I would love to have most of the stuff that you leave behind. On the other hand, a backpack can only hold so much, especially if you are quite a distance from your vehicle. Great stuff, ROCK ON!
Hey there Jay, watched your last video and now this. All I can say is WOW. What a sweet hunt. I look forward to seeing some of those limbs and rounds in the rocksaw. I have been really busy down here in the Rogue Valley but it sure would be nice to take a hike with you up in your area. Thanks for the video, talk to you later.
Back in the early 90's, I found a 31-pound clear pink cast about 23" long. In the bank of the South Fork. On another visit I found up on the hill two logs laying nearly together. I covered up what I had exposed, but on a return trip they were gone. The excavation looked to be about 13-paces.I Love the South Fork.
When I used to collect I use to bring a bunch of heavy duty bright orange plastic shopping bags with straps and leave them as I filled them. Real easy to find your rocks again and you can carry 3 or 4 bags in each hand plus your backpack.
Algorithm brought me - thanks for a great video. I checked back your channel and unless I missed it there's not a video on our yearly allocation of free 250lbs obsidian per person out by Glass Buttes...I haven't made it there yet but the videos are always fun to watch because it's not just a lot of obsidian but it's every variety one can imagine.
Glad to see your video Jay. Been a while according according to my notifications. Awesome stuff. Thanks to you and the Fonz for taking us with!
