- Haha, hope you guys like this one! I actually made this in about...umm i think two days, so im sorry if it looks rushed. But, actually I think that it turned out really good :D it seems to be the best so far considering i haven't made any videos in a long time. Sorry if the hd sux, iunno how to really do it. and the only way i know how takes too long so yeah...

Wow, It's almost been 6 years since I made this video! It truly warms my heart to see you guys still watching my old videos :') I've learned a lot from the AMVs I've made in my time and can confidently say that it helped me hone my editing and filmmaking skills along with my sense of musicality. Although I'm out of the AMV game, I can't wait to see what the new generation of editors bring to the table. 11 years ago and I still prefer this version of final fantasy, especially the character of stella, it's like seeing aertih, tifa and rinoa in a single person, a waste of character ... but I hope in the future that one day they will reimplement her in a story
stop comparing every single girl in final fantasy to them for gods sake. i love her, but oh my god let go of tifa. i like stella too but she has like 5 minutes of screen time and you guys act like she's a goddess.

This could've been one of the greatest games ever known but the engine issues and XIV's disastrous launch fucked everything up.
15 wasn't 13 versus, 13 versus was better
Every time I see anything Final Fantasy XIII Versus it makes me think of the game we could have had, instead of the game we got.
Man this could have bin the darkest but even more memorable entry in the final Fantasy series hitting like FF7 or 8 and not fading slowly into obscurity as it is now
Prior to the release of the game, I thought (in my head when i first saw the trailer) it was gonna be like a Romeo/Juliet with more fleshed out characters and internal struggles, as well as a clash of ideals; with each one having their own points and flaws.
Noctis: childhood friend of Stella, a prince whose kingdom was stolen and looking to re-establish its former glory and the freedom of his people, that being the last wish of his dying father/king. Leader of the freedom fighters who sees the ruling empire as ruthless and oppressive.
Stella: heiress to the ruling monarchy, dubbed as "usurper" by many but she actually just whole-heartedly and firmly believes what she's fighting for is right, a childhood friend of Noctis, a loving daughter to his misguided father, Sees the fallen kingdom of Lucis as a prideful country sitting on a white horse who looks down on its neighboring countries and refuses to share whatever knowledge/magic it possesses.
Boy was I wrong on so many levels.
Luke Calum Lyonwrath tbh that was exactly the concept i was looking forward to initially before the game was released, but then... yeah we all know what happened after that. 😭

@@wiceorc5105 as was said earlier, i was talking about Stella, one of the main protagonists in the Versus XIII way before she was cut and replaced by Luna along with a better half of a game due to the development hell. And it really hurts to see that kind of game transformation after being amused once as a kid by FF Versus XIII trailers and lore. So, yeah, last thing on my mind here would be what you considered.

the only time I watched this clip was 9 years ago, and until today I can't forget, when something is marked, it's impossible to remove from memory.
I hope this was released on another universe and didn't suck.
Tbh,never heard of this..finished the XV and it pretty suck in story but great on other graphics,gameplay etcs.

@@lalagirl211 Tetsuya Nomura was the original director and character designer for FF Versus-XIII. After six years of working on it he was replaced by Hajime Tabata who made it into the FFXV we know today.

@Solomon Guile there's actually a lot of information leaks from former employees of square enix about the concept, game design, story and state of play of versus xiii (or it was at least), you just need to Google it. The game meant to be really good story-wise, unlike what we eventually got.

I recently got into Final Fantasy..always being a Kingdom Hearts fanatic. But I can't believe I NEVER realized the Final Fantasy series was such a good one. I am absolutely inlove with the characters & Story of FF7 and simply can't get over it.
The characters are just sooo well made; I hope they continue these games FOREVER ; Cloud's story Specifically but anyways,

On the bright side though, Versus 13 is still technically a thing for Kingdom Hearts 4. We're even gonna see Noctis and his boys be involved with Yozora and Sora together.

I completely agree, based on the trailers we saw, XIII versus seemed like it was going to be a very different game, and one that suited my tastes a lot more than FFXV ever did. But, I will admit, FFXV is a decent game in it's own right. Especially if we consider the DLC as part of the game. The DLC really saved that game for me. But it still is nowhere near what I imagined from the XIII versus trailers
They may have saved it for you but not for me. The DLC for the story do not fullfil their purposes and the story still lacks so hard despite of new content and there is more content coming soon. Everything around this game is good but on the inside it's terrible. Instead of making worthless DLC it's desperatly needed to fix the story but that's long overdue. But I'm standing alone at this point since the huge amount of people cares about other extras instead to solve the most important thing for an RPG.
Snow The Hero the fact that 15 needs all that DLC to make it a somwhat tolerable game just shows how lackluster it truly is. And also the fact that square released an incomplete game to try and milk the consumer with DLC and a "royal edition" just shows how far they have fallen. Should have just kept nomura on and stuck with versus

IMSTEAKY dlc like costumes and accessory items are one thing but giving us a half finished game on release date and witholding vital parts of the story only to release them as dlc to try and milk the consumer dry is another

Few night ago I finished watching FFXV and I truly loved the game tho the story was a bit disappointing. And I could honestly say I really really like Noctis. Such a great character, somewhat mysterious, just how my friend describes him. But now I'm coming across these different trailers of the game and I'm freaking in shock to know that this trailer was 8 years ago...this would have been truly perfect for Final Fantasy and I'm sad for it to be cancelled or delay and changed the story. I'm mean, I don't hate XV, but this would have been the best game. HE WOULDNT HAD DIED JUST LIKE THE OTHER ONE!

They ruined the game alone with the fact that they made a lot of story parts as DLC! ... Gameplay and Graphics are awesome ofc but the character developement and the Story was awful! ... Cant get why people enjoying such a disgrace of a game ...

Just the gameplay part I don’t agree much. could definitely be better, not smash some button and be done but instead with actual combos etc. and not being able to switch party members / switch character control was a reall bummer, for me at least.

If this game releases this year, I hope Square-Enix makes more detailed versions of the heroes' appearances from when it was Versus 13, either as a completion reward or as DLC. (Preferably free)

Nope the only thing i can complain is that luna may be a little bit too perfect but thats all. My theory is that she stands for everything light and good so she has to be perfect. But all in all i'm so happy that this versus thing improved to ff15

Not recently though.. Freakin FFXIII battle systems, wimpy main male characters, (one of which was completely inconsequential to the plot, VAAAAN...)
But because you are right, as far as the pre-PS2 titles (excluding X) go, I can't seem to give up hope for future Final Fantasies... And Versus looks... Awesome...

They should made FF Verse XIII when they had the chance.
The problem with FFXV was it felt like it was missing two thirds of its story. Unless you watch Kingsglaive and brotherhood you don't know any of background for the other characters.
What FFXV needed was more story and backstory for the bad guys, more story and backstory for the side characters, more story and backstory for main characters less Noctic more the other three and a lot less side quests that where only there to distract you from the fact they didn't put a lot of story into games.
Sorry for the rant but that's just how I feel about the games.
Enjoyable to play but ultimately a big disappointment.
Sorry for replying to an old post, just wanted to tell you that it seems like Square is aware that they messed up on the story aspect, since they have been updating the game with DLC for the side characters and also small bits to the core game that expand on Noctis' relationship with Luna and they even put some clips from Kingsglaive directly into the game as well. They are even still expanding on the story with continous DLC story content.
Personally I think it's bull that we have to pay even more money to get story content that was lacking from the original, but hey at least they are trying to fix it.
What really ticks me of though is that they use the excuse "The game was supposed to not focus on the sidecharacters story. This is Noctis' story, so we'll only show his perspective"
