For a slight polishing / improvement. I think you could have used the performed a few distortions on the cracks. 1)warp(pinch) the areas of cracks around eyes, and around outside of cheak bones 2) rotate face and cracks together then use box select & scale to shrink various parts of cracks towards edges of face. 3) warp(grow) area around nose(especially on tip of nose) and upper-inside-cheek-bones, and slightly on chin
Your videos have helped me learn how to do so many things. The Face on an object one opened a HUGE doorway to me being able to do things on this program. Thank you so much for these videos!
Thanks. I actually plan on starting a separate channel for Illustrator tutorials later on this year. I would upload them here but I get the sense that my audience for this channel is generally only interested in Open Source software. I'll post a link on my Facebook page once I have it up and ready to go.
Nick Saporito Good to hear it! I personally follow you because I think you're really good at explaining what you're doing and how to do it, I learned to use inkscape thanks to you. And now that i'm trying to learn Illustrator, it would be awesome to have you as teacher. Looking forward to that channel 😉
GIMP gets easier once you become more familiar with how it works. It is much different from Inkscape. Great job with your channel by the way! Maybe one day we'll see you creating GIMP videos as well.
Thank you Nick, I did it in the same time and it is perfect. As I am french, I just had some difficulties to understand when you named keys you pressed like DELETE. It took time to me to understand what was this "secret step" !! LOL
Hello! I would like to know if Gimp is worth the download. I really want to start editing but I have read that it's quite difficult to get to used to it.
It's not any more difficult than any other graphics application I've ever used. The only people I could see saying that are those who are already acclimated with Photoshop or something else, then trying to transfer their skill set over to GIMP.
Hey, I love your videos! when I get to 3:31 and get rid of the white, when its deleted the background goes to red and I have no idea why. I restarted and followed everything step by step but its happening again . Can anyone help?
It adds transparency beneath a layer. If there's no alpha channel, then erasing a segment of that layer would just make it white and it wouldn't show through to the layer beneath it.
Hey Nick... Nice job I Following this tutorials check your instagram and views yours mentions I have a request If you are try a double expousure effect greetings from south america
Looks great Nick! I do something very similar when creating zombie images. Couple things I do differently is I use layer masks instead of erasing, just in case :). I also often set my peeling/brick/grunge texture to black and white. Not always, but it really depends how its playing against the main image. Lovin this channel Nick!
Just make more tutorials with Gimp
That tutorial was easy to follow also for a not perfect Englishman :-). Thank you

How to Increse and decrese size of image
Nice, thumbs UP!
Wow, but how did switching the mode to overlay make the color pop in that way?? I just don't understand HOW it happened:-/
what did you use ?? adobe??/
muy bien
What does the "Add alpha channel" do?
It adds transparency beneath a layer. If there's no alpha channel, then erasing a segment of that layer would just make it white and it wouldn't show through to the layer beneath it.
Nick Saporito Oooooh, thank you so much! Nice video BTW
Thankx
please how to do that by Inkscape
