If I had to pick, I’d say the 8th one. It’s the only one of the ten that I consistently struggle to finish at all, nonetheless get platinum. I can understand why people despise the 7th one, but I’ve simply never had the issues people have had with it.
Go's that's some dedication. I'm a pikmin veteran and even I haven't had the patience to sit down and platinum every Sage leaf stage. Kudos to you for sticking with it until you did!
Also for people struggling to punch the Story 7 beasties to death without transporting them, remember you can actually turn off the Extra Hand ability in the Gear menu.

I feel like the rock are stronger in the 9th because of how strong they are with oatchi. They are so strong that ultra spicy spray decreases the damage of charge attack for rocks with oatchi.
What i did for one fell jump is i threw the pikmin around and somehow i zigzaged it in a way where it eliminates everything just right so it only took me like 10 attempts
Use two player mode. If you've bought a pro controller, you should still have a pair of joycons. Use them as player two. They can literally do drone strikes on enemies and allow you to use items in challenges/battles. Story 6 has cheese: just drop a carrot on the button at the end with P2 and walk on over!

The auto lockon is the greatest nuisance in this game. You are actively fighting for control over it
