I will never forget the time I met him at the Delta customer service counter at LAX. He came up next to me I look over at him at said” You are “ and he smile an said “ Yeah darling”. I melted right then and there. 🥰
i would have died!
Lawd, I would’ve replayed that moment in my head over and over again 😂🤣
I would have also melted
I would have been instantly moist down there...............yeah

This young man is WISE. And his vulnerability is absolutely admirable! I’m an old head and I plead with these youngsters to take over. Y’all know and you need to trust it.
I wish the audience wouldn’t sexualize him so much, he was talking some real stuff. Especially the part about mental health and his backstory for creating JUMP.
Thank you! He was being so incredibly vulnerable and a good amount of people were cheering/laughing during moments when they should have been contemplating and processing what he said...lowkey distruptive...start listening & stop lustin
Asé. I felt secondhand embarrassment😔
This was such a great conversation almost overshadowed by the wrong focus.
@@daniellemoxey9940 it's weird to have this kind of intimate type interview in front of what sounds like a crowded audience. It seems odd to me.
Agreed, he is a beautiful human physically to look at, but we must remember he is soo much more, Im impressed with how open he was. He started acting very young, and seems like he is ready to expand beyond that. I hope he finds his peace.
@@JB4C89 yeah at times he did sound young. At the time of this he was only 24 (not like he's old as hell now though)
Everything he said was GOLD. Years later… this is still so relevant.
Absolutely. Just watched this and this was so relevant
It really is!
kofi mentioned so many things i deal with on a daily basis that i haven’t seen anyone else touch on. love this.
same omg, i'm so glad i clicked on this. I did NOT expect him to be so deep, thoughtful and introspective.
I appreciate that he took time to think about his answers. I think in interviews and for all of us in life in general, there can often be such a fear of 'awkward silences' that we try to give the fastest answer without thinking.
He took his time, processed his thoughts, then spoke them out loud.
I noticed this too and took notes on it.
That’s what you call confidence. I didn’t realize I do this until my now boss told me I did this in my interview a lot and still do. A lot of people are reactive, instead of listening to hear and reply with the best answer.
I appreciated this too!

Yes, many people seem threatened by it.
Kofi’s talk about suicide hit. I was in a dark place contemplating it myself. My mom passed 3 years ago and without that rock pulling me of the ledge, it seemed logical. Mind you I have a loving husband and family that love me dearly and that’s what I had to tap into to turn that around. Also was listening to an old Tranformation Church sermon, and Pastor Mike Todd was talking about inclusivity in the church. 1 Cor 12:12-27. I always felt like an outsider. Like I didn’t belong to this or that crowd, but I will Always be accepted into the Kingdom of God. That was powerful to me.
🙏🏾🙏🏾 wish you continued healing!
@@candiicaine Thank you so much
💛
🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Amen, I understand where you were. I lost mine 2 years ago and if I didn't have my daughter... God gave me the light to keep going the same year she passed.
He said if he could do anything he would do nothing but bills gotta be paid lmaoooooooo HE TOOK THE WORDS OUT MY HEART LMAOOOOOOO!! Yass king lol
This man is way deeper than I initially imagined...my fault sir! You better come through with these thorough thoughts! We love to see it King👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
This man has depth and purpose. You can hear it in his voice. and the vulnerability in his points that he shared? Pure gold. I hope you find what you're looking for.
His humbleness and his mindset his demeanor is what makes him even more attractive.
I attended the NAACP stood next to his aunt, not intentionally, as he walked up I said only a black woman and black man can create that. He walked over to the lady, hugged and kiss her. I didn’t know she was his aunt at this time. I said I want a kiss too. He gave me a hug and kissed me on my jaw. ❤️ Such a beautiful man inside and out.
The level of intelligence this young man has is to be commended. I appreciate his honesty and standing in his truth. He has such a strong perspective that he could very well be a motivational speaker. Hell, I'm 60 years old and learned so much from him, how to navigate through life, putting yourself first and to just simply BE!!!
Handsome, wise and spiritual, who wouldn't fall for this guy! I love his energy!😍😍😍😍😍😍
Damn..Kofi has hacked my brain because that is EXACTLY how I feel about being deceived by family and the old heads on not passing down the truth and transparency and egos. When can we dismantle the generational curses??
As an old head I am so proud of these awesome young Black Creatives. Our future is so very bright as they create space for all of us to be free.
Besides his gorgeous appearence, he's so well spoken and articulate!
I love that Issa held professionalism the whole interview and asked amazing questions. And Kofi man thank you for opening up the way you did and chose impact over playing to admiration 🙏🏾
It's the authenticity and intelligence for me... Love him!
He’s a self aware and wise man…I dig it
He’s still not happy because he needs to feed his spirit. It’s our spirit that thirst. We think we can feed our spirits with worldly things, success, money, drugs etc..but it’s God & His word that we need to feel happy & settled. I wish him the best on his journey. 💕💙
The freedom of this conversation is so DARING. Thank you 🙏🏾
So deep. Happiness does not come from success, wealth and fame. Mental health is very important. I love this interview. Not too many ppl would even be comfortable to have this type of conversation. Vulnerability is a true challenge but it’s a sign of strength. ✊🏾
Yo Kofi is so awake! Spiritually lit! Wow! I love this so much!!! What a beautiful wise spirit ❤❤❤❤🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦
Woah....he’s really going in on things people really should stop to consider personally. He’s really talking on a spiritual level the existential thoughts of reality. A true introvert is in this train of mind everyday while people are talking hustle culture. “Happy are those conscious of their spirit needs” Matthew5:3.
I haven't watched the whole thing but he is representing Ghana and that alone means the world to me...
I’m happy to finally see this interview with Kofi and Issa. I’m a poor and definitely didn’t see it in 2018 😂. He was great in Really Love
this was the most truthful conversation i have heard from a celebrity in a while, ESPECIALLY that part of about the lack of generational conversations amongst the older generations and us, young ones. SO much of our problems could be solved if they just open up and be vulnerable about their lessons learnt.
“What I thought I was obtaining was a design”. Wow! I have not resonated more.
🤯 this was AMAZING! I appreciate his transparency and his vulnerability. He said the things that needed to be said!!!
What he said about not being able to feel free without combating his body image issues resonates with me. Currently going through the process. It was kinda cathartic to hear a guy verbalise it. Seems like a cool, down to earth dude.
He is so thoughtful!!! I found his perspective to be refreshing, he’s on a journey. I see that we will definitely work together someday. Issa is officially Queen of Getting Niggas Tipsy wit they Guard Down 🙌🏾✨ love it!
Seeing this interview really made me respect Kofi even more. His wisdom is top notch and I love his mentality on not subjecting himself to things that don't serve him. That's a major key.
Not many people will admit that when he says money and success doesn't make him happy,. He say yes he has stuff but he's nothing...very very humble brother!!
He touched on a lot of things that were deep without even going deep. Good Interview
Awww he's so real and genuine. I appreciate you so much my pisces twin flame for sharing your story and journey Kofi, keep going young King ♥🥺🙏🏽 Thaaankkk Youuu Issa for choosing him to speak on this beautiful platform, you're amazing sis 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽‼
Man, I should have been sipping tequilla with this outstanding conversation.
He is such a Pisces. Great interview!
LMFAOAOA HIS FACE WHEN ISSA SAID “Well we have the before pictures” 😭
I love his energy sooo brilliant. Thank you Issa Rae for this conversation with Kofi S.
“You design it, live it, and enjoy it” -Kofi PERIOD
I love listening to Pisces! I love his mind! I appreciate how he takes his time to think through everything instead of rushing to fill the spaces with words for the sake of talking. I appreciate his feminine energy so much ❤
As for the part where Issa disrespected the 'old heads', not cool. Our parents don't know what they don't know. They did the best they could with what was passed down to them and they didn't have the internal capacity to think/do better. We have different tools and capacity and it's our responsibility to change the narrative going forward. Future generations will see where we missed the mark and we will need the same grace too.
What an enlightened beautiful black man 😭😭
This freaking interview is everything 💯
issa is a really good interviewer; I appreciate how she was able to re-group and keep the conversation going; Kofi is also a really thoughtful person! this was a good interview overall
Umm in love with this man if I don’t meet him I hope I meet someone wonderful as him and every women deserves a great man like him 😭😭😭❤️🙏🏾
Omg the best interview ever
He’s telling so much truth here. He’s real cool. Love these conversations 💜
I would say to Kofi keep pushing
The “No’s” are okay although sometimes we just can’t deal wit a no. I get it.
The acting is gonna be the tool that gets you to where you want to be or need to be.
Love that you want more money to help more people.
You’re doing fine.
You are so on the right track.
You got this with the mess ups and all. That’s how you get to greatness.
This honestly blessed me-I’m going through something similar to him and what you’re saying is so wise and simple. Sometimes we gotta just keep moving through what we’re moving through with the vehicles we have and trust that shift and know it all ok 💗 thank you ⚡️
Good interview, love the questions, like how kofi was honest about insecure, it takes courage to tell ppl your problems and facing them head on especially being a man.
Before Issa got married. I always said her and Kofi would’ve made such a dynamic empire. I hope they do more projects together.
Idk she seem to goofy for him and he’s to profound for her imo
@Ricky Bobby Da Star He had a big crush on her but she seems to have zero interest in her.
@@kisha4040 interesting & he might got too many ladies for her who knows
@@kisha4040 interesting , he might have to many ladies for her , it’s funny I had a supervisor who said I look like this dude 2 yrs ago when I kept the cutt low . Let’s just say I never gotten written up lol 😂
@@rickybobbydastar6534 😂
He's beautiful and the vulnerability, wisdom, and humbleness he displays, contributes to his beauty. 😫💖🫂
Design it, live it and enjoy it….Amazing interview!
When I tell you everything he said I relate to! I shouldn’t even be surprised because he is a Pisces.
My Pisces brother ♓🍥🐠🐟
I had to Google lol I was like ooohhhh this is why he’s so smart lol, I’m an Aquarius and vibe with Pisces heavy
Probably one of the best interviews 🔥
This man was preaching in this video!! I’ve been trying to understand “Ego Death”, and he explained it perfectly 🤯🤯🤯🤯
no but fr.. who checks on the strong person? we need help too..Mental health problems are a big problem, that nobody rarely speaks about. Thank you Kofi ⭐
I don’t want to do any more asking & thats that! Period Kofi!!!!
I love this because he had such a crush on Issa 😂
he's so well-spoken. he was talking that shit.
I love your Transparency Kofi!!
This brotha is so beautiful 😍😍😍😍
Why tf I'm I surprised by his depth and intellect?
I love Kofi but you should be because he came and spoke at my college Dillard University and he was not this opened and in depth with his responses tbh. But he could have been going through the things that he talked about here and couldn’t cancel or didn’t want to.
Sis..blow TF away?!? I am so grateful for his vulnerability and thoughtfulness...he could have gave some generic answers but he replied so sincerely and we love to see it🙏🏾❤
Because of his role on Queen Sugar ppl only see him one way.
stop thinking handsome ppl dont have depth i assumed he was educated
Because he’s fine, so we’re conditioned to believe it ends there lol.
Be it! Project what u want to be! We all need one another so asking is required.
I feel like he was feeling issa, and I realize too issa should have been in girls trip.. very good answers, really nice questions.. go sis
I want to create my yes. I love that.
Never realized Kofi was that young. 24??? Thought he was in his 30s. He’s so wise.
Look at Issa looking gorgeous!
Yayyy hit the play button immediately love the interview actually love all the interviews full of laughs and information
That rebuilding is strong advice; soild!
Wow he really dropped so many gems in this interview
Love the response I am me! Equality is free! Spread love, live life not by other design, but by your own idea of what life is , in love 🥰
Gems!!! The audience clearly wasn’t listening.
Man he was spitting’ big FACTS!!! Love this!!! 👏🏽
He's definitely a pisces. I can definitely resignate with his conversation in this interview
