It's hard, but worth it. Id rather face the discomfort of goodbye than their pain of abandonment. That said, I kept 2 of my fosters 😂

I still see my foster dogs all the time. They are just so special to me that I can’t imagine not having him in my life. It doesn’t get easier but most of the dogs I fostered are still in my life. The families know how much they mean to me. That makes it a lot easier for me to let them go to their forever homes. I also tell them if anything changes they can always call me. I watch them when the families go on vacation or whatever they need. I have a great relationship with the adoptive families
I still send photos of our boy to his foster who took him in and taught him how to be a dog (came from a hoarder house). I am eternally grateful to her and consider her part of our family.

Anyone who's ever had a puppy knows how much work they are. Multiply that by 8 and add a mom, and you understand how valuable and hardworking these lovely folks are.
That black and white one has such a personality he’s just chillin in the bath water. You two are a gift and blessing to these animals. I hope they all get wonderful homes. 🩵🩵 I hope they get Mama
Pitty checked at the vet for heart worms and a general exam. Imagine you’re going to give birth and someone abandoned you. She was so happy you helped her.

It's so rewarding when you foster a female dog and her litter of pups.
We fostered a mama dog and her litter of 2 week old puppies, and was a wonderful experience. Even having the mom and 2 puppies suffered from kennel cough, one of those sick pups was the runt, and her being sick caused failure to thrive. The other sick puppy was so sick, that the kennel cough ended up turning to pneumonia. The mama had kennel cough and mastitis and was also way underweight. So long story short, we fell in love with those three and ended up keeping them and found forever homes for the other 4
