- A Motorcycle Adventure Dirtbike TV classic - our first fair dinkum go at making a motorcycle adventure movie, featuring the then latest bike on the market, the mighty Yamaha Tenere. This movie is now 10 years old and stills warms the heart of adventure motorcyclists.
All these years later I bet Phillipe looks back and smiles even more about what happened. Great video.

I loved this for an Aussie thousands of miles away stuck on a small island and suffering from depression you guys lifted me up like never before! well done!

You are an absolute genius at making these films. I read your comment somewhere that you produced them in your spare time. That is hard to believe. They are awesome. The best riding was recovering the Tenere. Pillion riding through the river! Amazing river crossings. Pity about Phillipe but you still make the most of it!. I live in Shepparton. I cant believe I have never taken the opportunity to ride the high country. Now it is all I think about. Fantastic. And the music!!!! I listen to your videos as much as watching them. Your commentary is so detailed it can almost paint the picture by itself. The video footage though is stunning. Enough said. Thank you.

If you look carefully when we go to pick the bike up from Davies Hut and Sean is riding it back it's filmed very carefully so as not to reveal the damaged. The right hand side of the bike was truly stuffed.

Just fricking awesome! Superb footage.
Rule No 1 when riding in the high country...soft panniers only....rule No 2 it's a hard ride in = a hard ride out with a broken fibula...I dropped the 660 tenere going up Mt Pinabar, and had to ride the bike two days with a broken fibula....bloody nice ADV riding even in winter when some of the roads are still open.
That part of Oz is a great place for finding bike trails. In fact anywhere along the Great Divide is fun.

We had a similar thing happen in Quebec. A flat tire cause the rider to bail and break ribs too. Since Patrick Trahan was a Dakar racer and on a 250 he would be the quickest to get the 40km out to town.
Very scary. Chest injuries can turn bad really quick.

I would have to agree I've done a lot of the high country on an xr400 back in the day but only day trips from base camps. After watching your videos I'm really interested in getting back into it now with an adventure bike!

Fantastic, especially when consideration is given to how long ago it was originally filmed. Having watched some of your later productions you have come a long way with the film making, but obvious that you started with a lot of talent and enthusiasm. I have also traveled some of that area, but I was driving an Aussie Army truck (long story), I clearly remember Parish Boundary Lane. Really want to do it on a bike. Thank you for your continued efforts.
