    When using the #1 guard next time open the lever and use the #1 to flick out the hard line and blend more. Other then that good job.

    Im in barber school and the easiest way to figure out how high or low to go for your fade is the 3 finger method: place 3 fingers on the side of your head and flick your wrist to make your life easier. Nice job though danz beard, cheers!

    Awesome work, it's not easy to do it on yourself. The line is a little harsh, try opening the lever with the #1 guard on (#1.5 guard) and use it to blend the line between the #1 and #2 guard

    • @danzbeard
      @danzbeard  6 лет назад +1

      Thank you. Yeah, it's quite difficult indeed. Thank you for the tip!

    After cutting the hair with a 1 inch guard you should use the 2 inch guard with the lever closed and use that to blend the hair a little bit more because right now there's kind of a harsh line in your head so by using that 2-inch guard you can softened up that line and it won't be so bold and will have more of a fade look

    Get yourself a three way mirror and hang it in the bathroom . Somewhere where you can put it up and take it down easily. Having a three way mirror helps a lot so you can see what you are doing on the sides and in the back of your head. Go from a #1 guard close to set your guideline to a 1 guard open no more than than an inch above your guideline. then a #2 guard close an inch above the open #1 guard guideline then a #2 guard open. Your number 1 guard should be no higher then your temple around either above or below your occipital bone (not on it). When you fade up make sure you flick your wrist so you don't make harsh lines. Can't explain any better than that. Lol. Hope this helps. Cheers

    How to fade from your side length (1/16th) to the top of your head: Grab the 1 and a half guard (1 1/2 or 3/16) ,open the lever and go about fingers length above the #1 guard ,then after that get your #2 and do the same, to take out the line the 1 and 1/2 guard made simply close the lever on the clipper and go up but not entirely too high but just enough to remove the line, (presumably half of an inch). The #2 guard will make a line as well but as before just simply close the lever and go up a little over the line and remove it , you might need a #3 guard to completely fade from the #2 into the top of your head but you can use scissors as well.

    self fades with longer lengths on top are very difficult...blending the different lines is also generally very difficult with any length even with little hair left on top...even for professional working barbers...beard trimming can also very easily get out of hand so to speak...have a good and safe trip to Bali...best of luck and fun times....TY
