I agree, it was close, but in the end Taisuke EXPLODED with powermoves and precision to break off the abstract style set that they both were feeding on. In other words, He showed the crowd he still had enough energy to SPRINT to the finish line and the crowd simply reacted ;)
Taisuke used to be one of the top bboys i was a fan of! Now he seems a little cocky and doesn't really even try anymore, but even so, with sets that short and getting into finals for competitions like this? obviously he's still got it, just wish he'd go back to his old self from his BC ONE days.
I know aha I meant that he used to be one of the top bboys I was a fan of like top of my personal list lol he's still Taisuke, bc one all star, there's no doubt he's mad skilled.
Yeh i liked his style back in bc one. Like the battle katwo vs taisuke! lol so dope. but i think his new style is a lot flashier and faster paced which i enjoy watching.
i think he do it in every set ......... air track & flare after that doing footwork , but menno do some fresh link & move & trick ...... look so creative i hope taisuke put more dynamic in his set ..........
Taisuke looked tired, I've definitely seen more energy from him. Menno was nice and smooth. He didn't hit many beats but his sets seemed more complete. I honestly feel Menno won THIS battle. But Taisuke has more than he brought to this battle.
Man, stop being biased to Taisuke. I'm a fan and he's still a beast. But Menno's flow, dynamics, execution and originality... He definitely got this one.
Taisuke is smoother and has less flop in his power moves, he can actually flare a whole lot cleaner, and has much less issue doing moves such as nineteen nineties and that flare twist around. I think the reason Menno won was because Taisuke's rounds were shorter.
Menno does the same moves every battle. He's only good to watch if you've seen him the first couple of times as he's quite smooth, but Taisuke is so much sharper and crisp. I guess their styles are both different but I prefer Taisuke! He killed Menno with those power moves!
menno brought his unique style. he has toprocks, but he didn't really use them. He still stuck ith his style. i agree that some of taisukes sets were short, but so were some of mennos. i thought it was close. in all honesty i don't know who i would give this to.
I dunno, I don't think Taisuke tried hard enough. I don't know if he was tired or used up all the rest of his stuff to get to the finals but Menno definitely did more in this battle. You'll get em' next time Taisuke
Taisuke got killed. I don't know how he thinks his two second rounds were gonna bring him the win. Menno kept clean, had quick response & obviously longer sets. One set is gonna win you a 5 round battle (Taisuke's last set). Menno hands down
Guys taking more time from the rounds does not mean you are better, it means you're nervous enough of losing to one of the red bull bc one stars. So please stahp saying menno won.
So this is how Red Bull chose their special guest invites for BC One '13. Both dope bboys, so no complaints there, but I hope this doesn't mean events are all blending into one generic scene. I also have seen UK BBoy champs use other events as prelims, so I'm a little worried that events will lose the local flavor and just become one big tournament bracket instead of fun jams where you can get down with your friends and have a good time. Hope I'm wrong, though. Peace.
MAVERICOASTERS Oh, I love the small jams, no doubt, but there's no reason the celebrated events can't be unique as well, especially since they're the proverbial stars we shoot for. Peace.
Dance Community That's simply not true. IBE and Freestyle Session are two huge events that set a great example of how you can go big and still have a ton of community involvement and cyphers for days.
I know it is, but as a strategy as shown here, there's no need since they're both not dancing as much. If it was one person toprocking every round and the other didn't, then it'll be the other guy's loss. Remember, every judge there has a criteria on what they're suppose to judge on.

Menno always has different shit...but taisuke has really matured and is actually bboying way more than powermoves...hence the jackhammer getting him the win seriously...he didn't even pull on king flare or critical flare..
I agree, it was close, but in the end Taisuke EXPLODED with powermoves and precision to break off the abstract style set that they both were feeding on. In other words, He showed the crowd he still had enough energy to SPRINT to the finish line and the crowd simply reacted ;)

bro, his still one of the top bboys now.........
What with taisukes short sets.. Seems like he always has short sets in battles..
He won Uk Bboy champs Solo 2007 and 2013. And he already competed in red bull twice in 2008 and 2009. He is a well known Bboy.
one of the best line up for the 1vs1 this year...dope final!!
Menno had some really creative moves and he had some elaborate sets. He might not have matched Taisuke in dynamic, but he was really artful.
taisuke en la ultima ronda volvió a tener algo de su esencia original, EL RITMO !!!
MY point is that Menno has been around for a while and has been in the Red Bull world finals at least twice (08 and 09).
Yes I do. In addition, speed and tempo falls under execution and musicality at some cases.
it doesn`t have to be long. Bboys always gotta be sharp. big props to both aaaight
BBoy Champs 2013 | 1on1 Final | Menno vs Taisuke
who win ?
Menno took it
menno flav!!
one of the best styleheads in the world, u should do some study before you comment
i think he do it in every set ......... air track & flare after that doing footwork , but menno do some fresh link & move & trick ...... look so creative
i hope taisuke put more dynamic in his set ..........
Taisuke set is toooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo short == he could have won big if it add on long abit
Taisuke hasn't been in battles for quite a bit is what I read on the BC One Website. Good battle overall though.
MENNO WIN
I would give it to Taisuke, but Menno is also dope! I admire Taisuke's 2013-moves, but I miss Taisuke's 2007-style!
you is judges ?
taisuke winner ! *-*
me encanta la camisa , lastima creo no la venden solo a los all stars
Last song?
I want to know what the second song from the album?
taisuke took it for me!!! he is so inspiring
round ?
Tasuke go fast as a bugatti, have you ever see it live??? make you breathless Taisuke in 5 second can do all a normal person can do in 30's incredible
Taisuke looked tired, I've definitely seen more energy from him. Menno was nice and smooth. He didn't hit many beats but his sets seemed more complete. I honestly feel Menno won THIS battle. But Taisuke has more than he brought to this battle.
menno , on the description
Nice battle!!! Redbullbcone 2013 finals??? Haha :D
RBBC ONE 2014 Final =)
mandragonist Yap, my predictions where right :D and this year I've seen it with my own eyes :D
Me too, bro =)
Taisuke!!
who won?
Man, stop being biased to Taisuke. I'm a fan and he's still a beast. But Menno's flow, dynamics, execution and originality... He definitely got this one.
ofc i like Taisuke's style more....but Menno is a real Combobeast...props
who's winner??
never heard of menno... lets see him perform at red bull
man... menno is original bboy.. u cant battle with him with short sessions
Taisuke is smoother and has less flop in his power moves, he can actually flare a whole lot cleaner, and has much less issue doing moves such as nineteen nineties and that flare twist around. I think the reason Menno won was because Taisuke's rounds were shorter.
no dought obviously Menno is the winner..
Meeno win by how many vote ?
second song so dope!!!!!!!
saw this live it was so sick, if you ask me i think taisuke could of won but his rounds were too short
Hmm taisuke took this one for me. I felt menno on fair and square against lilou in 2012 I think. But this year no...
Build your stamina then, Toprock is as important to a set as the freeze, the power, the footwork.
foundation: taisuke
originality: menno
dynamics: taisuke
execution: taisuke
battle: menno
3-2 winner: Taisuke
Execution : menno .. power move taisuke is not very clean..menno clean in everything
Taisuke always cuts his sets short in the last battle of every contest. Same thing happened in Paris 2008
Menno slaughtered nuff said
Menno is sick!
I think you might be confusing fluidity for flow. Menno's got them liquid bones for sure, but being loose in all you do ain't always a good thing.
Mennooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!
I think that there should be a tie breaker. Both of them seemed a bit tired. Couldn't really decide...
because his moves are so fast
Menno does the same moves every battle. He's only good to watch if you've seen him the first couple of times as he's quite smooth, but Taisuke is so much sharper and crisp. I guess their styles are both different but I prefer Taisuke! He killed Menno with those power moves!
Taisuke sets were way too short! He could of done better, it seemed like he used all his good moves already...
taisuke
menno brought his unique style. he has toprocks, but he didn't really use them. He still stuck ith his style. i agree that some of taisukes sets were short, but so were some of mennos. i thought it was close. in all honesty i don't know who i would give this to.
You made sure not to mention musicality huh. Good one.
I dunno, I don't think Taisuke tried hard enough. I don't know if he was tired or used up all the rest of his stuff to get to the finals but Menno definitely did more in this battle. You'll get em' next time Taisuke
Taisuke's sets are too short...all good though.
Taisuke got killed. I don't know how he thinks his two second rounds were gonna bring him the win. Menno kept clean, had quick response & obviously longer sets. One set is gonna win you a 5 round battle (Taisuke's last set). Menno hands down
me neither even both but he won
Taisuke's sets were too short. He also seemed pretty tired as well. I agree Menno took that one but if Taisuke did more he would've won for sure
tasiuke come back
Guys taking more time from the rounds does not mean you are better, it means you're nervous enough of losing to one of the red bull bc one stars. So please stahp saying menno won.
Menno!
taisuke took dat one
taisuke has cheers
CRAZYYYY
IMO
1 round Menno
2 round tie
3 round tie
4 round Menno
5 round Menno
Gotta love those cocky bboys that Taisuke takes out one by one.
They both did well but i think T sets too short and M have no foundation at all.
i dont mind taisuke short sets, caus hes faster looks better than slow shit unless its playing with the music
Dang menno is getting lucky
yeah, i agree. Menno has a Unique style, pretty cool, but his opponents are ALWAYS faster than him... #slugstyleIMO
I can see why Menno won.
Menno was only frezzes taisuke has inproved a litle more
Both were VERY skilled, but in my opinion, the guy with the burgundy sneakers - (Menno) won this battle.
Peace.
MAVERICOASTERS
Oh, I love the small jams, no doubt, but there's no reason the celebrated events can't be unique as well, especially since they're the proverbial stars we shoot for. Peace.
if they are big events of course people does not go there to get down. and who wants and is not a Top of course wouldn't go there, i suppose :)
Dance Community
That's simply not true. IBE and Freestyle Session are two huge events that set a great example of how you can go big and still have a ton of community involvement and cyphers for days.
ok, thanks for the tip ;)
Taisuke ate him for breakfast! Did you see the smile of defeat on Menno at the end? The crowd were cheering for Taisuke!
I know it is, but as a strategy as shown here, there's no need since they're both not dancing as much. If it was one person toprocking every round and the other didn't, then it'll be the other guy's loss. Remember, every judge there has a criteria on what they're suppose to judge on.
I love Taisuke, but Menno is just too fresh.
is taisukes sets were longer than they were he probably could of won this battle still though respect to both ;)
Going 5 rounds at this level? That's why some runs were short. Im just glad i aint no judge. This was sooo damn close.

You are the man of the stats
I'm a huge Taisuke fan but he just wasn't on point in these battles like he usually is. Menno obviously took this.
Please tell me I didn't just read Menno has less experience then Taisuke.... You seriously need to do some research bruh bruh
menno took 4 out of 5.. taisuke rounds are too short!!! where was thesis? i thought he was in the 1v1s.
Menno 100%
but better...
You must be new...
Gat Dayum Menno
menno
man taisuke got second in solo and group? man thats harsh
Menno won..
Menno took all 5 rounds
Menno reapeated again what's with the judges?
taisuke vs better 2007-2008
Menno always has different shit...but taisuke has really matured and is actually bboying way more than powermoves...hence the jackhammer getting him the win seriously...he didn't even pull on king flare or critical flare..
Taisuke lost because no toprock and his sets were literally 10 seconds long after the second round.
he lost 2nd round in 2008 redbull bc one finals i think, and 2nd round in this years redbull bc one western european qualifers,
Please come so we can talk it over. I could also help you with your ABCs. Sound good?
