Calo d´en Monjo
Caló d'en or des Monjo is situated at three kilometres from Peguera, between sa Llobasa and l'Olla. This coastal stretch is the natural border between the municipalities of Calvià and Andratx. This virgin u-shaped sea inlet finishes on a very small cove, which is irrigated by a torrent that flows into the sea at this point, surrounded by some medium-high cliffs in a very quiet coastal setting. The pine trees situated in this natural environment reach the coastline, whereas the pebbles and the gravel are the elements of the beach of Caló d'en Monjo. The marine and underwater conditions for anchoring boats are good, although the navigator has to be very careful because of the emerging rocks and a sandbank in the interior of this cove which is open to the wind from southeast. In the external part of this sea inlet there is a rocky ground with seaweed and the depth is about five metres. The nearest port facilities are located at Club Nàutic Santa Ponça, at three nautical miles. The accessibility by car is easy until Cala Fornells following the signs, and where you can park for free. From here you will have to walk up on a trail until this beautiful corner. These characteristics explain that the beach is not very crowded by local visitors and tourists. This is why this beach has been declared nudist by the Ajuntament de Calvià. Information about this beach may change.
