    Black Uhuru was the best reggae band for me growing up. Mykal Rose was deliberate and thoughtful with his responses. I believe it was intentional, aiming to steer clear of gossip or accidental slips of the tongue.

    I know Mikal Rose is a living legand, one of the top performer and vocalist to ever be in the reggae genre. Black Uhuru made history and set the tone for Reggae band changing their sound and winning grammys. Rose is special musically but some of the information he talk about i had no idea. Wow! Makes me appreciate this musical icon even more. I bought the Anthem album 1984 first year in college.i was studying to be an architect and to this day i feel it is one of the Greatest album ever created. Its creativeness, inventative creation and it was nothing i had ever heard before when it came to Reggae. Only thing i will say negative was i was piss that they broke up and the group moved on. Puma died, Rose and Duckie fall out and Sly & Dubar started doing their own thing all the way. But great memories and music i had following and listening to this band. Respect

      Wat ah deadpan interview….. just wanted to promote new album….. after Duckie fiery interview I expected a strong response…. But Mykal Ras proved Duckie right!!!…. Him have no grit… sit on the fence…. Disrespect Puma… didn’t mention a good word about her…. No doubt he doesn’t have the personality to carry the Black Uhuru sound….People forget the live performances…. It was Puma cultural dancing and Duckie coolness set the package…. No doubt Mykal was a great vocalist…. But being in a package suited him….but people boost up ego…. and wrong thinking develop….

    Duckie SImpson is a fool. He is nothing without Michael Rose or Jr Reid. Look at how many great solo songs Michael Rose has done AFTER his time with Duckie. And what has Duckie done on his own compared to Michael Rose ? There's your truth and there's your answer. Duckie was even drowned out on backing vocals by Puma. Go back and watch Muscles' interview with Duckie Simpson and the math starts to add up to a level of 'Simpson Subtraction'. I'm starting to wonder if Rose's 'Too Short Temper' was about Simpson - why not, if the tam fits, let him wear it.

    • @rastarrecords1
      @rastarrecords1 10 месяцев назад

      They're nothing without him. Duckie is a Revolutionary. Black Uhuru is Duckie. You heard it here Mykal Rise came in the group has Mykal Rose.

    • @rootzandbranches4656
      @rootzandbranches4656 10 месяцев назад

      @@rastarrecords1 Name one great song that Duckie Simpson has recorded on his own ? Michael Rose has dozens of solo efforts that Duckie couldn't even dream of making. I could type a list of all those songs if you'd like too but it would take a lot more time than trying to find one decent Duckie tune. I doubt you can find many people that say Duckie is more talented than Rose - it's not even a close race.

    • @rastarrecords1
      @rastarrecords1 10 месяцев назад
