A minor correction regarding the last cocktail, the Elder Fashioned...
There are two popular recipes for the Elder Fashioned each calling for alternate base spirits. Phil Ward of Death & Co, New York City created his Elder-Fashioned with Plymouth gin in 2007 and Simon Difford used bourbon whiskey whilst at The Cabinet Room in London the year prior. I mentioned the bourbon whiskey version was by Phil Ward... but this is wrong. eek!

There's a great cocktail with St germain you should try.
      It's called the Cure:
      30ml Hendrick's gin (1oz)
      15ml St germain (0.5oz)
      15ml lemon juice (0.5oz)
      10ml simple syrup (0.33oz)
      Dry shake with cucumber slices
Gently top with prosecco or champagne.

The recipe you showed on screen was different to what you said/made (the recipe says 1 dash bitters, but you went with 2). Can you please clarify which is “correct”/whether you think it’s better one way or the other?

    2 oz whiskey
    1 oz Lemon juice
    3/4 oz st germain
Shake and serve over ice in rocks glass. Sometimes garnish with lemon wheel or mint
A bartender made me this drink in Austin Texas and I’ve remade it at home so much times it is so delicious! He called it a Whiskey Margarita but I call it a Special Arnold Palmer because it takes like tea and lemonade!! The best 🥰

Love me some St Germain. It can be the “secret sauce” in so many cocktails. And I agree it pairs so well with cucumber. Gin base is also a favorite pairing of mine. Just came up with this one that I enjoyed last night (no name yet):
    2oz Hendricks Gin
    1oz St Germain
1/2 oz. Kaz Spiced Honey Liquor (it’s a locally distilled spirit)
    3/4 oz lemon juice
    Muddled blueberries (about 10 berries)
    Muddled Mint leaves (about 5)
    Cheers!

Thanks steve. Great work. Keep smiling

In England, cider is also the fermented juice of apples. It is also almost always alcoholic, but you may occasionally see bottles where the alcohol has been removed to below 0.5% ABV, and it has been re-carbonated. In the US, where I now live, cider is unpasteurized, unfiltered apple juice, and it can be hard or soft. It will naturally ferment and turn into what the rest of the world calls cider.

I see you have a bottle of Italicus there. I just got one myself and would love some recipes!

One of my go-to drinks is an English Martini. I've seen different proportions, but I prefer to use the classic martini blend of 5:1.
Strip the leaves off a sprig of rosemary into a mixing glass. 2 1/2 oz. gin, .5 oz St. Germain. Muddle the rosemary. Add ice. Stir. Strain. Garnish with a fresh sprig of rosemary.

Always considered buying this bottle for a few cocktails, but it's pretty dang expensive here in these parts (central Canada) for such a unique ingredient.

Great job Steve. :) St. Germain is a very underrated liqueur in the cocktail world.

Try 2-1.5-.5-.5(simple) on that French gimlet. Mix to alcohol ratio is a tad off I think it could taste better with a little more sugar and water

Thanks for the videos! I have been loving them. Where do you get your coupe that you pour the french gimlet in? Thank you!

Love this. I had St Germain purely for the purpose of rescuing rough champagne.
