      He's Lasse, actually. Lived in the neighborhood in the early 80's because there were no jobs in Finland so we emigrated to Sweden for some years at the time. Look. What's the catch ridiculing other's names? Lotta satisfaction? Sorry for being your momma when apparently there was no momma but still think it's cool? Or is this meme thing what works for you?

    GG = Callaham Guitars. I don't know if the construction of his block is any different than stock, but there is a delrin insert that holds his bar steady. You don't need that goofy spring that goes inside the bar cavity to keep the bar from bottoming out. The string openings on saddles are a hair longer than stock to prevent bind and lessen breakage. The screw holes on his bridge place are back a little more compared to stock, also, to help prevent bind at the screws.

  • @fuzzymuppet1990

    I know this is super old but the real reason the bridges are upgraded to the callahan guitar bridges is that those fender bridges have a wide vintage string spacing which can lead to the strings being way to close to the edge of the fretboard and the strungs tend to slip off the fretboard .callahan bridges make a bridge with vintage screw hole spacing but a modern narrower string spacing to solve this issue. Fender also makes a bridge called hwy one bridge that does the same. Cheers !

    Here's Yngwie playing with the Japanese Philharmonic Orchestra. Yngwie makes an entrance about five minutes in. Yeah, you can see how scalloped his fretboard is here too. In general, he loves playing harmonic minor scales. ruclips.net/video/Mylvwhy63bk/видео.html

      What makes the Callaham bridge better than the Fender one? It didn't look much different.

    • @wooliegeek
      @wooliegeek 7 лет назад +1

      b minor very solid, extremely well machined. My biggest gripe with the Fender ones are the trem arm socket. The CG is really well made so it goes is perfectly with no wiggle room. The one on the yngwie model is really quite nice, but the CG is even better. HTH

    • @j_freed
      @j_freed 7 лет назад

      b minor - rolled and milled steel, which is more costly to do than castings or cheap pot metal Fender may use. Try a magnet on your block, it should only stick to real steel which may be good enough without the fancier CG manufacture.

  • @peetena1481
    @peetena1481 7 лет назад

    Dave CG is Calaham Guitars. They make really really good hardware for Fender stuff. It's pricey but worth it IMO having used the new trem block and other stuff in a 2007 HWY 1 Strat.

    I love the color of that guitar and the maple fingerboard. Not sure about the scalloped fingerboard. I’d love to have a telecaster and 51/55 P Bass like that. Reference the virtuoso stuff. I agree. Good memorable songs are more important to me. A guy that does both well is Steve Howe. The Beatles, Stones, Byrd’s, Tom Petty and the Moody Blues are great supporting evidence for this “opinion.”

    Dave, Does the wood in a solid body tele guitar influence the sound of the guitar itself ? I'm very interested in your opinion Dave, you've heard 1000's of telecasters and stratocasters . I know there are people who take this stuff very seriously and are very opinionated about this. What you reckon Dave ? For instance is a swamp ash tele going to sound different to an alder tele, or a pine tele , or paulownia tele ? As you get older, weight becomes an issue, so a lighter guitar is a better option, but not if the sound is going to suffer. Heavy wood does sustain longer ie old les pauls . I'm just asking about slabs of wood in tele guitars . thanks for your advice dave.. cheers

    No one can even mention Malmsteen without saying something bad about him, it's very telling. Instead of celebrating excellence, people look for excuses to complain. It's a lot easier to do than developing skills and knowledge, and it makes you feel better about your own incompetence. Then you wonder why you can't find Americans to do high-skilled work.

      Apples and Oranges...I love maiden. But it's three freaking guys only on guitar and probably one of the best bass players ever. (wait...Somewhere back in time , there were just Dave and Adrian. Now add the Stage show with Eddie...
      I still get it, Maiden blows every other band out of the park.

      I would never want to open for Maiden.
      The opening act could give out gold bars and the audience would still be like "NOPE".
