Thankfully, you can’t cancel what people love. Christmas is a time of memories for me. My grandpa died at Christmas, my sister died on Christmas Eve. Anything that brings them to memory, I am hanging on to!
Bah humbug... what ever Christmas decor makes you Happy is fine.. Everyone has different tastes You do Christmas the way you love Christmas. New is fine but in life or Christmas decor never let anyone tell you what to love or like. I enjoy a new craft but financially I will us what I have and as long as I love it or it makes me happy it's my Christmas..
Dang! This year I was totally gonna make a Nutcracker wearing a deco-mesh wreath and wood-slice ornament while holding a pool noodle peppermint lolipop and a mason jar filled with layered candy and red trucks.
I feel like some of these things depend on what area you live in. People here love rustic and vintage, including wood slices, red trucks, and nutcrackers.
Here’s the thing: this is my first year doing wood slices and vinyl and my craft fair customers and friends love them. I respect your ideas, though, and you are funny. Happy crafting!
I agree with you 100% and not just because you are very handsome, even Hallmark seems to have gone less on the red truck this year. We can do better this year and be extra creative. I guess I am lucky as I have not heard of many of these creative trends.
I like to switch it up, so I am excited to see what you suggest. I have been adding more home made ornaments to my tree. I just got the material to make the JOY ornaments out of the tiles from Lowe’s. I have to say though, I will still be putting my nutcracker on the mantle. 😊
I can do without any more mason jar crafts, pool noodle crafts, and nutcrackers. I’m still doing personalized wood slice ornaments for my tree. I’m also doing a deco mesh memorial cross for my sister who will be spending her first Christmas without her husband this year. I still live my red truck decor, but I have enough of it that I don’t need to make anymore. I think if you are selling your crafts, it’s important to stay on top of trends. I think if you are making crafts for yourself, friends, and family, you should make the things that bring joy to you and them. Not everyone follows trends.
Such a great craft intervention. Like the Stop turning into your parents insurance commercial. The only thing I have to say about nutcrackers is that many parents use these as a tradition for small kids to paint a natural wood nutcracker..that I can see to-be ok.
Oh wow I’m so jelly I purchased a cricut maker 3 because of all the things it does including wood and for the life of me I have no idea how to use it’s still in the box 400 later New Year’s resolution is to learn it 🌻🌻🌻
I just bought the red truck this year and it's sitting on a cabinet. 🤣 Your expression after speaking on mason jars... hilarious . What a fun video , Tanner.
Boy Tanner, who put the bees in YOUR bonnet!! .. lol.. I totally can get on board with pretty much all of what you said. I am anxious to see what new things you have up your sleeves. OH ... I do like the red trucks though. Maybe people can paint them green this year ... 😉
Anything trendy goes out of style and looks “old” after just a few years. I’m over everything you listed. But, if you love it and it makes you happy, that’s all that matters! I’m making the floating ornaments in glass disk ornaments this year. I’m sure in a few years they will also be out of style 😂
I'm really surprised the red truck and the deco wreath stayed around as long as they have. But, I've already bought a couple of nutcrackers this year for my granddaughters because I have ballet tickets for the Nutcracker. I'm so excited to take them, so I'm theming their surprise around nutcracker gift bags, and wooden nutcrackers. :)
Ok…no red trucks, no mason jar crafts, no layered candy crafts (never heard of this!), no wood slice ornaments, no deco mesh wreaths, no nutcrackers, and no giant candy decor. I admit I don’t have any of this…I guess I’ve never been trendy! 😂
I am tossing my mesh wreath this year. So with you on that. Disagree on nutcracker. It's timeless decore which my mother started tradition of getting a new one yearly. ❤
You are very entertaining. This afternoon I whipped up 4 potholders with red trucks. Showed a friend and one of them left with her. Maybe they aren't done yet. Really dislike those jumbo Nut Crackers.
So I get over half of what is canceled the ones I don't are the wood rounds and old fashion trucks . The Mason jars I kinda get but I love decoupaging those and my favorite thing is putting dry goods in them with a soup recipe. The wood rounds how ever I use for waterslide pictures or resin for coasters and memorial pieces so I don't just use these items forChristmas. However I'm excited that nostalgia is coming back. Can't wait to see some others ideas of what they are doing. Patiently waiting lol
Agree on everything, except nutcrackers. Have used nutcrackers for years and always will! Can’t wait to see the new trends. And I would eat the layered candy too😂
I can honestly say the only one of all of those I have is the red truck, and I made a 3D one from paper and love it. I've never done a single one of the rest of those, and didn't plan on it! Can't wait to see the new ideas you have!
Disagree with nutcrackers. They're very traditional. We go to the Nutcracker ballet every year since I was 4 and now my daughter is in it every year. Don't enjoy big tacky or plastic ones, but a classis wooden nutcracker is always displayed in our house at Christmas. As for the rest of them, they feel a bit tacky and way overdone and have never been a fan. They're free to go.
I don’t care to be a trend setter 😂 I don’t get the red trucks. I have none. I’ve not liked nutcrackers till recent years. Good thing I don’t have big ones and have not spent a lot of money on them. I’m just learning to make wreaths 😔. Thanks for this though 👍
Hilarious! 😂Please add gnomes to the list! What am I gonna do with all the wood slices from last year I did not use? Ha, ha. Ha! Not feeling the mushroom trend I see this year…🍄
With you on most of the old trends …loved it a while ago but I’m ready to have those things as memories. However, I’m totally keeping my neutral nutcracker. Love it! (And it’s 100% because we used to go see the Nutcracker ballet every year when I was growing up. Some things will just always be touch stones that have to live on.)
Love your presentation and style. Can you tell me what’s the appeal of the mushrooms? They’re everywhere…I’m in Edinburgh UK, and speak with a Scottish accent, but I love yours. Honey you’re so funny, Cara xx
We hear... we don't care! Everyone has different taste. Furthermore, some of us... me personally make over $1,000 a month making & selling my gnomes. So maybe those of you in the front need to see yourselves out 🤷♀️
Y’all I am already dying at these comments 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thankfully, you can’t cancel what people love. Christmas is a time of memories for me. My grandpa died at Christmas, my sister died on Christmas Eve. Anything that brings them to memory, I am hanging on to!
Bah humbug... what ever Christmas decor makes you Happy is fine.. Everyone has different tastes

I’m love the red trucks!! I’m keeping mine until they rust out!!!😄😄
I love red trucks still and buffalo checks!
I think buffalo plaid is classic by now.
Me too. Classics.
Dang! This year I was totally gonna make a Nutcracker wearing a deco-mesh wreath and wood-slice ornament while holding a pool noodle peppermint lolipop and a mason jar filled with layered candy and red trucks.
😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I can’t
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
🙂
I love red trucks. My husband and I are big classic car people.
I agree with you on all but the Nutcrackers. Lol. They are traditional. 😊
Thank you!
I totally agree with everything you have said. I’ve been tired of seeing all of those crafts.
Agreed on all things. Can we cancel gnomes too 🤣🤣 Sorry…not meaning to offend I’m just so tired of seeing them for ALL holidays.
Y E S
Yes on the gnomes!
NOOOO .... I love gnomes ..
NOPE! Not when I make over $1,000 a month selling them!
I’m with you on that one, gnomes are creepy!
I disagree with you about nutcrackers. I collect them and have over 200 there here to stay 😂
That’s an impressive collection!
me too
🤣I see people just putting up a plain tree because you just cancelled all their decor. 😂 This was such a fun video.
🤣
You do you. Love whatever you like!
I would never never put a bath scrubby wreath on my house!
I was late to the red trucks. So I’m not over them yet.
Okay the way you talked about the mason jars I about fell out….😂😂😂😂😂
I looked quickly and thought you were talking into a makeup brush. You aren’t are you? 😂
It’s a microphone 🤣🤣🤣🤣
You need to cancel that big butt ugly ball of orange extention cord in the background🤣
Excellent video!
Thanks for watching!
I agree with you 100% and not just because you are very handsome, even Hallmark seems to have gone less on the red truck this year. We can do better this year and be extra creative. I guess I am lucky as I have not heard of many of these creative trends.
I LOVE the red truck motif! But I get it! As always, thanks for the info.
You're welcome!
I clutched my pearls when you said wood slices. Ahhh I just started making mine. 💔
Same 😅😅
Me, too.
You are so awesome. Some of these I have never heard of and now going to research. I make what people want but, I am all about tiny houses this year.
I’m shocked about the deco mesh wreaths but love how you worded it! So glad you did not say anything about canceling gingerbread 🤞😅
Nutcrackers and red trucks ‘offended’ me the most. I blame the UK being more behind in trends 🤣🤣🤣
Nutcracker is coming back
But I don’t want to see it come back 😆😆😆
I like to switch it up, so I am excited to see what you suggest. I have been adding more home made ornaments to my tree. I just got the material to make the JOY ornaments out of the tiles from Lowe’s. I have to say though, I will still be putting my nutcracker on the mantle. 😊
The wreaths! I don’t like deco mesh (stick to itself too much), but I do make poly burlap wreaths. I trust this will still be in style 😊
I can do without any more mason jar crafts, pool noodle crafts, and nutcrackers. I’m still doing personalized wood slice ornaments for my tree. I’m also doing a deco mesh memorial cross for my sister who will be spending her first Christmas without her husband this year. Also, I do nutcrackers in memory of my son, Joey, he absolutely LOVED nutcrackers!
Thank you so much. Very helpful. I am on a trains this year.
I love the red trucks too!!❤
I would love to see Makers Gonna Learn do a Hanukkah craft some year
I'm not sure if we can still be friends. 😂😂😂 Dang, talk about tough love. ❤
Do mason jars with soup / brownie / cookie mix & directions get a pass?
I will be keeping my nutcracker! I have some really pretty wood stained nutcrackers 🤪
Such a great craft intervention. Like the Stop turning into your parents insurance commercial. The only thing I have to say about nutcrackers is that many parents use these as a tradition for small kids to paint a natural wood nutcracker..that I can see to-be ok.
I just got into wood ornaments so I am late to the party, so I will be trying out a few this year. All others I am fine with cancelling.😂
Oh wow I’m so jelly I purchased a cricut maker 3 because of all the things it does including wood and for the life of me I have no idea how to use it’s still in the box 400 later New Year’s resolution is to learn it 🌻🌻🌻
What is in for door decor? I am hosting a door decor party in two weeks. I was going to do Wood rounds... but Tanner says wood rounds are out. HELP!
I was so gonna make a nutcrackers from dollar tree containers. Lol😢
So what do you recommend.??
Love it. You are on right track!
I love you and the crafty people on your team! Bring on some new ideas!
Thank you!
I’m still trying to figure out how mushrooms are Christmas other than being meringue mushroom on a bouche de Noel cake. Thanks for the laughs today!
I just bought the red truck this year and it's sitting on a cabinet. 🤣 Your expression after speaking on mason jars... hilarious . What a fun video , Tanner.
I love Nutcrackers!!!😂
Boy Tanner, who put the bees in YOUR bonnet!! .. lol.. I totally can get on board with pretty much all of what you said. I am anxious to see what new things you have up your sleeves. OH ... I do like the red trucks though. Maybe people can paint them green this year ... 😉
If I like it , I'm putting it out, plus if it is in my supplies , I am using it lol
❤😂🐝 OMG-Not the Nutcracker.
Not offended on any of the cancellations.
Agree Tanner! I’m ready for something new! I’m totally offended because I’ve made all of these except the mesh wreath 🤣🤣
Ya'll just canceled Christmas for a bunch of people. I think the nutcrackers need to stay, let's reinvent what we do with them.
Anything trendy goes out of style and looks “old” after just a few years. I’m over everything you listed. But, if you love it and it makes you happy, that’s all that matters! I’m making the floating ornaments in glass disk ornaments this year. I’m sure in a few years they will also be out of style 😂

I'm so excited to take them, so I'm theming their surprise around nutcracker gift bags, and wooden nutcrackers. :)
I’ve always hated the mesh wreath, and the big nutcracker is weird. People stop with the pool noodle crafts
Ok…no red trucks, no mason jar crafts, no layered candy crafts (never heard of this!), no wood slice ornaments, no deco mesh wreaths, no nutcrackers, and no giant candy decor. I admit I don’t have any of this…I guess I’ve never been trendy! 😂
Let's not stop doing anything traditional -some trends we can be followers with🤩
What are your thoughts about cookie mix in a jar? Do you consider that a craft?
I like this!! ❤
Thank you I thought I was alone with your cancellations…..it’s time for new crafts to make
I am tossing my mesh wreath this year. So with you on that. Disagree on nutcracker. It's timeless decore which my mother started tradition of getting a new one yearly. ❤

Going to miss those wood slices.
Tanner can you please put a stop to this Gnome Craze!! I mean they are everywhere all the holidays. Most of the time I think they are creepy.
Yes Yes and Yes🎯
Agree on everything, except nutcrackers. Have used nutcrackers for years and always will! Can’t wait to see the new trends. And I would eat the layered candy too😂
Tanner you crack me up!
Not the wood slices! I still haven’t figured out how to slice a pinecone into a flower to stick on it…
I can honestly say the only one of all of those I have is the red truck, and I made a 3D one from paper and love it. I've never done a single one of the rest of those, and didn't plan on it! Can't wait to see the new ideas you have!
I can’t wait to see what you come up with!
Stop it. Let people do what makes them happy. Especially the way the world is now. And there is no F in wreath.
I have thankfully not used any of these for any year! Except, I have just one red truck ornament that I purchased last year😅
100% no trucks, gnomes, deco mesh anything , grinch trees
If Cracker Barrel does it…avoid it …this is a good rule.
Disagree with nutcrackers. They're very traditional. We go to the Nutcracker ballet every year since I was 4 and now my daughter is in it every year. Actually the red truck because I have purchased a lot of those from dollar tree 😢 need to use them. 😊

I am so grateful deco mesh wreaths are on there way out. I've never liked those 😂
My red trucks aren't going anywhere. The other things were never in my house. I say you do you..ill do me
I don’t believe I won’t see a wood slice on makers😂
You’re probably right 😆
I agree with you except for the nutcracker!
THANK YOU CRAFTING JESUS!!! I despise Nut Crackers!!!
Not canceling nutcrackers
I was looking forward to make those wood slices into snowmen, you just ruined my day 😂.
You are too funny I agreed old and outdated need new ideas!!
Thanks for watching!
It was never “it” lolololololololol 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I’m dying
I make Baileys and gift it in decorated Mason jars 😊
That’s definitely different than a mason jar craft. Totally allowed!😊
OMG I'm dying!!!! So glad I didn't buy those pool noodles for my giant lollipops!!! Fun video!!!
Thanks for watching!
Confession: I’m scared of nutcrackers
@@MakersGonnaLearn😅
Cheesy is the truth!!
Agree with them all. Cancelled! Anxious to see what you show us next!!
Love your presentation and style. Can you tell me what’s the appeal of the mushrooms? They’re everywhere…I’m in Edinburgh UK, and speak with a Scottish accent, but I love yours. Honey you’re so funny, Cara xx
We cannot cancel the nutcracker. I don't need a big blow plastic nutcracker. Never done any of these.
Yes! Say it louder for those in the back! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
We hear... we don't care! Everyone has different taste. Furthermore, some of us... me personally make over $1,000 a month making & selling my gnomes.
So maybe those of you in the front need to see yourselves out 🤷♀️
Didn’t make any of those things this year lol
No I’m over the deco
Mesh.
LOL, just heard nutcrackers are trending! I don't have one but have always wanted a red truck, how 'bout green!
No you are not wareing shorts, I'm in Ca & freezing😅😅😅 I was never on board with red truck or nutcracker. Lol
