Nothing like a bit of ZZ Top - love it, this song is such a banger! Some of the other songs I love from them are 'Sharp Dressed Man', 'Legs', 'La Grange', and 'Pearl Necklace', what a banger! ZZ Top is an American rock band formed in Texas, in 1969. For 51 years, it consisted of vocalist-guitarist Billy Gibbons, drummer Frank Beard and bassist-vocalist Dusty Hill, until Hill's death in 2021. Cheers Anthony. 😊😊

My hubs has worked for CenterPoint Energy in Houston for over 25 years. Started out as a meter reader when he was 20 and has worked his way up over the years. Frank Beard’s home was on his route. He said there were so many bad ass cars on that property and it was immaculate.
Also, let that beard grow. J’s beard looks just like theirs.
Love your channel and glad to see you getting into some Texas R&R. You might also check out Waiting For The Bus/Jesus Just Left Chicago.
    ✌🏻❤️from Texas

This is from the "Eliminator" album, released in 1983, it was a major turning point for the band's sound, and a huge album. Since you mentioned long legs and stockings, this album also has a song called "Legs". and their 1979 album "Degüello" has a song called "A Fool For Your Stockings".

So much fun!! You definitely need more 80s rock in your life to lift you up. ZZ Top and so much more. Problem with recommending to you is that I have no idea what you are familiar with already. Even if it isn't a first listen doesn't mean you can't do a first time reaction to vibe to it with friends. Songs like Footloose, Centerfold, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, Mony Mony, You Shook Me All Night Long, and the list goes on. Rebelliousness doesn't have to be mean-spirited, depressed, full of fear or angst. Have some rebellious fun like the kid in the video!

I was a kid when this came out. ZZTop didn't sound like anything else we heard. It blew us away!😅

ZZ Top make great music and they have cool cars.
My favorite little piece of trivia is that the drummer without the beard is named Frank Beard.

She got Legs is a great one too on the same Eliminator album. The car is The Eliminator, it's a 1933 Ford owned by Bill Gibbons the lead guitarist. He's also the frontman and has a good collection of cars. Frank Beard is the drummer but has no beard. "Sharp Dressed Man" and Blue Jean Blues are good songs to do soon. You'll like Tube Steak Boogie and Pearl Necklace also.

I'm from Houston, Texas. This came out in '83. I was a junior in high school. I still have that keychain, that you see in the video. Well, not that exact one from the video, but one just like it, from one of their concerts

Great reaction Anthony! People will make a lot of suggestions and they are all correct. I have one that i think you would be particularly interested in. "I Gosta Get Paid" is a remake of a rap song I think you would enjoy.

Of course ZZTOP songs are loaded with sexual innuendo. They always have been. Songs like “Legs” “Tube Snake Boogie”, “Pearl Necklace”, Sleeping Bag”, “Got Me Under Pressure”, “Fool For Your Stockings”, and “Tush”.
Hell, one of their biggest hits, “ LaGrange” is about a whorehouse. One of my favorite bands, and I’ve been lucky enough to get to see them seven times throughout the years. ✌🏼😎🇺🇸

The irony of "Back when we could distinguish men from women.." Well let me clue you in brother, this was from the 80s. The PEAK of hair metal and glam rock where specifically androgenous male performers was THE thing. Honestly Bowie, Prince, and all the MANY MANY groups that thrived in looking feminine. Don't ever get it wrong the idea that "men were men" era was never set in stone. Look up Classical Greece and Rome or that for most of history theater was EXCLUSIVELY men acting in women's roles. Don't be foolish about sexuality and expression being a monolithic concept.
