- My 6 day trek to and from Moses Peak was my greatest adventure in Pakistan. The Karakoram backcountry in the Ghanche District of Gilgit-Baltistan is rarely seen by foreigners and locals alike, so I was really excited to not only see the mountains but to meet the people who inhabited the area as well. I was nervous when passing through the Bara Bala area to officially start my trek, but was greeted with confused laughter and smiling faces. After leaving the main village, I began passing people coming down from higher elevations with supplies like wood and specific plants. I often found myself wishing I could communicate with them so I could gain a greater insight into their livelihood. Nonetheless, I was just happy to be in their presence and watch them go about their daily lives. The day ended at a Shepard's hut where a rather warm evening kept me from getting my best rest. I woke up eager to go deeper into the wilderness, wondering where I would drop my pack for the night and set up camp yet again. Stayed tuned for Part 2 as the trek to Moses Peak only gets more exciting from here. 🇵🇰

This is absolutely incredible. You have balls of steel to go to these remote areas camping out in the middle of nowhere. You must have many years of outdoor camping experience. Just curious how much? Great job, your videos are very compelling. I love Pakistan, although haven’t been there in 40 years. Would love to go back someday soon.

Hey Clint don’t worry about the kids and staying low key. They are amazed to see you there and kind of happy. If you would have spoken to them they would have taken you to their home and fed you for good haha
