Amazing work Akos. Any advice for someone interesting in getting into the environment artist area. Any key skills that people are looking for? Nice music choice.
hey i came across this showreel i am pretty good with blender and started with unreal engine even I want to be an environment artist what softwares must I learn to be good for major big companies please help
Hey, these days Houdini is by far the most relevant software across all companies in general for scatter/layout environment work. Next is probably Maya, Zbrush, Substance, Nuke. Render engines differ per company, can be Katana or Clarisse. Unreal is great for virtual production roles, if you're interested in that direction.
Nagyon szép! :) I am an aspiring 3d artist and would love to get some advice on how/where to start learning for AAA environment/prop 3d artist (got a bit of experience in low poly for games) . Any website/course/tutorials you would recommend ? Köszönöm Szépen! I am a polish lad, living in UK with hungarian girlfriend :)
Hey Thanks! If you're interested in cinematics/film you should probably start with learning Maya, Mari, and Zbrush. I think they are the most common software used in this field. There are many great tutorials on Gnomon, look up some sculpting/modeling/texturing/environment DVDs there ;) For modeling you don't need to use Maya if you don't like it, but you should know your way around in it since many companies use it as a base for their pipeline.
