I'd go so far as to say that none of your cons are actual cons; they are simply features you personally would like to have, not features we would expect all flashlights to have. The ability to change the clip would be nice! But I will say that I have attached this to a weight vest and a backpack while exercising at night in my neighborhood, and in its current position it easily allows me to light my path and increase my visibility! 3d printing a friction fit color filter holder for this light would be awesome! Anyway. This flashlight has been my go-to for walking for a year now, and one of my overall favorite lights. I've really enjoyed all the Ryobi USB lights I have tried. Definitely a solid use case for the 4v system!
We use the flashlight for walking around at night as well, the throw distance is good and the overall spread of the light is perfect. I agree that many would call it 'features' vs a true con....but for many of my ex-military friends the lack of the features I mentioned have specifically stopped them from buying this particular flashlight. I am hoping that Ryobi watches videos like mine to get ideas on how to make improvements (or add features) to the tools for the future. However, I am unsure if they even watch my stuff. :D Thanks for watching and commenting!
Wow, this light is on sale for $30 right now! That's a great flashlight for the price. I wonder how this light compares to the Olight Arkfield Pro, it's been my EDC for a while now and it's been great around the homestead!
That is a great price and the light is much brighter than expected for the size and price, especially for a 4V option! The Olight Arkfield Pro has a ton of additional features that the Ryobi doesn't have, I really like the blacklight/UV option for finding the pesky scorpions we have around here.
I am glad you were able to buy one, it is a shame they are that much more expensive for you all in Mexico! I hope it gives you many years of trouble free usage. Thank you for watching and leaving the positive comment!
Great review! Love your perspective on additional features that could improve it!
Thank you for the compliment, watching and commenting. I hope that Ryobi likes the ideas and decides to implement them.
