You can mix gold dust with neutral oil - that's what I did for my wafer paper gold wreath (you can search on my channel)

You can "sandwich" your stick in between two layers of wafer paper!

So if you need the colour to dry very fast, or if the paper has already been softened/weakened, then you paint with vodka. But if you're ok to leave it to sit for a few minutes to dry, then you paint with water + glycerine? I'm just a bit confused because you have said in other videos that vodka can make the paper too brittle :)
So, I don't use alcohol to make wafer paper flowers, because when you are going to arrange petals or flowers on the cake - you need to maintain it's flexibility - I use my conditioner recipe (water+glycerin+gel color). For decorations like such I don't need it to be flexible, so I use vodka to speed up the process. Hope this helps!

I use piping gel or royal icing!
Amazing tutorial! Is there any way to add the wafer paper to a buttercream cake?
Yes of course! Buttercream won't melt wafer paper. If your buttercream sweats or you live in a humid area, I would recommend to cover the back side of wafer paper with melted cocoa butter or candy melts.

@@sanaalam1982 I find that wafer paper could be held in the fridge for up to a few days, but depends on your fridge and your humidity. You can please a piece of wafer paper in the fridge to test prior to making the cake.

Every wafer paper brakes if it is dry. Try adding more steam to make it flexible. I use AD-grade here - 0.27mm
