A small island in Thailand named Koh Lanta has so many clinics ready to help and transport tourists to the mainland if there are problems. I was surprised when I first traveled there, on how a small island in Thailand felt more safer than any islands I have been in the Philippines.
As a Filipino, I notice most of our provinces for tourism do not even have clinics or hospitals nearby. DOT should focus on the healthcare system and safety of tourists before promoting people to travel to our country.

No matter what the slogan, actual experience by the tourist is the one that counts. I wonder if the Tourism Department conducts survey of tourists, specially foreign tourist as a platform for improvements? As of now, Philippines is not tourist friendly with big problems in infrastructure, roads, unreliable and old and bad transportation, scammers, dirty places including beaches, poor accommodations, no promotional brochures to guide tourists etc. I think foreign vloggers are more effective promoters of Philippine tourism than the department.

Eeeewww... lol whether u like it or not, i cannot careless about tourists who do not love the Philippines for what raw things and services it can offer. If they want to be fancy, then they should just go somewhere else. Or IF they want to try the Philippines , theyshould stay in high end resorts like AMANPULO, BORACAY SHANGRILA, PLANTATION BAY, and similar resorts... of course, they are safe in those places... all the amenities will be provided... and there will be access to hospitals right away via air plane... because Philippines is for the adventurous spirit... the ones who will go to far away places far and off the grid. @@arielvergeldedios7068 Hi. She is a former mayor of Liloan, Cebu Prov which garner the award Top Philippine Model Municipality in 2019 by The Manila Times and garner multiple awards during her mayorality. If you have visited Liloan you would see how much their tourism has improved during her stint. Although, it does not have striking tourist spot like Moalboal/Oslob and other neighboring towns it still manage to increase their tourism and open lots of activities areas/resort/history site.
I have really high expectations from her because I myself had heard her during her speech talks and visit Liloan as well but somehow the tourism video was a letdown for me also. I hope there is more than this video for our tourism.

If Sec. Frasco really love the Philippines this shameful thing will not happen. The present controversy involving the promotion of our Tourism industry is a big blow to us Filipinos who really love the Philippines. Maybe irresponsible things happen because of greed of money.

“Incapsulate who we are as a people “, ganda, if you don’t include the kind of politics in the country!
Honestly the slogan , love the Philippines, sounds a bit pathetic if you don’t see the whole campaign video . Anyhow, as long as the infrastructure and basic services are not at par with the neighboring Asian countries, we will remain lagging behind. Also, if the ordinary Filipino workers can’t afford to enjoy the beauty of his or her own country that is being promoted then that’s too bad and remains sad.

DOT should sort out these hagglers and other people who rudely approach and follow Korean guests here in Mactan offering massage and island hopping activities. Only people trained on how to approach guests properly should do this and not just anybody. Imagine yourself your first time in a country and you see these guys annoy you and follow you around even if you decline their offers, kinda bad impression don't you guys think?

Tagaytay in Cavite is a tourist place & retirement city.
Note: the main road/s SHOULD be asphalted so as not to have bumpy rides. . . example: Tagaytay-Sta.Rosa Road, Aguinaldo Highway - to Manila & to Nasugbu-Batangas.
Side roads must be cemented & asphalted--example the road that connects from Lourdes Church to go to Ayala Serin mall is horrible. Barangay Silang East has not done anything to improve this road for several years.
