Hey guys, I feel like I really dont want to idolize my hobbies and I’m kind of anxious about it. God had me stop my video game addiction of sorts. I played a lot and slowly the time I played started decreasing. And I had almost a year long break, when I didn’t play anything, now I decided to play minecraft with my friends like once or twice a week (because I wanted a healthy hobby). I also play board games just to note. I would request some prayers about these things because this topic is actual for me. I’d ask you guys to pray for me that I may have a really healthy and sober relationship with my hobbies, that I may firstly always seek God’s kingdom and Him! I want him to be the center of everything, pray that I might have the strength and the courage to put down things if needed to and if God tells me so. I want my hobbies to be a latter priority, and I want my heart to get much closer to God than it is now. Most importantly pray that my heart be kept by God in accordance to his word and his will, and his heart.
I idolized a hobby that messed me up, watever hobby we got is def not worth putting on a pedestal higher than God, thank u for this message its nice God bless !❤🙏
I'm not of your faith anymore (long story), but this is such a great and universal message for mankind as a whole and those being dedicated to God, the supreme Eternal One... Side note: You asked about coffee, for me it's no milk, a little sugar 😊😬😅 May you be blessed for your efforts brother.
Wake up! Tribulation is near, and the Christian church has led you astray. Repent now to avoid God’s wrath. We are commanded to honor the Sabbath (Isaiah 56; Acts 13:42-44) and abstain from eating pork (Isaiah 66; Acts 15). Paul clarified in Galatians 3:19 that the sacrificial laws ended, but the Ten Commandments remain. Animal sacrifices, stoning, and circumcision were abolished. (Matthew 5:19) Ephesians 2:12-13 states that we are grafted into Israel, making the prophecies and covenants for Israel applicable to us. Isaiah 11:11-13 identifies you as part of Israel’s lost sheep. Christmas, Easter, and Halloween are rooted in pagan practices like Yule, Saturnalia, and Ishtar, not Scripture. Christ wasn’t even born in December. These celebrations are idolatrous. The Trinity is an idolatrous and unbiblical concept (Numbers 23:19; Mark 10:18; Matthew 26:39). The Messiah’s name is Yeshua, not Jesus. See John 5:42-43 for confirmation.
i usually drink black darkroast, i take a stick of butter and cut some off and drop it in the coffee. i think its good, give it a try. cinnamon in the coffee sometimes is also good.
In my pastc ive idolized working out, playing guitar, even playing pc. All of which drastically steered me away from The Lord and completely put out my flame. Do what you can for others when you feel it in your spirit. Dont focus on yourself all the time and you’ll feel less anxiety/stress. On too of that, give all your worries to the Lord and learn to just trust in His plan for your life. Its easier said than done, but its possible. There’s nothing wrong with hobbies. Obviously the Lord created these things for us to enjoy, just not put first before Him. Dont forget your first love

Do you still partake in hobbies?
