Ngl, the old version of Amanda was absolutely scary
This version of Amanda is less scary, but I do like how emotional she is better than the old version
I do remember in the first game it was mentioned that aunt Kate was actually friends with Sam the creator of Amanda the adventurer promoting it as much as she could to help him she even recommended as something to watch for parents and promoted every chance she could.
Omg yeah! Aunt Kate was also a librarian so this library means a lot more than we think. Can’t wait for the full game to come out in Autumn!!

okay for mr rooster, I believe that the rooster represents sam, I'm pretty sure we all know this but yk. If you don't believe me we can go back to Amanda the adventure one where her an wooly take an trip to the farm. Remember how she asks 'whats the daddy chicken called?' or whatever? You answer 'sam' and she goes 'wait how do you-' so mr rooster definitely is an resemblance to sam, they've must've got rid of him and her saying that mr rooster has been dear to her and yada yada is an implication that shes letting sam go and is trying to stop grieving? Idk, but the rooster is def sam. And considering the rooster made those noises when she let it go leads me to think that that is actually him in the show..
And I think we’re still playing as the same protagonist from the first game we’ve just broken into the library and it’s also mentioned that aunt Kate did work at library so I imagine after the detective ending that’s where we head off to search for clues for what went down at Hamlin.

The problem is that we actually don't know if we are playing Margaret.
For we know; we could be Riley and looking at the letter that was meant for Margaret.
Edit: Actually steam description does say we are playing Riley

1997: the show Amanda the adventurer premiered.
1999 a girl named Lauren disappeared.
2002: a girl was asked by a psychologist about what she saw.
2005: the creator disappeared.
2007: the events of Amanda the adventurer 1 happened.
2010: the events of Amanda the adventurer 2 happened.
That wouldn't make sense, since the checkout dates for the library books show up to 2019

All the names have confused me
The only thing I don’t like about the full release is that they changed how Amanda isn’t THE evil entity instead she’s a victim
I mean…if you really think about it, she’s really been the victim this entire time, all the way from the demo, to the first game, and now the 2nd game’s demo.

God forbid you have to deal with an actual problem in life.
We are told in letters throughout the first game that Aunt Kate worked at the library and was Sam's biggest local supporter. She might have made the posters herself.
There's also mention of a New Guy, possibly Kate's replacement after she died / disappeared, providing possible chronology.
In my knowledge, replacing them at their job is one of the first things that happens when someone goes missing. The workplace needs to function, no matter what their fate turns out to be. And the new guy is still new enough to be learning the ropes- probably still in the first month.
Meanwhile, homes take longer. The assests of the deceased cannot be passed on until a death certificate exists. If Kate went missing, she would have had to have *been* missing for several years before she was delcared dead. If they found a body, however, that would allow a death certificate to be certified and given to next of kin, allowing for the passage of assets to begin; usually under the direction of the deceased's bank and a justice of the peace, and for large estastes and auditor to inventory everything before its given away according to the Will left by the deceased. An auditor is also brought in if there is no Will, to allow next of kin to evaluate what's been left and come to an agreement.... or, failing that, go to court to have a judge settle the estate.
Since the house was given to Riley we can assume they did not break in, and the Will process is over with. Minimum 2 months assuming Kate left a body and no one screwed up mailing the death certificate along.
If Kate disappeared, this could be YEARS before Riley got to the house. Where this lands in the timeline tells us something about the conditions of Aunt Kate's apperent death.
Well, we are actually playing as Riley specifically after they found the tapes and destroyed the TV.
Fun fact, if you put Kate in the text box when watching the vhs tape in the beginning, Amanda will say “I wish I could see her again”. Also, if you type woolie’s name she will say something like “ha, only if you can find him” so she definitely killed woolie or something
In the scene at 7:10 to the left of Amanda is a pitcher plant
A plant known for luring bugs with its sweet nectar, then trapping and eating them
Also the brief scene of hospital lights sounds like a heart monitor about to flatline (the sound of the patient's heart stopping). Perhaps Rebecca's body and brain were separated?

U have to remember Kate used to work at the library and at the time she was friends with the creator of Amanda the adventurer (little bit of more lore so the creator of amanda the adventurer creator adopted a kid aka amanda so the show is based of the creator’s daughter)and when hameilton took over the show kids started to go missing but kate saw all of this and she went to discover that mystery’s of the show and the missing persons that’s why when we enter to the basement in the first game there’s a lot of evidence of the missing kids
