There is such a honest sweet tender shyness about Samantha, but when she walks out on stage and hits that first guitar chord and belts out her first note, it knocks you backwards like an unexpected punch and you immediately discover you are in the presence of a great musician. Sam is a great guitarist, singer, and song writer. I will always cherish and hold near and dear to my heart the very first time she played the Acura Stage at the New Orleans Jazz Fest, everything was perfect. Not only is she a great musician, Sam is a classy lady with style and pizzazz. I look forward to seeing her play live again in the near future. Thanks. 👍🎸🙏😎✌️

Wow what a charmed life you lead. Thank you so much for your interview with Samantha Fish! She is such an unsung hero in the Guitar World. Slash has finally figured her out. I want to see her in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame I really do. She is neck-and-neck number one favorite guitar player of mine right there with Mr Angus Young. Her songs for guitar playing her licks just blow me away. What I would give to be just an hour just to sit down and play guitar with her! You are one charmed lady. Pretty too You know you should go after Nancy Wilson next come on she's THE GODDESS of rock guitar my prized guitar is my Nancy Wilson signature Fanatic! Thanks again showcasing Samantha Fish I don't feel she's given the credit she's due. Come on who else on this planet can pull off play Black Sabbath on a cigar box guitar! I think if Tony ever saw that he'd hang up his guitar cuz he realized he just ain't got no talent even for a guy with two fingers chopped off.

I have to say having grown up without sisters and then watching the ladies chat about one of my favorite things in the whole world is a treat for this Samantha Fish Friday🎶 A guitar lesson from the great Samantha Fish🤯 I say that because you don't often see your heroes showing you any of their secret sauce. I got a little chuckle cause the student in me recognized that Kylie didn't get the whole connecting patterns thing (teaching, particularly guitar, is a super skill because for instance working musicians are suuuuch good players that when it comes to teaching they have a hard time grasping the fact that students have nooo music theory knowledge. So things that seem elementary and obvious to them are like rocket science to a student. When you add that many working musicians have been playing since they were children and most guitar students are so green that they don't even know what questions to ask, it's easy to see why teaching is a super skill.) To Kylie I say take the concept and work with it using youTube vids on that concept and you will get it and make it your own. To Samantha, more than my Professor X, and much more prettier🥰

Hahah...I sort of got it but have since been on youtube to try and really get the gist of it. And you are so right about musicians, something I learnt a longtime ago was that Im asking these talented people to explain something that just comes so natural to them. Samantha was a true sport and I love her even more after having her on the show. Thanks for watching and the advice.

Two cool women talking about what makes the world enjoyable! For a second, I thought you were going to get her to play a snippet of a new song, but apparently she's talented for diversion too. Try the CAGED system, Samantha's absolutely right, and once you're able to connect the pentatonics around it it makes totally sense. Great work! Bravo!

@@KylieOlsson I noticed the question you asked her if she ever sang opera, she did say in an earlier interview off hand comment she did but in that conversation was that she was learning all kinds of vocal techniques meaning off hand like, oh yeah I was doing opera. I love her voice, guitar talent and is a proven excellent front woman in control and when she enters the room she has a presence that cannot be ignored, lovable personality with a strong persona. I would really love to hear you two rock out on a tune together on part three. I think it would go well.

That was fun! I find that when I play that when I'm trying to cover another guitarist it's harder for me then coming up with my own patterns and just jamming. Like Sam says, every bodies hands are different and it's hard to copy some players. It's like trying to play some of George Harrisons chords, his hands were huge, I could never play those chords. Or Robert Cray, I swear his left hand covers half of the neck.

Samantha Fish's right hand has a brain in every finger. I know she spends hours willing her hand to make some sound she has in her head but, the fingers in right hand are all acting independently. There's no wonder everybody tells her she's doing it wrong. If there's no hope of copying what she does, you just have to say you didn't even want to do that anyway.
