This system looks excellent! I’d love to put something similar on my power hammer. Would you be okay with sharing the dimensions of your linkage? Thanks so much!
Hi tony. The hammer has a three way input so I can link the three compressors that I own. This should give me about 2.5 x the air capacity. Hopefully this will be enough to be useful!
In the process of building a power hammer now. Ordered the lever switch and push to connect fittings. Hooked it to my cylinder (a new hydraulic cylinder) and it takes about three seconds to move the cylinder the 7 inch stroke. Will an air cylinder move faster or is there a problem in my valve I ordered. I ordered a 5way 2position valve and using 1/4 line.
That seems a bit slow. Could be a orifice somewhere in the system, a very large diameter cylinder or perhaps just extra friction from the o rings on the piston.
I hope no poor unsuspecting spider got hit by that muffler as it struck the beam and bounced off! I need to build a power hammer, even if it is just for the fun of it.
Looks good, well done. I hope that you have understanding Neighbours, what with the compressor running and the banging. Regards from Australia.
Damn cool! Cad (cardboard aided design) is amazing. 🤔
Nice, seems to work wonderfully
Lovely done mate :)
Thats a great upgrade to the original build.
One question....how are the neighbours when you are using it...lol.
Regards Kevin

It works well, I would say you'll need a bigger compressor with a larger output for constant use. Is that on the books? Tony

Brilliant. Love it!
Hi John. Are you the track John sturgeon? If so hello and how are you? ( if you are not, hello anyway!)
Nice, what kind of valve is the linkage connected to?
just a cheep amazon 5-2 valve

I took me a second or two to work out what flew off! It does show that the cheapo mufflers I used were high loss though
Does your pedal bounce around or does it feel pretty smooth
there is no feedback from the reciprocating through the pedal so you cannot feel anything other than the spring tension
