    As usual you have put a lot of hard work and effort into making this video.
    I so appreciate your time and generosity sharing your knowledge with us and I find your videos interesting and helpful while learning how to work with this new medium.
    The end result is great and I look forward to more wafer paper and as always sugar creations and tutorial!💕

    Hello Cake Friend :) I am curious about the product you chose to color the leaves. Why did you make this your product of choice for this project?

    Thankyou for this tutorial...
    i hv tried similar technique in past which ended up in inward curled leaves all loosing their shape.. I didnt over wet the paper too... But i had used plain water without vodka (wouldn't vodka make the paper too brittle?)..

      @FinespunCakes  4 года назад

      It's possible you have a different thickness of wafer paper. I've tried just vodka and it worked well for me just dried out a lot quicker than the water/vodka mixture.
      If you colour the paper before cutting the leaves I think you'll have less curling!

      It's just wafer paper scraps microwaved with water in 10 second increments until it's goopy. Thanks!

    Can I use water alone without vodka?

    • @FinespunCakes
      @FinespunCakes  2 года назад

      Yes! Just be careful you don't dissolve your wafer paper. You can add a few drops of glycerine to your water to help prevent dissolving the paper.

    Hi Alexandria, when I applied the cornstarch onto the wafer paper, the wafer paper just stayed white. I tried to apply a really thin layer of cornstarch, but it still turned white. Is there something I am doing wrong? Thank you!

    • @FinespunCakes
      @FinespunCakes  3 года назад

      Hmm, I've never had that happen. It could've been that your wafer paper wasn't wet enough to start with so there wasn't much moisture to absorb? You can always try brushing it again with more colour!

    Hi! What is the thickness of the wafer paper that is ideal to make long & big leaves? We have here 0.35 & O.65

    • @FinespunCakes
      @FinespunCakes  3 года назад

      I’m not sure of the exact thickness as it’s in inches but this is the link to the same one I use www.flourconfections.com/edible-wafer-paper-rectangle-package-100-decopac-p-1728.html?currency=CAD
