It looks like the order of operation is SUPPOSED to be, 2 to prime, 1 to spread, 4 to kill. Main problems being, the 1 doesn't spread consistently, but if they fix that, i think the flow would be a lot better. Then it would be up to you on how to survive. Brief respite plus the invulnerability during the 4 cast is working for now, but i need to do more on steel path to test.
@@Brozime So I did some additional testing, got some interesting results, and i think the 1 is better than we are giving it credit for. I assumed that you had to hit a Doomed target with your 1, then the next target that the scythe hit would also be Doomed. Turns out, the 1 spreads the doom TWICE: once if you hit a doomed target while is spinning (then doomed just spreads to nearby enemies immediately), and then if the scythes hit a doomed enemy when they shoot out, they will cause the Doomed to spread to nearby targets AGAIN. This let me pretty reliably get a whole room doomed: 2 to doom, 1 to spread, 4 to kill, usually i'd miss a doomed target because it was outside the line of my 4, i spread with 1 again, then 4 to kill, etc. (I had my energy color set to pretty bright, which is how i noticed the Doomed status flying out to other people on its own.) With this rotation, i was having to recast my 2 less than half the time, usually going between 1 and 4. Worth checking out, it was doing work in steel path survival, so there may be something to it
@@raimeblackwater3180 same, i was able to almost completely cut range because of the 1 spread being so good. Esp in places like kuva survival, i usually just have to cast the 2 once and 1+4 at the same time, the animations line up so the scythes fly with the horses, spreading and stripping at the same time
@@Brozime I was also able to cut down on strength, even with just umb intens, the 1 making your 4s damage proc twice has been able to kill almost anything in steel path up to like 30 mins ( as far as ive cared to go) at most i might have to cast a 2nd 4, but its super rare things live 1 and 4 hitting them at the same time with doom
From what I've found casting her 1 before casting her 2; cast 1, cast 2 immediately and by the time the blades go out you'll have doomed them already, thus spreading it. It feels like that's how it was designed.
Honestly, Doom should've probably been an aura that grew like Gloom. They could make it unique by making it grow up to double the radius in 10 seconds and terrify enemies when the aura reaches max range after 10 seconds, and then it shrinks back to the starting size and starts growing again. This would help her survivability while also making it more convenient to use.
Yeah, I kind of wish there was a better explanation as to how her first ability actually works. It is supposed to spread doom, but does it spread on hit? I have seen it spread doom to enemies that it hasnt even hit yet. I'm also not quite sure how it does damage. I have seen it hit all 20 heavy gunners in simulacrum, even though no scythes actually hit some of the gunners. Her first ability is just strange. As a side note, I'm not sure why people are so hateful for literally no reason in these comments. Its just a build, man. Clearly it works well enough for most people. Looking forward to hydroid build!
Strike Doomed foes with Wyrd Scythes to trigger Phantom Wrath, while refreshing Doom on the targets hit and spreading the curse to other enemies within a 10 / 12 / 13 / 15 meter radius around the Doomed foes.
You don't need to cast Doom all the time, Wyrd Scythe can spread the effect of Doom. Although both abilities need a range buff imo. So cast Doom then Wyrd Scythe, followed by Rakhali's Cavalry. With enough strength (I have 239% + Molt Augmented) even in Steel Path everything dies instantly.
My biggest gripe with her rn is the slow on her 1. if you play cascade or conjunction you have to be very careful about your ability use engaging thrax, which is not always so easy on sp endurance runs. But this is honestly more of a general problem of DE not fixing the thrax ghosts affected by slow.
wow. just got her and about to round out legendary 3 with her so I'm looking at what all the creators did with her. ALL OF YOU GUYS DID SOMETHING TOTALLY DIFFERENT FROM EACH OTHER. Okay two things I’d like to note: 1.) I’ve been watching your channel for years now and i just noticed i never subscribed so shame me later and 2.) Terrify on her works so well. I’ve been using it in steel path with energize and blessing and my god it’s amazing. The CC is amazing and the armor strip is way more consistent.
the range on her doom doesn't even matter because her 1 spreads the doom to enemies in a huge area. Her energy economy is fine without Nourish (I use equilibrium in my build). Can survive just fine with breif in steel path kuva survival (only been up to 30 minutes though).
I think why noutish is used so much is mostly because nourish patches arcane energize which majority of players dont have. Alot of new frames love to spam abilities, which is very fun playstyle but without built in energy econ (ie:voruna) its very diffcult to keep up. But you slap nourish on, and suddenly no more energy issues! I think the viral damage is just a cherry on top for most people. They need to make arcane energize more accessible. Still difficult but not as ridiculous as it is now
yeah they really want you to hit guys with 1 to spread it rather then just be good on its own, i dont mind that, i think its a cool synergy but it does make headless horse girl over here quite energy hungry
3 abilities to do something Warframes with better survivability do in 2 or less means you might as well just not use her if that's the way you're going tbh.
@@Brozime Comparative to other frames she’s not too great but it’s nice to have a frame with full kit synergy once in a while. That and the niche enjoyment of ability combos. It’s also nice that she has a health gate, 25s CD is painful but it’s there.
I think the problem here is that this kit confuses 'synergy' for 'two of my abilities are completely useless without the third, and I will rarely have the native tankiness to actually use all three'. Moving some of these effects around on the 1, 2, and 4 would make the kit actually synergize rather than being two dead abilities without Doom.
i think wyrd scythes could spread doom a lot better but tbh I love dagaths playsytle so much I don't really care if they buff doom. it's so satisfying to cast wyrd and doom and cavalry to just wombo combo/trample fools. insane damage output.
it is far from perfect. since I dont have any casting speed yet I find that if you cast 1 then 2 immediately after it helps. the scythes are delayed so it will quickly doom a bunch of dudes. the grave is middling imo. I honestly don't use it because it's not consistent survival. I can't even use it to shield gate so I'm looking at other options through helmenth.
That was the one thing that immediately caught my attention when they showed her abilities. The radial attack one is supposed to symergize with a short, short cone two? That didn't make any sense to me. Both of those need much more range
the cone feels too tight sometimes where it should of hit an enemy that touched the ring, but didnt. Brozime talks about this too, imo she feels unfinished at the moment
imo the worst thing in her kit is that her 3rd ability doesn't really have anything going on until you die. it looks cool and gives the CD but she can't generate orbs on her own until she goes down. like what if kills made via crit damage while 3 was active they would drop an orb at a small percentage rate, and then when she gets knocked down it keeps the current orb drops but when a Doomed enemy is killed while in that state it gives her an armor bonus moddable by duration and stacks 3-5 times.
Your point on Doom should be the Armor Strip is dead on. Your absolutely right, it the only logical way to make sense of her kit. Hopefully DE will make some changes. Synergy folks, kinda important when talking about the viability of a frame.
Not on topic, but what do you think about voruna after her 4 got changed to count as a melee? I haven't seen many people talk about that change even though, at least to me, it's a pretty massive game changer for her.
Three abilities for a defence strip and some extra damage is a lot when you can just Helminth a defence strip on, still have the damage and then concentrate on how to stay alive in the cooldown of your 3 As for the shield gate, it makes sense that overshields shouldn't count. You're always at the max 2.5 seconds with overshields and it's reasonable that DE would want you to actually mod for more shields if you want longer gating
What I think would work better for DAGATH is Nautilus with his (Cordon) and as for the Archon Shards I would recommend. 1 Amber Archon Shard for Casting Speed just the one to make DAGATH feel smother to use.
A few things: Her 1, honestly ok with it. Wish the slow effect had greater default duration but, meh. Her 2, yeah, that range or angle restrict needs a buff. Kullervos Curse ability range is pretty busted tbh and he has Overgaurd mechanics so I see no justification her 2 range shouldnt be better. Her 3; I understand how it supposed to work but it feels like a band-aid ability I'm supposed to use for survivability sake with her having that Spectral Revenge form. Any tips to either make it more useful or subsume over it? Other than Pillage or Gloom? Trying Condemn imo but still testing. Her 4...where do i begin? I like the idea and the concept, i like the mechanics, but why TF does it take ~230 ~240 Strength to FullStrip with it? Come on DE. You give Nekros AoE FullStrip at ~165 Strength with Terrify, make Hydroid busted, but why set Dagaths bar so high for an ability that only gos in a straight line in front of the player and takes several seconds to cast?
@@limbo_darkness tested already. Only seems to hit twice at beginning of cast most of the time. So it leaves player vulnerable during cast animation. I hear you but I still don't see a reason for it to be that high in strength. Too unreliable to rely on in a pinch.
Did Wyrd Scythes not spread Doom when this video was released? Otherwise, subbing it off is an utterly baffling decision that is shooting this build in both feet AND knees AND then taking it out back to put it down
Brozime Idk if you’ll see this but I found that Aerial Bond, Tenacious Bond and Bite on Adarza Kavat with its Cats Eye makes Zephyr a red crit MONSTER with basically ZERO downtime on the pet (one hallway clear with a plasmor or bramma is basically an instant revive). Best pet for her bar none imo and it’s a rly cool interaction! Love the companion update!!
I don't like way too many things on the 1st build. 1. I think equilibrium is a must on her considering her pasive. 2. I think you can forgo the flow and throw in some blue shards (which you complain you have way too many and lack the uses) 3. I think you can slap in instead of the fiber a blind rage and equilibrium instead of the flow. You can then run guardian over augmented AND use 2 amber shards for casting and you still surpass the strength you aimed for and have better e.hp as well as nice casting speed.
I had been using a shield gate build with the new corrupted mod on steel path for about 20 min, no helminth. I find her 1 spreads doom well enough, maybe the spread is finicky yet. After the testing, I find she is definitely dishing out damage, but I'm not a fan of her gameplay because it feels like all you can do is cast 1 2 and 4 all game. Maybe that's just the nature of a brief respite setup, but it's just very spammy for my taste. I might try a health tank setup instead with health conversion. Rehardless, she can surely deal the damage.
I do think Dagath needs some work, a good augment or two maybe, but her doom is a lot more fun than people say it is. And the range isn't that bad in most missions. She's best suited for hallways, so not really open tiles or open world but great for tilesets with cramped hallways. Also I've found rolling guard works great on her to alternate with casts of her horses
this entire warframe just feels like DE made some assets and wanted to use them. it would had been really cool if Dagath was designed with horsemanship in mind. Horses have been part of human civilization for the longest time. One of the most popular cartoons right now is about ponies. Dagath could had easily had abilities that were a kin to things you do with horses.
I don’t think she needs as much survivability as this focuses on. I’ve personally been running a Brief Respite and Catalyzing Shields strength focused build in all content and have zero issues surviving. I know people don’t really like shield gating as a mechanic, and it’s a very active, very ability spammy build (which I personally enjoy). But it gets me through pretty much everything I’ve thrown at it.
She likes orbs but has no way to force spawn them (unless you die intentionally with 3). She has nice health but very low armor, but also low shields so they want you to use catalyze shields? Wyrd homing and how slow it comes out feels off, and Doom's range really shouldn't have two range restrictions even if you can spread it easily with her 1.
having her 3rd active should ALWAYS make enemies have a chance to drop orbs like 10-20% chance, b/c having to die to get more orbs is a pretty terrible mechanic. its pretty weird how DE nerfed decaying keys, but then made a frame who relies on said mechanic. her kit just doesn't really mesh all together.
I did an hour Steel path survival and had no problem surviving while health tanking with just adaptation and no armor mods with molt reconstruct and have no problem with dooms range cause her 1 spreads it
What the... I always bring Nourish cause, in my anecdotal experience, it's much less common than others like Roar and Breach Surge. I always assumed it's cause Grendel is a pain to get, but... I suppose he's also not a frame that a lot of people feel they need to hold onto once they get him. Statistically speaking, this somewhat odd frame isn't bound to be in most players' top 10 out of 50, but Nourish is quite likely to aid multiple of those. Anyone notice how Mirage etc. can just stack it on top btw.? Feels pretty amazing to have a big consistent dmg buff with her alongside those clones for coverage and debuff/CO status stacking, and sometimes hit those bonkers overkill numbers. Makes her energy economy on that kinda build even less of a factor, keeping all that energy for gating. I usually stack some range and put on the Eclipse aug to help my team with both abilities, I don't even bother switching when solo 99% of the time, not that I use it a lot. Nourish itself is also a pretty nice gating ability when the cost fits btw., not as good as something that's beneficial to spam, but it makes keeping it up just kinda happen. Can we finally make Roar recastable at base btw.? Also all the other ones everywhere of all time besides Covenant? Honestly, with Revenant being a thing, that wouldn't even be too outrageous.
Havent built her yet, but from what you're saying, would having the horses carrying her 1 be good? Or maybe have Doom be a 5 second cone where she can look around and Doom everything around her before releasing the cavalry.
Guardian used to proc sort of randomly.....that and the other shield boosting mod were crazy if you put both on hildryn or any shield rank.....or Harrow
I always find it interesting how "preferred" playstyle translates to "must," "only," "good," & "bad" when describing frame abilities. Often times there is uniformity across the board but way too often there is huge differences between what I will call top creators. I enjoy the differences in opinions & moreso the reasoning behind the differences but it's always funny when "effort" gets reduced to "this sucks" or "XYZ is useless." Anyways, the point is just because an ability doesn't 1 shot a room or just because a frame can't take a javelin missile to the face, that doesn't make them or an ability bad. An extra button press doesn't make something terrible either. Sometimes an extra button press or two is required to not make the playstyle feel boring. Just my opinion, of course.
Because Warframe has morphed into a different beast. It's no longer a grimdark stealth corridor looter shooter from 2015. Now it's more like an ARPG. The likes of Path of Exile or Diablo. Ever seen what builds look like in those games? Massive screen clearing with optimised Kill per minute with the least effort required. The goal is efficiency.

Most players will usually win for efficiency because it shortens the grind, which means more rewards. I think the biggest issue is how armor and enemy scaling works to where stuff has to be OP and strip armor or else you'll be contributing nothing. Honestly the whole game could use a damage/enemy balance, but that would turn away Warframe's current audience since that would require DE to nerf our overall power for the sake of balance.

I agree..i like the character, but why DOOMs range and unmoddable angle is perplexing..its basically a shotgun .i get using scythes to spread...but dang...i running max str, min efficiency, throwing horses and sythes all over killing SP easily, her passive keeps energy up with shards and zen

Some things definitely should be changed about this. There is a high amount of health tanking and armor building for the 4th ability spam build which doesn't make any sense as shield gating is by far the superior method when using that setup. With the Catalyzing mod her shields become 50 which is VERY low and means with just 2 augurs (Reach on build and one on a secondary) you get an immediate 1.3-second shield gate. Watching the gameplay for that build and all you do is spam her 4th anyways so there's no reason not to do this. The Pillage build makes less sense. Sure overshields are not supposed to count towards shield gate duration but they do right now and even if they didn't... running Redirection will increase Dagath's base shields to 500 which gives a longer shield gate than 1.33 seconds. Why are you using the Catalyzing Mod? Just pointing out some things that I'd say are pretty important to have correct.
In each instance you run out of energy(which you still do occasionally) on the shield gating 4 build you will pretty much always die. That doesn't happen with the health tank version. Also Catalyze sets your gate to 1.33 so you don't use the unintended over shield increase which without it I can't test for until they change that. Also shield gating is not superior unless you're doing content with 4 level digits and almost no one is going to encounter that with her anyway.
So if energy is an issue then why not just run streamline on the Nourish build? Can still shield gate with 2 augurs and you have the space if dropping all the additional health and armor. Catalyze setting your shields to 1.33 so you don't utilize over-shield increase makes sense but Redirection is the optimal choice regardless. Sure you'd have a higher duration but I don't see a problem with just saying "its gonna be a few seconds longer than it will be post-December patch most likely, yet Redirection still will give a higher time than Catalyzing's 1.3 both now and in the future" In terms of shield gating not being superior... Ok yes, Health tanking is without a doubt easier (I don't know about superior purely in terms of mod space especially on a frame with 50 shields) but based entirely off the playstyle talked about and shown, you'd be able to solve Doom's low range which you say is an issue and get more strength for Nourish which could help the energy issues you mention at the beginning of your reply if you just shield gated. Similar to other builds, your not spamming an ability just for shields, but it is an active part of your damage rotation. In addition, her 4 gives invincibility on cast and she cannot die with her 3rd active. In no way do I intend for this to come off as rude, just outlining my thoughts on the builds! @@Brozime
He mentioned that he built his efficiency on the shield gate setup in such a way that he could refill his shields to full with doom. Considering how much you might need to spam that ability it just makes sense. Getting instant full shields back with an ability you are already spamming requires less reaction time than needing to tap pillage twice. It isn't like the 500 shields from redirection are that much better than the 1.33 from catalyzing either it's like just over 1.5 seconds. Not to mention if you are needing to rely on pillage to survive while only having 500 shields, you risk casting the ability so frequently that you may use it when there are no armored enemies around which would give you 0 shields back.

Should have just called the video “33 minutes of why Doom is bad” zime. Lol They could have just made Doom a buff that applied the Debuff once she’s looked an enemy in the eyes (like an actual Dullahan). The base duration could be really short to compensate for the “skill” reduction so you’d still need to recast it regularly. Definitely would be less of a pain to use.
It feels like her 4 isn’t supposed to be a spammable main form of damage for her thematically. So it just looks like a playstyle that is probably outperformed by a tanky Warframe like Revenant with Roar and a good AoE weapon. Was kinda hoping the Headless Horsewoman Warframe would be a lot more “badash Calvary unit” and less “horse girl summoner”. Like come on. Put some respect on the Dullahan mythology DE.
I hate her one, it feels so unoriginal. Would loved to see her summon a spectral scyth that followed close like a sentinel and slashed at enemies when you get in range

How u going to say every effective needs range. I get u had test servers and today to test stuff but that is a strong and wild statement when u have dozens of modes and many ways to play. In addition u got the helminth and shard system. That statement is crazy to say for any frame. Now do most useful builds need it...sure but u cant say u know it all with limited testing like everyone else.

@@MysteriousGir A health tank build can easily utilize more than every health armor and healing arcane to be both a functional tank and well preforming weapon. His build just seems to lean all the way into tanking, I don’t think it’s worth it.
@@Hereltic The health tanking build is not that over invested into tanking. Umbral Vitality and Intensify are must haves and he’s only using fiber to buff the other umbral mods. He has enough strength and range, what else could he be putting in those slots?
My thoughts on this Warframe was I threw Stynax's tharos strike over her 4 instead of pillage. You already want range to be able to get more spread, more doom applications, and it heals you quite a bit. It requires less power strength than pillage to strip only needing 200% without corrosive projection. It is a bit short ranged, but since you're rocking a bunch of range on her anyways it scales up to about 20m which is pretty good for your 1 to hit things. she becomes more or less a melee warframe at that point. Anyways, it seems ok but I dunno there's no survivability built into their kit why does their 3 have a cooldown? thanx I hate it.

The only problem I have with her kit, is the slow on Wyrd Scythe should have been on Doom. All together a great look at The Faceless Horseframe 🤘
My biggest gripe with her rn is the slow on her 1. if you play cascade or conjunction you have to be very careful about your ability use engaging thrax, which is not always so easy on sp endurance runs. But this is honestly more of a general problem of DE not fixing the thrax ghosts affected by slow.

Okay two things I’d like to note: 1.) I’ve been watching your channel for years now and i just noticed i never subscribed so shame me later and 2.) Terrify on her works so well. I’ve been using it in steel path with energize and blessing and my god it’s amazing. The CC is amazing and the armor strip is way more consistent.
the range on her doom doesn't even matter because her 1 spreads the doom to enemies in a huge area. Her energy economy is fine without Nourish (I use equilibrium in my build). Can survive just fine with breif in steel path kuva survival (only been up to 30 minutes though).
I'm so happy Dethcube's hidden potential has finally been let to shine. I always believed in him.
I think why noutish is used so much is mostly because nourish patches arcane energize which majority of players dont have.
Alot of new frames love to spam abilities, which is very fun playstyle but without built in energy econ (ie:voruna) its very diffcult to keep up. But you slap nourish on, and suddenly no more energy issues!
I think the viral damage is just a cherry on top for most people. They need to make arcane energize more accessible. Still difficult but not as ridiculous as it is now

@@Brozime Comparative to other frames she’s not too great but it’s nice to have a frame with full kit synergy once in a while. That and the niche enjoyment of ability combos. It’s also nice that she has a health gate, 25s CD is painful but it’s there.
I think the problem here is that this kit confuses 'synergy' for 'two of my abilities are completely useless without the third, and I will rarely have the native tankiness to actually use all three'. Moving some of these effects around on the 1, 2, and 4 would make the kit actually synergize rather than being two dead abilities without Doom.

i think wyrd scythes could spread doom a lot better but tbh I love dagaths playsytle so much I don't really care if they buff doom. it's so satisfying to cast wyrd and doom and cavalry to just wombo combo/trample fools. insane damage output.
it is far from perfect. since I dont have any casting speed yet I find that if you cast 1 then 2 immediately after it helps. the scythes are delayed so it will quickly doom a bunch of dudes. the grave is middling imo. I honestly don't use it because it's not consistent survival. I can't even use it to shield gate so I'm looking at other options through helmenth.
That was the one thing that immediately caught my attention when they showed her abilities. The radial attack one is supposed to symergize with a short, short cone two? That didn't make any sense to me. Both of those need much more range
It’s like how Lavos various abilities of wildly different attack areas and ranges are all supposed to support his big AOE 4.
the cone feels too tight sometimes where it should of hit an enemy that touched the ring, but didnt.

Bought the Dagath stance and no regrets whatsoever, one of the best looking stances in the game currently.

imo the worst thing in her kit is that her 3rd ability doesn't really have anything going on until you die.
it looks cool and gives the CD but she can't generate orbs on her own until she goes down.
like what if kills made via crit damage while 3 was active they would drop an orb at a small percentage rate, and then when she gets knocked down it keeps the current orb drops but when a Doomed enemy is killed while in that state it gives her an armor bonus moddable by duration and stacks 3-5 times.
It looks like not only does doom take damage before but if slash is procing it has a weird effect if bypassing armor when the damage reprocs
Your point on Doom should be the Armor Strip is dead on. Your absolutely right, it the only logical way to make sense of her kit. Hopefully DE will make some changes. Synergy folks, kinda important when talking about the viability of a frame.
Not on topic, but what do you think about voruna after her 4 got changed to count as a melee? I haven't seen many people talk about that change even though, at least to me, it's a pretty massive game changer for her.
He was messing around with her on stream yesterday and apparently her damage was bugged at that point (it could have been hotfixed by now though)

Three abilities for a defence strip and some extra damage is a lot when you can just Helminth a defence strip on, still have the damage and then concentrate on how to stay alive in the cooldown of your 3
As for the shield gate, it makes sense that overshields shouldn't count. You're always at the max 2.5 seconds with overshields and it's reasonable that DE would want you to actually mod for more shields if you want longer gating
What I think would work better for DAGATH is Nautilus with his (Cordon) and as for the Archon Shards I would recommend. 1 Amber Archon Shard for Casting Speed just the one to make DAGATH feel smother to use.
A few things:
Her 1, honestly ok with it. Wish the slow effect had greater default duration but, meh.
Her 2, yeah, that range or angle restrict needs a buff. Kullervos Curse ability range is pretty busted tbh and he has Overgaurd mechanics so I see no justification her 2 range shouldnt be better.
Her 3; I understand how it supposed to work but it feels like a band-aid ability I'm supposed to use for survivability sake with her having that Spectral Revenge form. Any tips to either make it more useful or subsume over it? Other than Pillage or Gloom? Trying Condemn imo but still testing.
Her 4...where do i begin? I like the idea and the concept, i like the mechanics, but why TF does it take ~230 ~240 Strength to FullStrip with it? Come on DE. You give Nekros AoE FullStrip at ~165 Strength with Terrify, make Hydroid busted, but why set Dagaths bar so high for an ability that only gos in a straight line in front of the player and takes several seconds to cast?
Dagath's 4 only needs 44% strength to full strip, it hits twice, so it's even easier to build than Terrify.
@@limbo_darkness tested already. Only seems to hit twice at beginning of cast most of the time. So it leaves player vulnerable during cast animation. I hear you but I still don't see a reason for it to be that high in strength. Too unreliable to rely on in a pinch.

Brozime Idk if you’ll see this but I found that Aerial Bond, Tenacious Bond and Bite on Adarza Kavat with its Cats Eye makes Zephyr a red crit MONSTER with basically ZERO downtime on the pet (one hallway clear with a plasmor or bramma is basically an instant revive). Best pet for her bar none imo and it’s a rly cool interaction! Love the companion update!!
I don't like way too many things on the 1st build.
1. I think equilibrium is a must on her considering her pasive.
2. I think you can forgo the flow and throw in some blue shards (which you complain you have way too many and lack the uses)
3. I think you can slap in instead of the fiber a blind rage and equilibrium instead of the flow. You can then run guardian over augmented AND use 2 amber shards for casting and you still surpass the strength you aimed for and have better e.hp as well as nice casting speed.
I had been using a shield gate build with the new corrupted mod on steel path for about 20 min, no helminth. I find her 1 spreads doom well enough, maybe the spread is finicky yet.
After the testing, I find she is definitely dishing out damage, but I'm not a fan of her gameplay because it feels like all you can do is cast 1 2 and 4 all game. Maybe that's just the nature of a brief respite setup, but it's just very spammy for my taste. I might try a health tank setup instead with health conversion. Rehardless, she can surely deal the damage.
I do think Dagath needs some work, a good augment or two maybe, but her doom is a lot more fun than people say it is. And the range isn't that bad in most missions. She's best suited for hallways, so not really open tiles or open world but great for tilesets with cramped hallways. Also I've found rolling guard works great on her to alternate with casts of her horses
this entire warframe just feels like DE made some assets and wanted to use them. it would had been really cool if Dagath was designed with horsemanship in mind. Horses have been part of human civilization for the longest time. One of the most popular cartoons right now is about ponies. Dagath could had easily had abilities that were a kin to things you do with horses.
I don’t think she needs as much survivability as this focuses on. I’ve personally been running a Brief Respite and Catalyzing Shields strength focused build in all content and have zero issues surviving. I know people don’t really like shield gating as a mechanic, and it’s a very active, very ability spammy build (which I personally enjoy). But it gets me through pretty much everything I’ve thrown at it.
She likes orbs but has no way to force spawn them (unless you die intentionally with 3).
She has nice health but very low armor, but also low shields so they want you to use catalyze shields?
Wyrd homing and how slow it comes out feels off, and Doom's range really shouldn't have two range restrictions even if you can spread it easily with her 1.
having her 3rd active should ALWAYS make enemies have a chance to drop orbs like 10-20% chance, b/c having to die to get more orbs is a pretty terrible mechanic.
its pretty weird how DE nerfed decaying keys, but then made a frame who relies on said mechanic.
her kit just doesn't really mesh all together.

Have you tested a build with Equilibrium? That coupled with her passive does wonders for energy economy/survivability

I did an hour Steel path survival and had no problem surviving while health tanking with just adaptation and no armor mods with molt reconstruct and have no problem with dooms range cause her 1 spreads it
And run equilibrium to keep up energy never run out
What the... I always bring Nourish cause, in my anecdotal experience, it's much less common than others like Roar and Breach Surge. I always assumed it's cause Grendel is a pain to get, but... I suppose he's also not a frame that a lot of people feel they need to hold onto once they get him. Statistically speaking, this somewhat odd frame isn't bound to be in most players' top 10 out of 50, but Nourish is quite likely to aid multiple of those.
Anyone notice how Mirage etc. can just stack it on top btw.? Feels pretty amazing to have a big consistent dmg buff with her alongside those clones for coverage and debuff/CO status stacking, and sometimes hit those bonkers overkill numbers. Makes her energy economy on that kinda build even less of a factor, keeping all that energy for gating. I usually stack some range and put on the Eclipse aug to help my team with both abilities, I don't even bother switching when solo 99% of the time, not that I use it a lot.
Nourish itself is also a pretty nice gating ability when the cost fits btw., not as good as something that's beneficial to spam, but it makes keeping it up just kinda happen. Can we finally make Roar recastable at base btw.? Also all the other ones everywhere of all time besides Covenant? Honestly, with Revenant being a thing, that wouldn't even be too outrageous.

Guardian used to proc sort of randomly.....that and the other shield boosting mod were crazy if you put both on hildryn or any shield rank.....or Harrow

I always find it interesting how "preferred" playstyle translates to "must," "only," "good," & "bad" when describing frame abilities. Often times there is uniformity across the board but way too often there is huge differences between what I will call top creators.
I enjoy the differences in opinions & moreso the reasoning behind the differences but it's always funny when "effort" gets reduced to "this sucks" or "XYZ is useless." Anyways, the point is just because an ability doesn't 1 shot a room or just because a frame can't take a javelin missile to the face, that doesn't make them or an ability bad. An extra button press doesn't make something terrible either. Sometimes an extra button press or two is required to not make the playstyle feel boring. Just my opinion, of course.
Because Warframe has morphed into a different beast. It's no longer a grimdark stealth corridor looter shooter from 2015.
Now it's more like an ARPG. The likes of Path of Exile or Diablo. Ever seen what builds look like in those games? Massive screen clearing with optimised Kill per minute with the least effort required. The goal is efficiency.

Most players will usually win for efficiency because it shortens the grind, which means more rewards.
I think the biggest issue is how armor and enemy scaling works to where stuff has to be OP and strip armor or else you'll be contributing nothing. Honestly the whole game could use a damage/enemy balance, but that would turn away Warframe's current audience since that would require DE to nerf our overall power for the sake of balance.

I agree..i like the character, but why DOOMs range and unmoddable angle is perplexing..its basically a shotgun .i get using scythes to spread...but dang...i running max str, min efficiency, throwing horses and sythes all over killing SP easily, her passive keeps energy up with shards and zen

Some things definitely should be changed about this.
There is a high amount of health tanking and armor building for the 4th ability spam build which doesn't make any sense as shield gating is by far the superior method when using that setup.
With the Catalyzing mod her shields become 50 which is VERY low and means with just 2 augurs (Reach on build and one on a secondary) you get an immediate 1.3-second shield gate. Watching the gameplay for that build and all you do is spam her 4th anyways so there's no reason not to do this.
The Pillage build makes less sense. Sure overshields are not supposed to count towards shield gate duration but they do right now and even if they didn't... running Redirection will increase Dagath's base shields to 500 which gives a longer shield gate than 1.33 seconds. Why are you using the Catalyzing Mod?
Just pointing out some things that I'd say are pretty important to have correct.
In each instance you run out of energy(which you still do occasionally) on the shield gating 4 build you will pretty much always die. That doesn't happen with the health tank version. Also Catalyze sets your gate to 1.33 so you don't use the unintended over shield increase which without it I can't test for until they change that. Also shield gating is not superior unless you're doing content with 4 level digits and almost no one is going to encounter that with her anyway.
So if energy is an issue then why not just run streamline on the Nourish build? Can still shield gate with 2 augurs and you have the space if dropping all the additional health and armor. Catalyze setting your shields to 1.33 so you don't utilize over-shield increase makes sense but Redirection is the optimal choice regardless. Sure you'd have a higher duration but I don't see a problem with just saying "its gonna be a few seconds longer than it will be post-December patch most likely, yet Redirection still will give a higher time than Catalyzing's 1.3 both now and in the future"
In terms of shield gating not being superior... Ok yes, Health tanking is without a doubt easier (I don't know about superior purely in terms of mod space especially on a frame with 50 shields) but based entirely off the playstyle talked about and shown, you'd be able to solve Doom's low range which you say is an issue and get more strength for Nourish which could help the energy issues you mention at the beginning of your reply if you just shield gated. Similar to other builds, your not spamming an ability just for shields, but it is an active part of your damage rotation.
In addition, her 4 gives invincibility on cast and she cannot die with her 3rd active.
In no way do I intend for this to come off as rude, just outlining my thoughts on the builds!

He mentioned that he built his efficiency on the shield gate setup in such a way that he could refill his shields to full with doom. Considering how much you might need to spam that ability it just makes sense. Getting instant full shields back with an ability you are already spamming requires less reaction time than needing to tap pillage twice. It isn't like the 500 shields from redirection are that much better than the 1.33 from catalyzing either it's like just over 1.5 seconds. Not to mention if you are needing to rely on pillage to survive while only having 500 shields, you risk casting the ability so frequently that you may use it when there are no armored enemies around which would give you 0 shields back.

They could have just made Doom a buff that applied the Debuff once she’s looked an enemy in the eyes (like an actual Dullahan). The base duration could be really short to compensate for the “skill” reduction so you’d still need to recast it regularly. Definitely would be less of a pain to use.

How u going to say every effective needs range. I get u had test servers and today to test stuff but that is a strong and wild statement when u have dozens of modes and many ways to play. In addition u got the helminth and shard system. That statement is crazy to say for any frame. Now do most useful builds need it...sure but u cant say u know it all with limited testing like everyone else.

@@MysteriousGir A health tank build can easily utilize more than every health armor and healing arcane to be both a functional tank and well preforming weapon. His build just seems to lean all the way into tanking, I don’t think it’s worth it.
@@Hereltic The health tanking build is not that over invested into tanking. Umbral Vitality and Intensify are must haves and he’s only using fiber to buff the other umbral mods. He has enough strength and range, what else could he be putting in those slots?
My thoughts on this Warframe was I threw Stynax's tharos strike over her 4 instead of pillage. You already want range to be able to get more spread, more doom applications, and it heals you quite a bit. It requires less power strength than pillage to strip only needing 200% without corrosive projection. It is a bit short ranged, but since you're rocking a bunch of range on her anyways it scales up to about 20m which is pretty good for your 1 to hit things. she becomes more or less a melee warframe at that point.
Anyways, it seems ok but I dunno there's no survivability built into their kit why does their 3 have a cooldown? thanx I hate it.
