Firstly, I am not trying to discredit any of BTS member here cause i love the 7 of them. But when it comes to what's going behind the BTS song that we always hear, one of part is recording the roles of main vocal are really important. Almost the guide tracks of BTS sung by JK, so he learned it first before any member to guide the member while recording. He always add some adlibs and background vocal to fill the gaps that member left so BTS song are more rich. That's why JK always took more time while recording. JK maybe often becomes the last person leave recording room cause he will give adlibs, harmonizing with other member, or doing the background vocal like Suga said when recording In the Soop ost, "don't worry jungkook will handle it", or when RM live and ask to JM or V (I forget), "what are you doing here?" and he answer "waiting for JK to finish recording". And also remember when jin said about recording Jamais Vu, he already record beautiful high note adlibs but cause JK say no, so that adlib doesn't make it. That's why he almost know the lyrics of BTS's song even that are not his part. After watching these videos and their Bon Voyage and In The Soop shows, I've really come to admire Jungkook even more. I think sometimes we get so used to him being naturally talented and never saying no to his hyungs that we forget how difficult it is for normal people to do what he does. And the fact that he does it all without even complaining... I remember once he also said that he doesn't feel like he deserves being called the "Golden Maknae" yet and that it's the reason why he works so hard - because he wants to earn the nickname. The way I waited for this reaction 😅. Jungkook is really an amazing and talented vocalist. He has been getting alot of heat or hate might I say since he debuted because of the positions he has. People said he doesnt deserve to be main vocal and centre. However, their opinions have always been founded on malice and envy. Jungkook actually works hard and diligently regardless of any role. As you can see even if people didnt know what he actually does, everybody can still see that he gives 100% in everything even when he is unwell. So truly it's not the role that made him, it's his will and zeal to deliver powerfully. Also his personality outside of just singing is just beautiful, coupled with his other numerous creative talents. They bring out the best in him. JK is the “Center” during dance breaks because that is his official position too! 💜 “Main dancers” don’t always get “Center” parts during dance breaks because that is not their position. The “Center” is also usually one of the best dancers in the group. People need to learn more about K-Pop positions. 💜

Almost all BTS songs have Jungkook's back vocals. Some ignorant fans can't even tell the difference between their voices.Jungkook is a really talented person. JK, we know it's hard for you.💜👍
Firstly, I am not trying to discredit any of BTS member here cause i love the 7 of them. But when it comes to what's going behind the BTS song that we always hear, one of part is recording the roles of main vocal are really important.
Almost the guide tracks of BTS sung by JK, so he learned it first before any member to guide the member while recording. He always add some adlibs and background vocal to fill the gaps that member left so BTS song are more rich. That's why JK always took more time while recording. JK maybe often becomes the last person leave recording room cause he will give adlibs, harmonizing with other member, or doing the background vocal like Suga said when recording In the Soop ost, "don't worry jungkook will handle it", or when RM live and ask to JM or V (I forget), "what are you doing here?" and he answer "waiting for JK to finish recording". And also remember when jin said about recording Jamais Vu, he already record beautiful high note adlibs but cause JK say no, so that adlib doesn't make it. That's why he almost know the lyrics of BTS's song even that are not his part.
But that's not the point, the point is when it come to his role as main vocal, he knows what he's doing, knows what touch this song needs, and he expresses it well with using his voice.
Not only one producer I've heard about JK's versatility voice that what producer need when recording. The fact that JK's voice in the studio version or live version are the same cause he always ate CD. His voice is clear but it has color and can pull off any kind of genre. Like Jhope said, JK's voice was a gift, he was born with that blessing.

It's not Jk who decides himself to sing the whole song lol. The other members decide him to sing those lines just like the soop recording lol. He gets most lines because the other members think so that he does better than them in those parts. It's not Jk who decides the line distribution, & not even Bighit. After watching these videos and their Bon Voyage and In The Soop shows, I've really come to admire Jungkook even more. I think sometimes we get so used to him being naturally talented and never saying no to his hyungs that we forget how difficult it is for normal people to do what he does. And the fact that he does it all without even complaining... I remember once he also said that he doesn't feel like he deserves being called the "Golden Maknae" yet and that it's the reason why he works so hard - because he wants to earn the nickname.
Also: him being called the Golden Maknae when he was so young and then seeing him now being the amazing man he is - really makes you think how true it is that the name makes the person, like J-hope said.

What many people don‘t know is that JK is even credited for instruments for example the piano in Love is not over or for the vocals in the instrumental version of butter.
An explanation for the chorus credits and guides:
- The chorus credit is an official credit like the producer and songwriter credits or the instrumental credits. Jungkook‘s vocals are used to layer some of the vocals to give it a fuller and more wholesome sound. For example, when Jimin or Jin (or even JK himself) hit some of the high notes those high notes would not sound 'full', so many times some of the vocals are layered with vocals from 1-2 other people. It is mostly not that much of a lower key, so it can still sound like one voice and be blended together perfectly. In nearly all of their songs JK is credited for the chorus, because he has a very good range and his vocals are steady. He has also a good ear. This is not just my own opinion but was stated by either the members, critics or producers who worked with him. For example, the music critic Kim Youngdae stated that Jungkook is a singer with perfect pitch in “BTS the Review“ and Sleep Deez, the producer of my time, tweeted that Jungkooks range is crazy. Hence, his vocals blend with others a lot easier and can round out a song. If you don't have that layered vocals you would notice a huge difference and the song would sound quite thin. By blending the vocals with layering or using many harmonizations in the song you also create a seamless transition from one member to another.
- A guide is a rough cut of a song, before the song is recorded, so that the people who record the song can follow the beat and melody. It gives an impression how the song should be sung. Normally JK is the one that does their guides. He even recorded some guides for the rapline and their mixtapes. Some of BTS‘s guides are also done by RM.
I think it is a little sad that many fans especially new ones don’t know JK’s artistic side, how much Jungkook contributes behind the scenes and that he spends extra time for the layering and harmonizations, so I appreciate this video by Ida S. Jungkook is the glue to BTS‘s songs. If you listen to the stripped down versions or the background vocals of many songs from BTS, you notice that Jungkook‘s voice can be heard throughout the whole songs.
When ppl think about "the main vocalist" they think that the only special thing about it is that the main vocalist has a stable voice and he has the biggest number of lines , which is totally wrong being the main vocalist is the most important part in any group and jungkook proved it many times

The way I waited for this reaction 😅. Jungkook is really an amazing and talented vocalist. He has been getting alot of heat or hate might I say since he debuted because of the positions he has. People said he doesnt deserve to be main vocal and centre. However, their opinions have always been founded on malice and envy. Jungkook actually works hard and diligently regardless of any role. As you can see even if people didnt know what he actually does, everybody can still see that he gives 100% in everything even when he is unwell. So truly it's not the role that made him, it's his will and zeal to deliver powerfully. Also his personality outside of just singing is just beautiful, coupled with his other numerous creative talents. They bring out the best in him. He has always said he wants to sing until the day he dies. It's called passion. That's one of the important ingredients required to be a great singer as it pushes you to be better every chance you get. No time to get comfortable. He is not deserving of main vocalist because he is stable, no! It has always and will be more than just a stable voice. It's his hunger for being a phenomenal singer and be that anchor that people can always rely on. You can see how he practices, breathes, drinks and eats singing. So even when people speak low of him, we know at the end of the day, they still know he is phenomenal. Accepting that is what is difficult for them. I'm glad there's videos like these that actually take time to educate more people about him, other than the fact that he is a precious maknae raised by his hyungs, and just being a Jack of all trades.
