  • Greetings viewers,
In this video we explore a common issue affecting late model Ford F-Series Pickups from 2010 to 2013-year models where there is a lack of power steering assist. A common symptom would be hard to turn steering wheel requiring extra effort to maneuver corners. This video applies to those trucks equipped with the electronic power steering modules and the symptom may be accompanied with stored codes U300, U3003, and or C200B. Watch this video for more information.

You have all the cool tools Tim. I have to think that module was expensive. But I'm glad the customer found you because I know you did the job at a fair price.

Good to see you Tim. I hope all is well. Intermittent failures are sometime difficult to pin point. I'll be in Alaska this coming May and looking forward to it.

The car doctor deserves so many more subs, a real seasoned mechanic, no bullshit, no questions, just properly diagnosing the problem(s), and getting in there and doing his job replacing the faulty component. btw Tim, make sure you take a look at your heart, kinda concerned about a heart attack in the near future, it's nothing to do about weight, but I seen multiple people who looked almost exactly like you drop dead of a heart attack, not saying you will, but get a ECG for a piece of mind. You look eerily similar to someone who I knew drop dead from one years ago, no warning.

Thanks! I keep an eye on my heart. My father dropped dead from a heart attack at my age and he was the picture of perfect health. Olympic class swimmer, skydiver and marathon runner.

How do you troubleshoot leaking electrons?
I just got a "new to me" 4Runner that had a small leak on the steering rack on the driver's side. Throwing a hail Mary, I poured some AT205 into the power steering reservoir and it stopped the leak for 12 months now. Someday, I'll probably need to replace the rack, but not today.
Electric rack, lets see a hack to temporarily fix it.

Hey, sorry to bother you but I have a 2003 Pontiac vibe gt fwd manual shift 6speed i had a full kit clutch plate replacement and the transaxel seals were replaced too but now I have a dark oil leak coming from the passenger side shaft and gear oil leaking from the driver side. What could be wrong with them? The guy is trying to say it's leaking because he thinks the driver side shaft is not totally flush but that doesn't explain the passenger side. It didn't leak at all before the axels were removed. If the seals didn't get damaged during reinstallation what could have happened?
