They were the best couple I've ever seen in movies or TV, gay or straight. Their portrayal of love (and lovemaking) was the most realistic I've ever seen, the look in their eyes, the passion, Bette's longing for Tina when they were apart. It was a powerful storyline that the woman everyone wanted -- Bette -- never wanted anyone but Tina, the person she chose to have a family with.
I related because their story was much like that of my own long relationship. We cried when they became engaged because millions of us love Tibette, we relate to them, we understand their portrayal of a real love story was so important. And we thank Jen and Laurel who gave us years of joy. The L Word was them in my opinion and so the happy ending is awesome. The really do happen IRL💕

une des plus belles séries avec de grandes actrices..particulièrement Jennifer Beales enfin Bette qui joue à merveille ...lorsqu'elle pleure face à Tina dans le bar après s'être embrassées..est une scène magnifique et qui est venue de Bette ...un peu d'improvisation ...une réussite totale ...sans compter leurs scènes d'amour qui sont très fortes et leurs regards...ce couple est spectaculaire ...on gardera tous cette série en nous bravo encore

The writing doesn’t make sense. Tina is expressing that she hates their child pushing them away, but if she hates it so much then how come she felt comfortable living in a whole other country than her child for such a long time (years?)?? Had she been a more active parent and at least stayed in the same city, then it would make more sense, but not now (her going away to live in another country because otherwise she would have fallen apart). I mean, parenting isn’t this hop on hop off type pf deal- instead parenting is about putting the child first and making it work even if it’s tough. Parenting over the phone isn’t active parenting. Did they even write in a convo. where Bette and Tina spoke about what it was like for Bette to take on that parental responsibility on her own when Tina went away to discover/save herself? If not it doesn’t seem authentic for that to not have been discussed properly (especially since they are back together).

For me, having my teens individuate transitioning into adulthood is so difficult and Tina's portrayal hit home for me. Parenting is different for everyone. Remember from season 1, Tina knew that Angie had not had her first kiss while Tina was working in Toronto even though Bette was living in the same house. Each has a different connection with Angie and each unique style of parenting. For me, distance does not change my love, concern, care, fear, joy, and never ending motherhood.
Also agree it was a beautiful scene. As always, huge credit to Laurel and Jennifer for making it feel so real and authentic. Kate did a fantastic directing this episode. Hope to have a directors cut version to watch one day.
