If it can't be monetized, it shouldn't exist - that's basically their philosophy. There must be a way to extract dollars from everything. And once you've figured out how to extract dollars, your next step is reducing the labor costs involved. They'd bring back slavery if they thought they could get away with it. These artists (and coders, writers, graphic designers, etc.) should all be fairly compensated for their efforts, and using AI to create digital facsimiles of someone's livelihood should be illegal. When everyone's so poor they can no longer afford to buy video games, what are the EAs, Activision/Blizzards and Ubisofts going to do then? Sell games to AI customers?
I used to do commercial VO for a living, and that market has been devastated by companies unwilling to compensate talent for their work. Industrial VO has been taken over by text to speech and AI as well. That corporate training video that sounds terrible now? That used to be someone like me, making enough from that gig to pay my rent. That "on hold" message used to be someone like me making enough for a car payment. One 30 second commercial covered a week of groceries. Now the industrial narration is gone, the on hold message is a robot, and you'd be lucky to get 25 bucks for a 30. The enshittification is hitting talent at every level.
It’s to the point now in which the big banks and private equity firms are pushing for AI customers and investors. No more of these pesky humans who want ROI.
They want to use talent, and effort to make money, but the corporations want to pad the CEOs salary and not the person doing the actual work. I say let the CEO crawl around on camera or do flips for 8 hrs a day if he wants their pay.
I once worked on a game that was based on a major film franchise, but we couldn't make the characters look TOO much like the actors, or we'd have to pay likeness rights. It shouldn't just be the really famous actors that get to have a say in how their bodies, voices, faces etc are used.

I notice you're looking at RUclips and making comments on it, so I assume I've just answered my own questions.
The fact the gaming industry hasnt been unionized for the most part, has opened it to massive exploitation at the detriment to the workers and the consumers. Hopefully these strikes helps restore what the industry should be moving forward.
there's no such thing as a eurocentric culture which allows laborers to be humanized. its what makes our culture eurocentric lol. if we start treating workers like human beings who generate most of the wealth our society enjoys, we'll become too asian for european loyalists liking.
@@saturationstation1446 I'm sure of that made perfect sense in your head but it seems that you believe Asians treat "workers like human beings who generate most of the wealth our society", which is hilarious to anyone who has been to Asian, met an Asian, read a single thing about Asian. It really ignores the fact that European coutries don't treat their workers with anywhere near the disdain of America.
hmmmmm... it's almost as if the corporations and their shareholders care more about money than the people that earn it for them. pretty soon they will figure out a way to make a buck out of this comment i'm posting now. after all SOMEONE has to ruin it all for everyone else...
Just friendly reminder that shareholder primacy is a blight on society. The quest for infinite profit increase is like a cancerous growth that has no regard for its host.
i mean, when 99% of the human species is murdered with labor induced starvation despite the existence of unions, what benefit do they actually bring? seems to me that they are a last ditch effort to cling to a system which is built to perpetually keep most of our species in squalor and destitution. but they have no substantial effect and it can be argued that they are just plain harmful because of how they seem to be able to convince a handful of people that this system and this culture is salvageable, when anyone who can let go of emotional attachment to eurocentric culture knows its just basic common sense to understand that it cant be anything other than a feudal mode of economic organization because otherwise the monarchs lose their right to have masses of wealth and power, due to them having no hand in actually producing that wealth and power, just a paper that says they have ownership of everything and everyone in perpetuity....
As a Gamer, who loves Games, I will say only this: UNIONIZE EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!! Come on, are you THAT surprised. The past few TrIpLe AaA games to come out have been mostly low effort crap chasing whatever's trendy and spitting out half assed sequels with LESS content than preiously. And to top it all off (and bring it to unions) they do this while promising INSANE turnarounds that just arn't possible. Of course I want our games to be better. But the only way to do that is to treat your creatiive teams and the people working on games well. if you don't, it shows in their art.
Investors that snapped up several studios after 2020 when they saw the amount of profit (from people stuck at home due to COVID bought more games) are also a huge problem. They have closed studios that previously developed great games just because a couple of them performed poorly, and they are splitting up teams/ laying off so many people, and expecting the remaining employees to cover the positions of their ex-coworkers and deliver a high quality product in the same window. Then, less creative freedom because they are so profit driven that they only want to keep following the same exact formula of the best selling games. Less risk, less freedom to create something unique, etc.... Highly regarded RUclips channels have turned into garbage for the same reasons and similarly minded investors.
Insomniac... I know they got bought by Playstation but I remember a time where they were making the original RaC games. At one time they had figured out that crunch culture made for bad games and made a promise to never rush a game again. They put together some of the best games, especially in recent history. I hope they agree to come to the bargaining table.
If they don’t, or if Sony Interactive and/or PlayStation Studios (Sony Holdings might also have a say in the decision) prohibit them from doing so, then I may as well not buy any of their games again. (Also if they go all digital, I’m not buying their consoles.)
It's not just about "AI" replacing people.. it's about the quality of literally EVERYTHING dropping by a factor of 100. HUMANS MAKE ART, not a MFn algorithm
speaking of video games, have you considered making a post/video about the EU initiative 'Stop Killing Games' ? It's not a 'work' related union, but it is a union of people banding together to make games better for the consumers.
As a consumer, I’m all for it but I don’t think people realize how it will impact game companies revenue and video game workers. Leaving aside the additional costs for these companies (e.g. much higher licensing rights) once people can continue playing their older games for free, they’ll be far less inclined to buy new ones. It’s not a problem for the consumers but the impact it’s likely to have on game companies is fairly obvious.
@@a0me it doesn't have to be for free, the problem is that there's a chance that old games not only get delisted from digital stores, but the publishers can take away the licences from your digital libraries, like Ubisoft's original Crew game. Not only did it get delisted for turning off its servers because it was an online only game, people reported having the game taken away from their digital libraries without notice, so we won't get to play them even if we mod it to have an offline component, and I know people who want to play it because you get to drive around USA like a road trip, and it looks better than crew 2
This is why we need UBI. They can and will just continue to expand their use of AI, as workers in all walks of life are put out of jobs or reduced to substandard living wages. Unions are fighting the good fight, but the only way out of this is redistribution of wealth from the top down. The citizens of the United States ARE the United States. We need people to care enough to run for office and entirely revolutionize the system such that corporate oligarchs can no longer shield their wealth from taxation. With UBI, Unions could sustain their strikes longer and push for fairer shares of the profits. With UBI, innovator can start their own projects to compete to bring a better product to market. With UBI, small towns hollowed out by big box stores can revitalize their small businesses. And no, people won't just choose not to work. UBI isn't a living wage in itself, and anyone wanting to have a better life will still work to attain that, but with UBI, at least people will have the power to choose how they live their life, instead of billionaires choosing what table scraps to leave for them.
Ok I get it you are just pushing a UBI agenda. But see, there are so many dangers involved with a ubi. Firstly considering the government's track record of lying corruption, greed and incompetence do younreally want then controlling your wages. Secondly some people work harder, smarter, longer, others are lazy; a ubi does not recognise or honour work ethic or talent. Thirdly it will ensure all money becomes digital, which is also incredibly fraught with danger. Imagine if the internet went down like it did recently in the US, but all money was also digital as well. Also Imagine a social credit system where your access to your money can be controlled basic on how "well you behave" according to totalitarian government. Its implemented right now in China, nearly in place in Australia, and coming to a country near you. See, sharing wealth together and equal rights is great idea but unfortunately u doesn't work because there are too many selfish greedy people at the top as well as people who would become lazy and not do their jobs properly because they know how they stillnget paid the same regardless.
Yes, exactly like you put it: corporations and governments are a collection of individuals working towards a common goal, although that goal may be undesirable.
you don’t want corporations to absolutely fuck you out of profits and a better life and proper pay?? YOU SOUND LIKE A COMMIE BRUBBER 🦅 🦅 YOU WILL BE A CUCK TO CEOS AND LIKE IT 🇺🇸 🇺🇸
This shit again from the greedy companies. I hope people wake up, speak out, these people make your video games. Support them! Art is by PEOPLE for PEOPLE! PERIOD!
So just buy the games that use real people and leave the ones who use AI alone. You cannot dictate to an industry the direction it should go. If AI saves the company money and time, it may be better for them to use AI. Nothing ever was written in stone that games like films Must Only always use real actors. That's super silly. we have had Cartoons for Years! Did the actors strike because people used cartoon animation instead of real people NO! - That's how you know parts of this strike is being pushed by selfish people who have an agenda.
For NPC's, LLM chat bots can be more immersive, and more unpredictable. However, the data sets are built off of people, so there needs to be legal requirements to make sure the attributor is paid
Man forget the AI they are protesting the wrong thing. What is the point of this if companies can close the games after a while and erase all the work. Europe is doing the good fight right now.
Video games, as an industry, has gone into the toilet over the last couple of decades because of corporate greed squeezing consumers for every penny they can get out of them while paying their employees a pittance - it’s time that they are made to pay for it! Keep striking folks!
I believe that you are right to fight this one big time because of all the creativity that has already taken place and the lack of regulations & potential replacement of the actual workers & creators!! Standing with you all in this strike to get fair treatment & compensation!!
This is why many modern video games are so unoptimized and buggy. Shareholders and CEOs wants to crush the workers by making the deadline extremely short to maximize profits.
Times like this is when the people need to realize we don't need these corporate bullies! Just make your own movies, games, art etc whatever with whomever and stop depending on them. Independent companies are a thing and we're gonna need these kinds of companies now more than ever. They think we need their "convenience" but we don't. Take the power back out their hands and back to the people where it belongs. Art and capitalism never works well together. Artists stop 🛑 giving your beautiful work to these corporate titans, they own it once you do, and when they do, you the artist won't get it back..
I hope you guys win because you are the true heroes of video game world. You’re the real artist, storyboard, computer, engineers, and all that stuff will make the video game a video game and I hope you win and get all the stuff you need and not be replaced by stupid AI. 🙏
Respect to the artists, technicians, performers who help bring era-defining games to players everywhere. Divided we beg, united we bargain! Solidarity forever!
Also reprehensible in this situation are the consumers shrugging their shoulders and going “who cares” about thousands of peoples’ livelihoods. If it doesn’t affect them directly they simply don’t have an incentive to change their buying habits, however small of a sacrifice it would demand
Same as the digital age removed a need for switch board operators. People kick and scream about innovation yet everyone here is on a smart phone and computer that destroyed endless jobs. It also made more skilled jobs.
It has already! Most companies sort through work applications with flawed “AI” software that will reject amazing applicants just because it can’t read the formatting properly or green light applications that are utter nonsense just because it has a few keywords and phrases it’s been taught to recognize. Now we’re hearing about insurance companies using AI to determine coverage; literally leaving life or death financial decisions - not to medical lawyers, not doctors, not to any human professional - but to a black box that can’t conseptualize anything, only spew up flawed versions of patterns it’s been fed. Industries have been looking for ways to cram AI into anything to take away jobs at the detriment of the product and/or service because it’s not about making something worth buying, it’s just about quarterly earnings. Like top management coming into companies to grab as much money they can before bailing a sinking ship and blaming the underpaid contractors for the downfall.

How are we not stealing from other artists when we make a Doom clone or anything else that is similar to something else that already exists? You make it sound like Ai has a will of it's own and can think. Only thinking beings can actively Steal anything. Ai at best just scans the Internet and recombines the image data. Sounds more like a fancy colage (Co-Loj) to me
How can they Win when they present a good choice and a very bad choice? On one hand they don't want actors likeness being used illegally which is wonderful to fight for - but they also don't want any AI to be able to "replace" them as the fellow at the end said which is Very Dishonest. You cannot dictate what an industry can or cannot do if it chooses. For many devs AI is faster, cheaper than real actors and heck might even do the job better. It should be their right to use AI if they choose.
Its a waste because companies are closing and erasing the art and work. Europe is doing the good fight right now for long term goals this protest is a waste of time. What is the point if 10 years later I erase all existence of the game.
You absolutely can dictate what industries are allowed to do, if you have a critical mass of people on your side (and especially government regulators too). Companies are motivated exclusively by profit. When you withhold your labor or your purchase, you block that profit. They'll do anything to get it back.

The fact that gaming programming has a huge turn over.. just shows that the whole gaming industry need unions.. and honestly if someone can make a decent wage and have a career in games.. the gamers would benefit just as much 😊 cuz if good workers can stick around they'll produce much better products
What I don't get is if they're trying to replace every worker with automation, Where are the people that buy their products going to make money? They could all these businesses that are using AI to take over jobs that used to be long to humans, Could inadvertently be putting them out of business because they will have no customers.
The business management making these decisions don't care. That is a next quarter problem when they've already gotten their bonuses and jumped ship for greener pastures.
If the gamers came together, and don't buy their products until the workers get fair pay, it would be great, but idealistic. People don't know struggle, until it knocks at their door. I hope they win. If they do, realistically it will not last long... Greed always finds the way to win.

I noticed when this story first broke that a bunch of media outlets were outright lying that this was going to delay GTA VI (as if they haven't already captured everything for that game ages ago). They had no actual basis to say that other than pointing to Take-Two as one of the companies being struck. At no point was a delay ever mentioned by anyone officially, it was just a way to get gamers angry at the strikers.
Not related to this video but a video suggestion: I think you guys should cover military spending. I can help work on the video if you need me to but I'm very interested in how much of our defense budget goes to research, a lot of which doesn't even produce results. Take the Bradley fighting vehicle for example. It's hard to get accurate numbers but my best guess (without doing much more extensive research) is that the US has spent over 200 billion on trying to replace this vehicle. The first Bradley's were received in 1981. They started trying to replace it in 1985. The Bradley has some flaws and we've lost many of them over the course of its service (apparently 17 to friendly fire in the Persian Gulf war) but the tank has proven itself to be reliable, good at protecting the soldiers within it, and effective. In the Persian Gulf, the Bradley is recorded as destroying more enemy armored vehicles than the M1 Abrams. I'm not making the case that the Bradley is perfect, but I am making the case that we have had one of the most advanced light armor vehicles on the planet since the 1980's and the US has taken billions of dollars and thrown them at trying to replace it instead of putting it into social programs. In 2023 congress broke records with the largest defense bill budget ever with $816 billion, which was 45 billion dollars MORE than the military even requested. While some of that money goes to vital services like the VA and raising pay for soldiers, I have to wonder how much goes to research programs to replace equipment and/or technology that is already the best in the world. The deeper you dig into the US defense spending, the less sense it makes. We talk about not having the money to pay for things we need like healthcare and free education but I can tell you where the money is. By the way, these defense budget bills are usually bi-partisan but who voted against that massive one in 2023? Oh yeah, the excellent AOC. I could definitely make a whole video talking about the wasteful spending on defense that could be better used on domestic programs and resources.
Thank you to all those striking right now! As another worker in the games industry, I pray that your strike sends ripples throughout our whole industry so I can get unionized too
The awesome thing about unions is how people actually think they are getting something out of them and then the companies fire everybody a few months after the strike. Meanwhile the union bosses and company fat cats are hanging out laughing at all the employees and union members.
Yeah the Hollywood strike was awful. Less movies and less workers. But we've seen a wave of successful indies, in both movies and gaming. People are just hypnotized into believing there's no other option. They are weak
nah unions are completely useless now and just show us who is too emotionally attached to eurocentric culture to be salvageable in the new world. every win unions have gotten in the past two decades is almost immediately negated by the severe inflation that laundering billions of dollars into europe brings to our currency.. your problem is strictly eurocentric culture and its tolerance of rich people. how its always going to bend rules to cater to them and never acknowledge that anyone else has any remote right to be alive with any quality of life.

That is not in any way a solution, just a change in individual consumer habits, which if enough people do them, the indie company will either join the big ones or get bought by them
Indie games are great. But these are diffrent markets from AAA. And will continue to be diffrent markets until we can break down I.P. law and re-write it to nake sense in a digital era, or nullify it by making some form of monitary system that actually makes sense in a digital era, or some combination of the two. And no, I do not mean Crypto, that does not make sense, ever.
At the moment gamers by and large don't care or even know if the creature they are fighting is digitized from a human actor or is AI created. That is all about to change. The AI experience may be able to do appealing things human actors cannot do such as have real time conversations about the game lore or other game related aspects. They can drop hints to the player, they can make a game world feel interactive and so much more real than scripted actors could ever do. This is what some of those actors are afraid of. I say tough on them, deal with it. They will get fewer acting jobs or have to learn other skills to make money
@@DivergentDroid That’s not the point kid. The point is that it’s going to impact all industries, including yours. How are companies going to get money if everyone is unemployed?

i dont really care about the AI i want the to strike to make better games.. such a downturn in the industry the last 10 years. there will be companies that acquire that data for cheap to nothing and they will use it till the end of time and leave all of you out in the cold cuz you signed away your rights to even get the job in the first place. like how toyota can keep you in a U.S. factory for 14 hour shifts when they told you it was only 10 hour shifts.. you will sign a contract agreeing to wave your rights or you won't work there..
some people seem to believe that ai can't replace us comparing how tractors and computers and giving some weird justification that it will create more jobs, in the job case i have heard the counter argument that ai will create jobs but it will remove even more than it creates also in case of AI here you are just technically selling the brain(a metaphor to describe just giving intelligence) (the thing that gives human labor meaning), as for ai will just enhance your work and improve your creativity and remove just the tedious jobs, this is false whatever you will create with the ai, the corporations will just use that to train it as well creating a cycle, that is why it is a dangerous. also people don't seem to understand exponential growth (n * n * n) as happened in the case of digital storage (hardrive, ssd's) and i have seen one video online which seems to claim that it will only slowly grow(n + n + n), so the youtuber i trust i think he belives that ai will just grow exponentially just look at where we we in the past and how chatgpt just reached a million users in 5 days (so from what i understand the ai will grow exponentially).
Could you guys explore Museums, Aquariums, Zoos, Libraries, and other Cultural 'Non-Profits'? I'm with the Field Museum Workers United and I think this will interest you.
this isnt exactly related to the video but for some reason, it reminded me of how eurocentric culture calls some workers "unskilled" when in reality those are just categories of who is born well off and who isnt. there is no unskilled labor anywhere. the human body registers more sensory information than any artificial machine ever could. there are no machines that could ever surpass the complexity and skill of the human body. its why labor will never be replaced by robots like so many well off people like to fantasize about. because there is far more happening in our bodies when we are doing simple tasks than well off people want to acknowledge. otherwise they will be forced to feel like pieces of sh!+ because they simply labelled people who didnt have any wealth as unskilled when they had magnitudes more skill than themselves. especially when all those "unskilled" people are producing exponentially more wealth on paper than the emotional value that the "skilled" aka born well off worker could ever hope to generate. and thats all well off people do really generate on paper because they use faaaaar more resources than they produce, which means they are mathematical net losses to the human economy. its just their emotional attachment to eurocentric culture and being born well off that separates the categories of "skilled" and "unskilled" labor. one could argue that most "skilled" labor iisnt labor at all because scientifically you have to move weight with your own body to be doing "work".
Workers deserve Ai protection. However I don't have anything against using Ai in any field of work. I believe there should be consent with AI. Its best AI learns about consent before it becomes sentient.
It's kind of sad to see these people willing to compromise. Not their fault. It is just the reality that if AI is able to be used so extensively it will be used to cut down labor costs. From a fiscal perspective it makes perfect sense. I mean, it's why we use more and more advanced tools. More efficiency, less time consumed. Less risk generally. Easier to achieve desired results. But AI will in so many ways replace the need for any human input in so many things it should be seen as that too. As a tool capable of destroying livelihoods, of being akin to an actual disaster causing famine and destitution. As long as people treat it as a neutral, useful, tool it will happen exactly this way because corporations will never stop pushing for it to be this way. They will never care about workers this way because a corporation isn't a person. It's a collective where the people at the top and the shareholders it's beholden to only have the job of making money. There is an almost inevitability to this unless people realize the true depth of danger, unless people can stop being complacent. AI epitomizes the issue of fiscal pragmatism over having a better society for all. It is the kind of novel technology that will lead to a dystopian reality for many many people.
Corporations want to crush the soul out of everything, not just videogames.
If it can't be monetized, it shouldn't exist - that's basically their philosophy. There must be a way to extract dollars from everything.

The fact the gaming industry hasnt been unionized for the most part, has opened it to massive exploitation at the detriment to the workers and the consumers. Hopefully these strikes helps restore what the industry should be moving forward.
Yes, and itnis even worse now, that saudi arabia is using their wealth in video games as a means to spread influence
and then after your 6 months of crunch people blame the devs for the game being rushed, not the management
there's no such thing as a eurocentric culture which allows laborers to be humanized. its what makes our culture eurocentric lol. if we start treating workers like human beings who generate most of the wealth our society enjoys, we'll become too asian for european loyalists liking.
@@saturationstation1446 I'm sure of that made perfect sense in your head but it seems that you believe Asians treat "workers like human beings who generate most of the wealth our society", which is hilarious to anyone who has been to Asian, met an Asian, read a single thing about Asian. hmmmmm... it's almost as if the corporations and their shareholders care more about money than the people that earn it for them. pretty soon they will figure out a way to make a buck out of this comment i'm posting now. after all SOMEONE has to ruin it all for everyone else...
Doesn't matter in the end. The workers and the gamers need to win. Too many business people destroying life, careers, talent and legacies.
Just friendly reminder that shareholder primacy is a blight on society. The quest for infinite profit increase is like a cancerous growth that has no regard for its host.
Unions everywhere are good for society. AI is bad. Also, the gaming industry now is absolutely awful and soulless.
i mean, when 99% of the human species is murdered with labor induced starvation despite the existence of unions, what benefit do they actually bring? seems to me that they are a last ditch effort to cling to a system which is built to perpetually keep most of our species in squalor and destitution. but they have no substantial effect and it can be argued that they are just plain harmful because of how they seem to be able to convince a handful of people that this system and this culture is salvageable, when anyone who can let go of emotional attachment to eurocentric culture knows its just basic common sense to understand that it cant be anything other than a feudal mode of economic organization because otherwise the monarchs lose their right to have masses of wealth and power, due to them having no hand in actually producing that wealth and power, just a paper that says they have ownership of everything and everyone in perpetuity....
The next people to strike should be development teams. They are abused and overworked.
that would be wonderful
Activision-Blizzard's WoW developers have recently voted to unionize. Momentum appears to be heading in that direction.
Yes!! It boggles my mind the lack of game development unions!
Too many games come out each year anyway, time to slow down the speed
they also have a louder voice, friend
As a Gamer, who loves Games, I will say only this:
UNIONIZE EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!
Unions have pros and cons the same as none union does. We need both. So yes we need more unions but please dear god don’t unionize everything.
@@IL_Bgentyl The only union that should be gone is police union.
Unionizing is garbage and it destroys economies.
(Also if they go all digital, I’m not buying their consoles.)

speaking of video games, have you considered making a post/video about the EU initiative 'Stop Killing Games' ? It's not a 'work' related union, but it is a union of people banding together to make games better for the consumers.
bump this post, absolutely cover this. Consumer rights. I bought it, I should own it.
Bumpin this post fosho
As a consumer, I’m all for it but I don’t think people realize how it will impact game companies revenue and video game workers. Leaving aside the additional costs for these companies (e.g. much higher licensing rights) once people can continue playing their older games for free, they’ll be far less inclined to buy new ones. It’s not a problem for the consumers but the impact it’s likely to have on game companies is fairly obvious.
@@a0meBeing able to play your old games makes you not get any new ones and that's a problem? What????

Also, doubtful. GTA6 is a literal meme in how long it's taking, what's another year?
@tHebUm18 the reason why this is the case is probably because rockstar is so focused on how much money they want to get in developing GTA6 Online.
i dont really care about the AI i want the to strike to make better games.. such a downturn in the industry the last 10 years. there will be companies that acquire that data for cheap to nothing and they will use it till the end of time and leave all of you out in the cold cuz you signed away your rights to even get the job in the first place. like how toyota can keep you in a U.S. factory for 14 hour shifts when they told you it was only 10 hour shifts.. you will sign a contract agreeing to wave your rights or you won't work there..
I think AI should be included, though. And I think it's bullshit that some companies are prohibiting artists from using AI in their work.
I don't game, but people deserve to be payed for their work, esp some to this "level" of athleticism.
some people seem to believe that ai can't replace us comparing how tractors and computers and giving some weird justification that it will create more jobs,
in the job case i have heard the counter argument that ai will create jobs but it will remove even more than it creates
also in case of AI here you are just technically selling the brain(a metaphor to describe just giving intelligence) (the thing that gives human labor meaning),
as for ai will just enhance your work and improve your creativity and remove just the tedious jobs,
this is false whatever you will create with the ai, the corporations will just use that to train it as well creating a cycle, that is why it is a dangerous.
also people don't seem to understand exponential growth (n * n * n) as happened in the case of digital storage (hardrive, ssd's) and i have seen one video online which seems to claim that it will only slowly grow(n + n + n),
so the youtuber i trust i think he belives that ai will just grow exponentially just look at where we we in the past and how chatgpt just reached a million users in 5 days (so from what i understand the ai will grow exponentially).
I dont support triple A companies anymore
Could you guys explore Museums, Aquariums, Zoos, Libraries, and other Cultural 'Non-Profits'? I'm with the Field Museum Workers United and I think this will interest you.
I prefer text over voice actors. But, A.I. can go to hell.
You have my full respect. 💪
Power to you guys
dope!!! keep fighting
With all the closed studios and layoffs in the video game industry this will not end well 😞
I think AI already replaced the workers of a Company that made my favorite game and now they dont have Jobs thats so sad
AI Triple A video games *will Always Fail.* than Gollum
Proud of people expressing
Can we replace CEO's with AI?
thank you
I'm currently playing a video game on the toilet.
i say yes to this
Using A.I. would lower the cost of video games?
What about the other people who are losing their jobs to machines?
this isnt exactly related to the video but for some reason, it reminded me of how eurocentric culture calls some workers "unskilled" when in reality those are just categories of who is born well off and who isnt. there is no unskilled labor anywhere. the human body registers more sensory information than any artificial machine ever could. there are no machines that could ever surpass the complexity and skill of the human body. its why labor will never be replaced by robots like so many well off people like to fantasize about. because there is far more happening in our bodies when we are doing simple tasks than well off people want to acknowledge. otherwise they will be forced to feel like pieces of sh!+ because they simply labelled people who didnt have any wealth as unskilled when they had magnitudes more skill than themselves. especially when all those "unskilled" people are producing exponentially more wealth on paper than the emotional value that the "skilled" aka born well off worker could ever hope to generate. and thats all well off people do really generate on paper because they use faaaaar more resources than they produce, which means they are mathematical net losses to the human economy. its just their emotional attachment to eurocentric culture and being born well off that separates the categories of "skilled" and "unskilled" labor. one could argue that most "skilled" labor iisnt labor at all because scientifically you have to move weight with your own body to be doing "work".
Good luck to all of you fighting the good fight!
Workers deserve Ai protection. However I don't have anything against using Ai in any field of work. I believe there should be consent with AI.
Its best AI learns about consent before it becomes sentient.
Games cost such an abusrb amount of money to make already, lets hope ai cuts those costs down.
I hope you guys achieve everything you want!
I will not buy any video games that include AI assets until I know that the artists they are based on are paid fairly and fully.
