    For a slight polishing / improvement. I think you could have used the performed a few distortions on the cracks.
    1)warp(pinch) the areas of cracks around eyes, and around outside of cheak bones
    2) rotate face and cracks together then use box select & scale to shrink various parts of cracks towards edges of face.
    3) warp(grow) area around nose(especially on tip of nose) and upper-inside-cheek-bones, and slightly on chin

    Your videos have helped me learn how to do so many things. The Face on an object one opened a HUGE doorway to me being able to do things on this program. Thank you so much for these videos!

    I really hope you'll start some illustrator tutorials some day, I'd love to learn it from you.
    Awesome tutorial btw, keep it up 👌

      Thanks. I actually plan on starting a separate channel for Illustrator tutorials later on this year. I would upload them here but I get the sense that my audience for this channel is generally only interested in Open Source software. I'll post a link on my Facebook page once I have it up and ready to go.

      Nick Saporito Good to hear it!
      I personally follow you because I think you're really good at explaining what you're doing and how to do it, I learned to use inkscape thanks to you.
      And now that i'm trying to learn Illustrator, it would be awesome to have you as teacher.
      Looking forward to that channel 😉

    • @LogosByNick

      GIMP gets easier once you become more familiar with how it works. It is much different from Inkscape. Great job with your channel by the way! Maybe one day we'll see you creating GIMP videos as well.

    Hello! I would like to know if Gimp is worth the download. I really want to start editing but I have read that it's quite difficult to get to used to it.

      Dhuha Alfahaf Just try it out. Its free after all and not that hard to get the basics

    • @LogosByNick
      @LogosByNick  7 лет назад +3

      It's not any more difficult than any other graphics application I've ever used. The only people I could see saying that are those who are already acclimated with Photoshop or something else, then trying to transfer their skill set over to GIMP.

    What does the "Add alpha channel" do?

    • @LogosByNick
      @LogosByNick  7 лет назад +4

      It adds transparency beneath a layer. If there's no alpha channel, then erasing a segment of that layer would just make it white and it wouldn't show through to the layer beneath it.

    What should I press in 3:37?

  • @HrafnNordhri
    @HrafnNordhri 7 лет назад

    Looks great Nick! I do something very similar when creating zombie images. Couple things I do differently is I use layer masks instead of erasing, just in case :). I also often set my peeling/brick/grunge texture to black and white. Not always, but it really depends how its playing against the main image. Lovin this channel Nick!
