freeze items or do you have to pre freeze items...many decades ago you had to pre freeze...I've heard nothing on these newer units...
If it's a fridge/freezer combo compressor one, and you set it in freezer mode, it freezes. These are everywhere in Australia.
Are you not spondored by Jeep, I thnk you loved the Jeep :) :)
Think it would be cooler to see how to keep stuff cool and safe without modern tech, but I’m sure you already made vids on that, so nvm haha. 😎
You guy's in USA must get a different Jeep to what they sell here in Australia (I think ours are built in India or china) because they have a terrible reputation down here. Been a few where blokes have destroyed then with machines or blown them to pieces out frustration with reliability and jeeps poor warranty. We don't have lemon laws down here. Do you blokes not run dual batteries to run fridges , camp lights etc. or do most use these battery jackery type packs.
Show us how to make different traps in the wild
Watch the over 100 videos I already have on trapping of all kinds
I want one
why does it take so long to cool?
You did not say anything about the tire table?
Link in description box, video was about the cooler
