I like mine, 300 rounds of target and 40 rounds of defense ammo, no malfunctions and well inside 4" at 15 yards. Cannot expect anymore from a handgun this size. defense ammo is pretty snappy.
Jesse. Good video. Thanks for sharing your comments on the Micro 9. I have that exact gun as my daily carry gun. A mag with one additional round vs the OE mag. Just checked the trigger pull at 5# 4 oz. My gun has sights with three white dots rather than the blacked-out sights. The gun seems to run well but I probably don't shoot it often enough to say a whole lot about it. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts, I always appreciate your comments. Take care.
It doesn’t say on Kimber’s website. This gun was loaned to me so I didn’t have the owners manual. As snappy as it is I wouldn’t really want to shoot +P in it. Thanks for watching.
Yes it’s how the action works. Pretty much every handgun except for fixed barrels and a couple of different action has the barrel tip up to feed the round from the magazine into the barrel. Thanks for watching.
I’m not a fan of target sights so it wouldn’t matter. Someone in the comments said they have the option of 3 dot sights you can get with them. Anything I get with target sights i either change out or paint the front sight.
Well ain’t we just a tad bit picky on the way people talk. I’m so glad you’re so perfect and corrected me on this. Now should I bow down to you? I think not. Thanks for watching.
@@PhillipBlanton I’m sorry I’m bored and looked this up and it’s totally you 🤣. Heighth is a colloquial variant of height formed by analogy with similar measurement terms such as length, breadth, width, and depth, which end in th. Heighth might be considered incorrect in formal writing, and no dictionaries that we know of list it as a living word. Its use is a common peeve among people who consider themselves careful users of English. But those who are peeved by heighth should go easier on it. It is not just a new colloquialism. It was in fact the Old and Middle English term for the quality of being high for many centuries (under various spellings) before height entered the language in the 16th century,1 and the newer form didn’t achieve its modern prevalence until the late 19th century.2 Plus, since so many measurement terms end in th, the much-maligned modern use of heighth is really just a normalization. We don’t have to consider it correct or use it ourselves, but its use is perfectly logical and is not a sign of low intelligence or illiteracy.
Scariest and most unreliable gun i own! I am a Kimber fan and loved everything about this gun till i started shooting it. Biggest problem is when i am shoot it very frequently will lock up when i am trying to pull the trigger Like it is hitting a wall. Finally i will decide there is a problem and it is not going to shoot so i start to release my pressure on the trigger AND THEN it decides to go off firing! It is never good when a gun goes off and you are not expecting it. Also when the gun is empty and i am racking the slide sometimes it stops and does not want to move like something is not lined up right. And last probem which would be easy to fix is the magazine LOVES to fly out while i am shooting because the spring is not strong enoug with how snappy it is.
several hundred rounds and no problems with mine. The mag I need to give it a good tap with my palm to make sure it seats well or it may not seat. The trigger is very heavy. I got the m*carbo spring kit, wow what a difference, took the trigger pull to about 3 1/2 lb and breaks clean. A very nice upgrade for $24 and easy to install. I do well within 3" at 10 yards.
@jimj.6412 you must have got a good one then. i actually love everything about the gun. The way it conceals, how well it fits in the hand, full size 9mm and not a .380. I even love the way it shoots till it starts messing up. I need to get a hold of Kimber but don't have the cash to get it fixed. Warranty is only good for a year. I got this during the start of the pandemic so it was 2 years before i saw ammo prices i was willing to pay. This was my first 9mm so i did not have anything on hand to put it thru its paces when i first got it.
@@jesseboutdoors Thank you for the video, you’re correct on this statement. I have this firearm and I usually carry it during the day, one because it conceals nice and of course functions with no problem, but at night I carry my Glock 43x mos with a TLR-7 sub, plus I installed Night sights.
This is my gun!! I love her! Have to buy the extended magazine, though or it is too short and feels weird in my hand! Looks so tiny in your hand... looks huge hugevin mine! I added night sights to mine too!

I would definitely like the 3 dot sights better than the sights on this one. Thanks for watching.
@@jesseboutdoors I agree. Thanks.
I own the nightfall version with truglo 3 dot sights that are quite nice and take care of the black on black issue.
@masterdebator6588 those would be nice.
Install the m-carbo spring kit, 3-4lb trigger pull, makes this pistol a pleasure to fire. Also use the hogue grips for all day fun.
If it was my gun I would do some changes to it. Thanks for the comment and watching 👊🇺🇸
Use white fingernail polish on the front sight. Works great!
@@joeestes-u8z not my gun or I would of put orange paint on it.
Great video. Nice looking little pistol for sure. 👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you and thanks for watching.
THanks for the video the trigger pivot is a non starter as it is not a 1911 then
Yes it’s definitely not a straight pull back. Thanks for watching.
Got the Shot Show model - all black and came with the Hogue grips and extended mags
As a lefty, I don't understand why 1911 gun makers just don't put ambidextrous safeties on all their guns.
I agree. I have a Ruger SR1911 that I need to put a ambi safety on. Thanks for watching.
Not to seem rude but I think that it looks ugly like shrek ears. Especially when they pop out.
Can the micro handle plus p?
It doesn’t say on Kimber’s website. This gun was loaned to me so I didn’t have the owners manual. As snappy as it is I wouldn’t really want to shoot +P in it. Thanks for watching.
is it normal for the barrel to look bent up when the slide is back?
Yes it’s how the action works. Pretty much every handgun except for fixed barrels and a couple of different action has the barrel tip up to feed the round from the magazine into the barrel. Thanks for watching.

You could paint your targets another color so the sights are more visible

Some of the comments on here...bunch of haters and keyboard warriors. You do you Jesse!
Thank you.
How far away are you from the target?
10 yards.
Without the finger extension etra round magazine, I don't like this gun. with the extension i love it.
The pinky gives you more grip to control the gun better. Thanks for watching.
Good morning, Brother 👊👍🇺🇸

Seven pound trigger on an ultralight carry gun?
Most carry guns are around 5.5 pounds. You really don’t want a light trigger on a carry gun. Thanks for watching.
@0:55 The word is "Height". The word height ends in a hard "T". There is no such thing as "heighth". There is only "Height" and "Width".
