Jabs, kicks to the body and head should've been his key weapons to open up DDP along with front kicks. When he finally bated attacks his defense didn't allow him to counter. In contrast Anderson silva would make you pay if you missed. Granted silva had more power in his punches and was more explosive but Izzy is very technical and tall and long.

Poor analysis, its the quality of defensive strikers thats causing Izzy problems. Whittaker in the first fight was sloppy defensively but had a wide range of offensive weapons, after the KO he changed his blitz and worked on his exits and we saw that in the rematch. Strickland is excellent defensively with a basic yet extremely effective set of weapons. Dricus is a good mix of both and he's BIG for 185 and clearly carries game changing power, full credit to him, he's the champ.

I'm right with Din. He looked slower than usual, more flat footed than usual, easier to get down than usual & more importantly got tired faster than ever.
He tried to match the superior physical specimen strength for strength and that's what happens when you add unnecessary size. You're also wrong about the takedowns. Izzy is easy to take down. He's just usually quick to get up. But with Dricus' Jiu-jitsu that's why he was having problems. As for the tiredness, Dricus pushed a good pace, wrestled him, and landed good to the legs and body. Stop giving izzy excuses, Dricus made him look bad.
I'm the biggest Izzy hater. He looked good and actually was close to winning. They both started to gas in the fourth. The difference is, that Izzy got scared and started to back off. DDP on the other hand picked up the pace and went for the kill. This was a battle of willpower and Izzy's broke.

Poor analysis, its the quality of defensive strikers thats causing Izzy problems. Whittaker in the first fight was sloppy defensively but had a wide range of offensive weapons, after the KO he changed his blitz and worked on his exits and we saw that in the rematch. Strickland is excellent defensively with a basic yet extremely effective set of weapons. Dricus is a good mix of both and he's BIG for 185 and clearly carries game changing power, full credit to him, he's the champ.

He tried to match the superior physical specimen strength for strength and that's what happens when you add unnecessary size. You're also wrong about the takedowns. Izzy is easy to take down. He's just usually quick to get up. But with Dricus' Jiu-jitsu that's why he was having problems. As for the tiredness, Dricus pushed a good pace, wrestled him, and landed good to the legs and body. Stop giving izzy excuses, Dricus made him look bad.

I'm the biggest Izzy hater. He looked good and actually was close to winning. They both started to gas in the fourth. The difference is, that Izzy got scared and started to back off. DDP on the other hand picked up the pace and went for the kill. This was a battle of willpower and Izzy's broke.

I couldn't disagree more. Izzy looked very solid until the finish. I had Izzy up 2-1, he was stuffing the takedowns, using his range, he was making DDP miss and Izzy's conditioning looked to be better than DDP's. It was a good fight.
