This song is about TIll himself and how he feels with his strong stagefright. He just wanted to make musik in the start but now he cant back down anymore because of Rammsteins success and there is so much behind it. So he pushes himself onto the sage stage into the spotlights (thousand suns)

In my opinion, it is about social constraints that demand something from us that is not in our nature.
"The name is spring ... So i'm assuming it is something nice and relaxing" after all the Rammstein reaction he did, he really have not lost it's hope 😄😄
A comment to the translation -- there is a word there, "redeem", that it is very important for the song, but sometimes looks odd in the context. This is actually the best word to translate German "erlösen" here, but it is not wide enough in meaning. "erlösen" is to save, rescue someone by setting him free from something, releasing. The ending of Lord's Prayer "and deliver us from Evil" uses "und erlöse uns von dem Bösen". Christ the Savior -- der Erlöser. To rescue a damsel-in-distress in a fairy tale is also "erlösen". On the other side, when someone dies, one can say "he is delivered (or released) from his burdens", "er wurde von seinem Leiden erlöst".
So, in the final the best translation would be something like "I release him from this shame" -- but that word would not work in the chorus. Translating a good poetry is very difficult even word-by-word. And Lindemann is a big poet, probably the best rock poet since Morrison had died.

Just another interpretation: Rammstein are artists and, you mentioned it, always meaningful and deep. What if this song isnt about what you said but instead a view from the artists side to the fans, producers etc.? If you are not doing what you want as an artist, your own style, lyrics and music. Instead doing what the crowd want to do! Are you authentic anymore? Are they artists any more? just my two cents ☺ Nice reaction, keep going ☺

The poor guy only wanted to see the view and is driven by the crowd (Till specifically) to die/kill himself - he never got up there wanting to jump. As Mr Borrany has said, this is not an official video - it's fan made and BRILLIANT! The song has never been performed live - I just think it would make a great new way of killing Flake in the concerts! LOL. Good analysis I reckon.
With the choir it's difficult to perform live. Rammstein really don't like canned background music.
Another interpretation i had first, what if this is about all the star search/got talent shows? A simple guy just want to have fun and is pushed into the stage light and dies for the entertainment of the others. And everyone is waiting for him to do because he is awful in his talents. Got this from the line "a thousand suns burn just for you", his famous 15min of fame. Well there are many ways to get sacrified for other peoples entertainment.
