He intentionally avoids spreading creep because he "doesn't like it" and often picks purposely sub-optimal strategies to play before the game starts just for the challenge / memes. He sets rules for himself that he can only build specific units, etc. He's just having fun, winning is secondary.

19:38 correction. Uthermal infact has a decent economy, so much better than the opponent. You need to change observer layout. Uthermal has 3 base. The gold can mine double a fully saturated base with only 12 drones. Protoss has 52 probes that mines 1 and half base. That's like 5 boys trying to finish a cake with 2 table teaspoon.
Clearly the trick to beat a super grand master starcraft player would be to use bluetooth beads. The kinda beads that only a cavity search would reveal.
i love how lowko calls it a roach hydra army when it was just two leftover roaches with a mass hydra army lol. also the roaches to trick mape into switching off of adepts, and then switch to hydras to anticipate the stalkers was beautiful. you could see mape going for immortals to counter roaches at the end, but then throw down a robotics bay for collosus but it was too late
Uthermal in the first game seemed like he had the build down but wasn't really sure how to execute fully lol. Lings in the base, kinda sat there. Six mutas at minute six, didn't get much damage in. Rip.
I seem to distinctly remember you telling us recently that every Zerg unit that comes out of a cocoon will be healed to full. The dropperlord that transformed itself here did not. @3:10 do we know why?
the strategies and especially the economy that Uthermal plays makes me feel very uncomfy ( probably just out of comfort zone ) which ilove a lot, it is indeed experimental and super cool
lowko i know u use the term "lowko blindness" allot but this went even further then that fair that u miss seeing the upgrade finish but we had multiple times seeing the adeps fight using RED GLAIVES which are the upgraded version o_O
Even if you didn't know anything about uthermal, you can tell easily he isn't a zerg main. No spreading creep, but more importantly tries to play on equal bases, that might work vs randoms on the ladder when smurf account, but it doesn't work vs competent players.

I will never understand why “pros” don’t get spine / spore or canons etc in bases AND no upgrades. Uthermal almost never gets upgrades. Why? 15 hydras with 0/0 that’s just stupid. Even just do 1/1
Hes been playing more of his offrace recently. In this tournament he really wanted to use his hydralisk build, even though he know he will get blind countered hard. Which is why he made those weird transition on the 2nd and 3rd game

the proper timing of hydra allins is on 50 workers. Considering hydras cost vs adept cost, is 25 cheaper, hydras outscale them the later the game goes. (50 workers gives you crit mass vs everything at that timing) also considering upgrades and (not seen in this game) creep spread. going any lower is just straight up bad. (especially considering teching to vipers is also much easier with higher econ) Also not having double queens is terrible, 0 base defense is terrible, if you lose more then 5 workers vs early unupgraded adepts, you are playing the game wrong. Also very sloppy play of uthermal not having overlords at all spread in that last game. He basically chose to not get the maphacks via pillars. (seeing there was no stargate) The reall reason why hydra allins work vs protoss, is because stargate openers are really really bad versus it, and its basically a mandatory unit in a macro game, how else are you going to get your 3rd up vs mass ling or scout what your opponent does, when everything gets denied by proper unit positioning? Just because adepts are a timing that counters hydra, does not mean hydra allins automatically are forfit. They basically carry anyone who opens stargate. Even going 1 oracle delays your tech by 300 gas intotal. (you do the math how long it takes to get 300 gas with 2 saturated gasses) Added to that, going for a roach timing destroys any adept timing, so if you see someone play adept timings over and over again, all you need to do is cut workers and go mass roach, before the push hits, and your basically guaranteed a free win. You can try to pretend zerg doesnt have broken timings by showing off how good adepts are versus hydras. But if your gonna cast this type of game, your not supposed to be biased and also cast games where ppl cut workers at 50 and go mass roach. (also actually having someone play zerg who mains zerg is basically a must aswell if you want to be unbiased). But i guess this was just a video proving adepts kill hydras?
