Yeah, it is surprising. It has all the elements of a live performance. Sinister voice, heavy guitars, piano, voices in the background... Thank you for watching! :D
@@xsezz Same with their song "Dalai Lama", equally a hidden gem and based on the 1782 poem "Der Erlkönig" (The Erlking) by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe with a modern touch (the horrific crash of Japan Airlines Flight 123 on August 12, 1985 as featured on the entire "Reise, Reise" album). Instead of a father furiously riding his horse through the night to save his infant son wrapped in his arms the setting is a doomed airliner flight. The sound and vocals are hauntingly beautiful. :)
Another interpreation is that its more about the fear to commit to something. The guy at the bridge is the only one trying to achieve something, and the people want him to fail. But Till tells him that he has to commit, in order to redeem himself. The only way to get redemption is to "jump". This way the line at the end "Jump for me, Don't disappoint me" makes more sense. It always sounded more like a friend to me, who believes in you and wants you to succede. As always Rammstein lets us come to our own conclusions, and the whole suicide/group dynymic thing makes sense as well. But ever since stumbling upon that other interpretation i always feel encouraged by this song to do something that im afraid to do. To jump and redeem myself. Btw, this song is from Rosenrot, which has a lot of slower, heavier and darker songs. Basically an album for autumn and rainy days.
Here again shows how well-spoken Till is, by the way, he has also written books with poems that are just insane and he also takes a lot of that into his song lyrics I love his way of writing songs that is quite unique Greetings from Germany from Andreas
2:14 "Spring!" (Jump!) is the imperative mood (i.e. the command form) of the verb "springen" (to jump). Glad you caught the SP pronunciation rule (SHPRING) yourself this time. :)
This song is quite relevant if you think about it with all this social media / streaming pressure. Anyway thanks for reacting, haven't heard this song for a long time!
Good song and good reaction from you ........ The song is a bit older, but today it fits the time, because today is an accident somewhere you can see it the gawkers ...... Onlookers
Thank you so much! The song is great! Yeah, exactly... it feels like in today's world if an accident happens, people rush to their phones to film, instead of helping.
I heard this while working the night shift at Amazon about a year ago. It instantly became an all-time favorite! I just now decided to look up the meaning. I've seen two different interpretations in this comment section.; a dark and a positive take. Both are impactful. Love the hard beat with the soft touch of the piano. 💯🤘
My second favorite Song. Hell yeah. Real good. Thx man 😁. I'm glad I could recommend something good to you. Is a rarity of the song. For me the song shows bullying of the worst kind. The crowd chooses one. He endures it for a while, until someone comes who brings the barrel to overflow and gives the decisive push. Or just kill him out of hatred. The crowd celebrates him and clears the way for him.
@@xsezz This is "Heirate mich" "marry me". But I only think the studio version is good. I haven't liked a live performance of the song yet. The studio version tops everything for me, especially the lyrics. It was my first dark song at a young age. I didn't know Rammstein before. The song just blew everything away from me. Back then I also misinterpreted the lyrics a lot. It wasn't until later that I realized that the absolutely sick shit that's going on in the song.😁 But I think I've written that here before. But I think everyone has a song like that, which at the time was decisive for the direction of which music you will hear more than others in the future. This was mine.
This song also describe the peaples need for drama. If an accident on the highway accure, some peaple will step out of the car to take photos and some others will stop too because they want to know why they are stopping and the crowd would be so big that no help will arrive in time.
Good choice for react) amazing one! Cool combination of heavy and soft part, till’s voice - perfect! Lyrics with deep meaning. One of the best song for me) but what about chronological path?)) where is “ich will” week, for example?)))
Yeah, it's an awesome song! This song doesn't count in the chronological order as it's not an official video, not according to the wiki anyways. Any Rammstein song that doesn't have an Official Video and Official Making Of is fair game to listen to whenever. :)
"Rosenrot" is one of their best albums in my opinion. Best songs for me from this album are: "Rosenrot", "Spring", "Wo Bist Du", "Zerstoren" and "Feuer und Wasser"
@@xsezz I really like "Rosenrot", both song and album (also it has good video). But now I was just thinking, didn't I enjoy more "LIFAD bonuses"? It is short album added to limited edition of "Liebe ist fur alle da" , contains of five songs: - Fuhre Mich - classic rhytmic banger - Donaukinder - epic ballade hymn thing - Halt - sort of banger, sort of ballade, very sad overall with brutal lyrics - Roter Sand (orchester) - symphonic, nearly fairy-tale magical version of Roter Sand - Liese - innocent, yet terryfying, yet beautiful ballade about horrific thing
It's not how I initially imagined it to, but it's crazy imaginative and creativly done. Love the dark theme of the song and the piano notes, as you mentioned. Sort of making it a lot more sombre and sad. I agree, I also see it as a critique of the "watching/watcher" community.
It is about people givin wrong intention to someone, which are not the real, but the narrative, and therefore making forcing him into jumping, without him doin it by hisself or as only way out for him

Nice reaction to the video. But so far as I can read the comments (Sorry but I can't read all of those 106 comments) the core of this song is not to commit to something. It's all about of superficial thinking what other people are doing. And the one (picking out of those superficial people) seeing something what another person is might doing (worst case as usual). So he supposedly thinks for the general public in common that he will jump from the bridge. Event though, the person on that bridge won't jump and never supposed to do. But as this dynamic of crowd people thinking all the same it must be. So the only solution is to jump. Even the person spotting won't, the crowd pushes the person (with it's all power) (and unfair possibilities) to jump to make the crowd satisfied. (END) But that's scratching on the surface of the lyrics of this song. The layers of meaning are on-behalf of the listener. For me it's just, the obvious doesn't always have to be the right thing. EDIT; Till sometime uses in his poems a dialog between the "person" and listeners public meanning to interact.
It's a shame that Spring never got a live performance. Thank you for the reaction Xsezz!
True, one of the best songs of Rammstein....in my opinion

Probably because of the dark subject of the song

Interesting positive take. I like it! :D
never thought about it that way but I definitely can see arguements for it
But what about him wanting to just see the view but (presumably) Till pushing him down?
I always saw it as "death" that ultimately claimed his life... taunting yet forcing his death upon him, to claim his victim
