  • In 2011 we travel to Liuwa Plains in Zambia to see Lady Liuwa, the last lioness in Liuwa Plains. We also witness the 2nd largest Wildebeest migration in Africa. We cross the Barotse plains and camp wild. What an experience!

    Wow, must have been an epic journey back in 2011. Today the entire part 1 in Zambia can be driven in a day. Tar roads and bridges now all way to from Katima Mulilo to Kalabo.

      @@RoseDouglasTravelwithUsExplore Very much so. African Parks is doing a great job of running the park. HQ now also moved about 13km beyond Kalabo pontoon to be on border of park. Camp sites are well developed and there is even a new self catering option available. In Mongu there is a well stocked Shoprite to fill up before you head to the park.

    This Zambian president doesn't take any salary from his government.He lives on his own money.That is the coolest thing in all over Africa.
