    To me these were really similar. The servo was less stable than i thought and the relay was more os than i thought. So that is why i just rock a crave.

    Every relay I’ve thrown flies like a 0,2 it’s like a step below the resistor where servos I actually get turn out of. Glow for a super flippy boy, neutron or plasma for flight just like the numbers and proton for some more stability

    I like the Servo for when a small fade is needed but where going too hard left can get you in trouble. Like the Crave for the straighter version. Meshes well with the Crave which is really straight (and a beat in Crave that flips a little).

    I've bagged both discs for a couple of years now. (Both in Neutron plastic and 172/171grams.) Mine fly differently from one another, enough that the Relay is used on shots that need to hold a left-to-right line of 250-300 feet, and the Servo is the more stable option that always finishes to the left at a similar distance. The Relay also works for hyzer-flip tunnel shots in the woods better than the Servo does. (At least the pair I have.)
    I do have a few of the Servos in Plasma that are a few grams lighter, and those have a bit more neutral flight than the Neutron version, so maybe what makes your two fly similarly is a difference in plastic.

    • @PartTimeDiscGolf
      @PartTimeDiscGolf  2 месяца назад

      That’s good to hear. Maybe it’s just me, but the Servos I have gotten recently fly pretty dang straight. Don’t really have much fade at all. Maybe I should try an older run of the Servo.

    I don't bag a Servo, but have some buddies that do and love it. I do bag a fission Relay recently and like it a lot. Dead straight back hand and forehand. Use it when I need more distance than my Pixel or Watt that are dead straight.

    I picked up one of those Lab 2nd Relays for a slower speed fairway to complement my faster fairway Jackalopes in Apex plastic (8|5|-2|1). Nope! Flys nothing like Jackalope, which my Jackalopes fly true to numbers. I was hoping the Relay would be less stable than Crave with the Servo being more stable than the Crave. Would be a great 6-speed lineup then! However I find my Relay to be inbetween Crave & Servo. I'd give my Relay flight numbers of 6.5|5|-0.5|1. I resort to my Echo midranges to get that slower speed Jackalope flight.
    Thanks for the side-by-side comparison. Always appreciate your content.

      My relay is not PP, but an old mold from before they moved to in house production. Definitely straighter than any of the newer ones I’ve thrown. New ones are a bit overstable for my arm.

      @@cirkuslizard8697 my PFN Servo gem is one that I bought used at Maple Hill that had Japan Open stamp and is 155g. I bought it used in the pro shop the year after Nikko signed a loose deal with MVP and also went to the Japan Open. I remember him tossing his whole bag over hole 1 and my only thought is that it was a disc that he had that he used for the Japan Open where all discs had to be below 160g. It is the perfect 0/2 disc even at 155g. Many of the PFN have less of a shoulder than the current ones. Still one of the best 1/2 combos there is. I still wish that there was a production disc between the Servo and Resistor. There was that weird run of Resistors that came close but it was only that one run.

    I currently bag a neutron relay and plasma servo, both blue. The relay has beaten in to the perfect laser strait/slight hyzer flip disc. My servo never gets a -1 turn. Strait to dependable fade if anything, while the relay finishes more strait. I do have a pink neutron relay that definitely is more over stable, but i assumed it just wasn't beaten in enough 🤷‍♂️

    Thrown the Crave for a few years now, and everyone always told me if i wanted a overstable Crave, to get a Servo. Servo isnt torque resistant enough, but I ended up with weird old run of cosmic neutron Relay that has a higher parting line than the servo. Hard to turn it over and almost impossible to replace

    • @PartTimeDiscGolf
      @PartTimeDiscGolf  2 месяца назад +1

      That makes a lot of sense. I noticed the Servo getting pretty flippy when I gave it some juice, the Relay not as much. Sounds like the older Relays are the money runs.

  • @ViJt-oq5nq

    I have a Neutron Servo and Neutron Relay.. and yea.
    The Servo has a slight turn and a forward pushing fade I feel.
    The Relay 'might' turn a touch more if you rip it, but fades harder.
    The Servo is fair to the numbers the Relay is def not lol. The Servo feels like it holds the lines for a touch longer.
    I have an R2 Crave, and that thing is just too unpredictable, very unforgiving. Sometimes it goes straight, sometimes it drifts right 100 feet 😂
    I much prefer the Servo to all 3.

  • @eh4241
    @eh4241 2 месяца назад +1

    I've heard the neutron servo is a lot more stable than the plasma. My neutron goes dead straight with a little fade. Just ordered a lighter plasma servo to try out. Pairing a servo with a signal covers most shots for me from 250-285.

  • @roblieffering8994

    • @PartTimeDiscGolf
      @PartTimeDiscGolf  2 месяца назад

      That’s interesting. The Servos I have gotten recently all fly a little less stable than a -1 2. Not quite like a Relay, but not as stable as the numbers would say. It’s a great straight flying disc tho.

    lol paused at 38sec to say. Plasma (very overstable version) vs Neutron (stable-overstable) and are these even the same weight? because that affects it too. This is a terrible review and should just be considered null because this is not a accurate comparison. You need to pick same weight and same plastics.
