  • In June, 2019, three JASP team members (Alexander Etz, Julia Haaf, and Johnny van Doorn) taught a webinar on Bayesian inference for The Society for Personality and Social Psychology. The webinar provides attendees with a friendly, gentle introduction to Bayesian statistics, and demonstrates how to perform Bayesian analyses using JASP statistical software. Attendees will come away understanding the "why" and "how" of Bayesian estimation and hypothesis testing. This workshop is relevant to any student or researcher who wishes to draw conclusions from empirical data. No background in Bayesian statistics is required.

I'm in medicine and part of my PhD is cooperating with a psychology prof who is adamant to use Bayesian analyses in JASP. You've saved my paper, probably owe you a beer.

Thank you very much! It was extremely hard to find anything on Bayesian ANOVAs on RUclips - especially in combination with JASP. A lot of people show analyses using custom R packages, or they only do t tests, or other types of just very simple examples. This video is the first one that provides an actual overview!

Thanks for sharing! Quick question: Isn't the Bayesian inductive cycle closer to abductive reasoning?

Question regarding a paired t-test and informed prior t distribution. How do you determine the parameters such as scale & degrees of freedom?

I was requested to do a table of scales for cutt-of points in a psychological test using bayesian method, but it is not in JASP. Any suggestion?

Is any option for multiple comparison correction in JASP?
