After working all summer and dealing with all of the wildfires glad you can get some time to rockhound. ALL of your videos since your break (and before too!)have been just excellent! The cutting video was particularly awesome! Hope to see some more of your finds before things get chilly. 🥶 👍The pet. Wood wow!
When the agatized wood is soooo good you have to spray yourself in the face to calm down😂 I'm so jealous you live in such a cool area, thanks for sharing! Old Canadian rockhound 🍁
I grew up in Eastern Oregon. So, when I watch your videos, I want to make a trip back and do some rock hunting (only I hate heights and steep inclines). I have enjoyed all of your videos, and this one especially for the petrified wood. Nice finds!
So happy for you dude! A day to remember for sure! What a variety of incredible material. Top notch close ups too! The pet. Wood was a dream come true! WOW!
Oh man you sure did find a geologic wonderland out there!!! That was amazing. All the different zones with different things in each little area was awesome! I think your absolutely right about the tree fern agate casts. And the wood does look like sycamore or oak with those big medullary rays. What a day! 🔥 🎉 🔥 🎉 🔥
It's an amazing area. I really wish I had logged exactly where those agate tree ferns were. I'm pretty sure I can pin point the spot again. After cleaning them up they are pretty special pieces. I'll have to learn to distinguish between the Sycamore and Oak. I am sure I found both. Can't wait to explore more.
@itslattice4195 if I ever want to get back to a spot I can take a picture of the area or a rock at that spot, and my phone shows where it's at on a map, even if it's out in the backcountry. I'm pretty sure most smartphones have this feature. Then you can find the g.p.s. Coordinates and re-trace the spot 👍
I'm sorry I talked so much but i'm old and when I see something I have to say it then, or I'll forget. And we should thank you for taking us along so thank you
Wow Jay! You really found some awesome rocks man! That detail in the pet wood at 31:00 was amazing! You have some choice hounding grounds to enjoy for quite a while it looks like. Too cool man, enjoy! Thanks for sharing your adventure!
That's a great day hounding! You know it's a good day when you have to be selective on what you decide to pack out. Cheers to more adventures man! Not gonna lie, I'm living vicariously through your vids right now lol!
Some days it doesn't let up! Great video! In Oregon it is possible to find whole round limbs on vacant lots in Eugene. You just need to look! Need to build a drone that will stay in the truck bed until you call it to carry your goods out!
Found your channel after looking up rockhounding, since we're bringing our kids to Prineville soon and want to look for shinies with them. Love your finds and the peaceful quality of your videos.
Wow, you found some amazing stuff. Me and my hubby have been exploring the Ochocos for the last two year and keep making guesses to where your videos are lol. Never ran across petrified wood in our explorations, found some sweet agate areas. Would love to explore with you some time.
Hey love the variety you always come upon. Would love to know what your locations are. I grew up in a very rich and well known area for all kinds of different rock. But never as beautiful as there.
Watching again and again. Do you ever do meet ups? I'm sure I wouldn't be able to keep up but I'd give it a try. ....? I could pull my garden wagon to haul your big ones down. I'm in Bend roundabouts.@@itslattice4195
That hunt was so far beyond it had even your eyes buggin😮! Any one of, say 20, of those specimens you left behind could easily have been my piece of the day. 😂 Ridiculous variety, quality, size and abundance. Now how ur gonna rest with that red keeper in the ground is on u. ⛏️⛏️⛏️⛏️⛏️😅
Yeah it was an amazing day. Kept getting better and better. I'm already planning my next trip to get that red one! I was out of water and my phone was dying or I would have stayed and excavated that one. Hopefully I can find it again!
So how do you decide on an area to look? My wife and I are going to prineville this weekend since our deer hunt was ruined by wildfires, we thought we'd do some fishing and a little rock hounding.
Sorry to hear that. Hopefully, you have good luck with the fish and rocks! I like to go out to the gravel roads and check out road cuts, gravel areas, and spots with erosion like steep hillsides and drainages. Ochocos are great for this! I've found nice stuff right in the road cuts.
❤❤love ur channel more than anyone’s on here and you get the best looking stuff I can only dream about ,,, not to mention your not bad to look at either 😊.

Thanks so much for the feedback. We are going to try to get a lot of collecting in before the winter snow hits. Hopefully we find some good ones!

Nice, that would be cool! We could trade spots. Or go exploring for some new spots. What kind of agates you guys finding in the Ochocos?
Great channel! Love the Ochocos! Rich history in those hills and central Oregon in general. Spanish explorers were digging up gold in the 1600’s.
Thanks a lot. Yeah I've always wanted to drop down Spanish Gulch and look for gold. Ever been out there?
Please tell me where you were… I’m drooling. I live in eastern Oregon but never found a hill like that!
Crook County outside of Prineville
Happy to see a fellow Oregonian! You inspired me to check out the Ochocos and I am planning to go back soon!
Get out there and find it!
hell yeah brother!@@itslattice4195

Thank you. Just about any public land in Crook County has some potential to find something! I'll be sharing locations in the future.

Sending you airhugs of positive loving energy to you and yours.
Nice finds. You need to take a wagon with you on the next trip.😊
Thanks. That sure would be nice!
Awesome day! You should get Gaia GPS, you can save offline maps and store waypoints so you remember where things were!
I'll check that out. This area has so many small zones I would love to have them all logged.
@@itslattice4195 yeah it's a great tool man. It'll help you tremendously
Could you narrow the spot where this great rock hounding ground is?
I’d like to go there for my bucket list.
Central Oregon is a non-answer for sure.
Lots of knots!
Can't wait to get back out there!
U my favorite now!!
Nice! Love to hear it!!
Omg you said my favorite blue 💙 so many tmes
I'm going to my secret blue agate spot soon. I'll make a video.

You better get a wagon and a Big one
I want one I can pack in and assemble in field. I wonder if it exists. A pack wagon.
