  • This is part two to "Floyd Rose, String Change" I had completely forgot to mention the locking nut or the tuning knobs on the bridge! Oh hope you enjoyed the video anyway. I added a second guitar part to the track I had before. Thank you for watching. x.com/@Twanzy21

This is why I sold my FR guitar lol. It was a JEMJR, had it fully setup by a friend and all that jazz, but even without touching the trem that thing went out of tune and somehow the tuners at the bridge were almost never enough to retune. If anything I'll only stick to 2-point trems from now on. How was your experience with the KH-202 trem?

@@derricklevi3005 The experience has been excellent! Once the strings have had a chance to settle, I hardly have to tune it at all.

@@derricklevi3005 I'm surprised you had it fully setup and it was still going out.

@@Twanzy21 I think it's because specifically the trem on the JEMJR is pretty much junk. I was warned about it before buying with people saying the knife edges are made of butter or how I'd need to block the trem or not bother at all. It's some kind of Ibanez branded bridge, but it's specified that it isn't an Edge bridge or a FR licensed one. My friend has an RG350 which is basically the JEMJR as a non-signature model, except it has a Edge Zero II bridge and guess what? His never goes out of tune. Glad to hear it's working for you though!

@@derricklevi3005 Really, an Ibanez trem was junk? Granted, I've never played an Ibanez but I've always heard such good things.

@@Twanzy21 That's because everyone's talking about the Ibanez Edge tremolos. Those are fantastic, across the board, definitely better than most of the FR licensed stuff and arguably neck-in-neck with genuine Floyds, but they put something else on the JEMJR. They have the same trem as the Ibanez Gio guitars which is their bottom-of-the-barrel line. That's why I sold it. It's essentially a Gio with better slightly better pickups, so you essentially pay a premium for the inlay and the monkey grip.

@@bul1362 No, I was not aware. Everything I know I taught myself, so if you notice that I'm doing something wrong, call me out on it!
