    I love the crate idea. I just had a hip replacement ao its been a struggle keeping furniture in my booth. I have lots of pretty napkins too. Hmm🤔

      I’ve even used clamps to secure crates together! Can’t remember if I said that or not! Hope your hip heals perfectly!!

    Hey Brooke! Thanks for sharing! I’ve had my booth for a few months so I’m always looking for creative ways to display my items! Also, new friend here! I just reset my booth because the store owner expanded my booth. I put it on my channel. I had fun resetting!

    I found at least 3 new tips for displaying in my booth…thank you 😊😊😊

    Great tips! Thank you so much for sharing them. I also agree with you about putting a price on EVERYTHING in your booth! Nothing annoys me more than seeing NFS tags! I say, if you don't want to sell an item, either don't use it in your booth or price it high enough that if someone is willing to pay your high price, you'll find another piece and the big profit made makes you realize you needed to let it go anyway!😊

    Great ideas, love all the visuals. I worry that when stacking furniture the top of the one will get scratched!

    Great tips! I am absolutely guilty of not selling my "anchor" pieces even though I know that is no way to do things...

    • @BrookeJohnsonTheJunkParlor
      @BrookeJohnsonTheJunkParlor  Год назад +1

      😜 why? Mark them high then off they sell sometimes really loved them and it's worth it to find something else. It's kinda like dealers who keep "the good stuff"...hard to make good money that way😁

      I am guilty of this as well...one piece in particular I will not sell as it is going in my new house when it is built...so really for now I am "storing" it in my booth...win win!

    Great tips! Thank you. just started selling "off line" in a local market. All I currently have is one shelf in a locked glass cabinet in a room of MANY other shelves in locked cabinets. Do you have any videos or tips for making my little shelf stand out in the shelf wilderness, so that shoppers will be willing to ask someone to unlock it for them. Thanks in advance.

      I do in my coaching group! But here's a few things... attention getters! Lightning, fun wallpaper backdrop or shelf liner. Have price tags visible but a full shelf, so using risers. Have a variety of price points. Good luck!

      How about those tiny fairy lights that are battery operated and twinkle? Or a neon sign if you have a way to plug it in? Or a lava light that plugs in? Even a red cardboard STOP sign might bring in someone to look.

    Stack bookcases on top an ironing board??? I'd like to have seen how you accomplished that.

    • @BrookeJohnsonTheJunkParlor
      @BrookeJohnsonTheJunkParlor  Год назад +1

      Easy! Old ironing boards are sturdy and wide. Take 4 shipping crates and stack! It works great! Screw together or use c clamps for something fun and more temporary.

    Don't assume everyone likes to dig. I'll walk right by a booth if digging if required or if the floor is cluttered enough I must step over merchandise. No thanks.

    • @BrookeJohnsonTheJunkParlor
      @BrookeJohnsonTheJunkParlor  5 месяцев назад

      I have mentioned many times things shouldn't be on the floor unless it's something that should be on the floor, so we are in agreement on that. People like to dig so having some spot with a pile is good, definitely not the whole booth. People like to flip through like items... license plates, pictures, trays. It's always good to experiment and see what works for you and your customers!

    • @dazeenme
      @dazeenme 5 месяцев назад +1

      @@BrookeJohnsonTheJunkParlor you say "people like to dig."
      I'm saying some people like to dig, some don't.
      To assume all people like a messy booth is not accurate.
      Messy, crowded booths are ubiquitous in junky flea markets. Upscale antique mall owners frown on messy booths. It's all about your preference; it's not all about everyone liking the same atmosphere.

    • @BrookeJohnsonTheJunkParlor
      @BrookeJohnsonTheJunkParlor  5 месяцев назад

      @@dazeenme I think we are in agreement. I hope the thoughts I shared didn't lead you to believe I am for messy, cluttered booths. People like to dig was one statement and the video was full of numerous tis for setting up a booth.

    Lol...no. Ironing board???? Not stable or large enough to hold any product...why not an actual folding table? Duh

    • @BrookeJohnsonTheJunkParlor
      @BrookeJohnsonTheJunkParlor  Год назад +2

      Big old ones work great! You should try it! They are taller and smaller than folding tables. I use them all the time!
