I've been in a depression rut I'm finally peeking my head out of, this is going to help so much with everything i have to clean today and it'll help keep my spirits up while I do so, too!
This was a great declutter. You could record yourself reading anything and I'd buy it to listen to when I'm trying to relax. I enjoyed hearing your detailed thoughts. I really want to try Issamaya now. I always come out of declutters with a mental shopping list.
I have been loving coming back to this declutter and watching little by little! It’s just so relaxing and lovely! Thank you for recording all of this and giving us such detailed information on your thoughts about each product.
Betty Jean said recently that she has continued to contact the Shroud owner but they ignore her. I had to throw away my creepy cute because it went bad, but I’m not going to buy a new palette to replace it. I may never get my order and don’t want to go through the stress of trying to get my money back. I have some of the Blend Bunny palettes. The formula is okay to me but nothing spectacular. Sometimes when I use the darker shades, they are patchy. Some of the lighter shades blend away if I blend too much. I buy them because I like the color stories and wait to buy them on sale so they are not that expensive to me.
I saw that, it's so weird. I hope the owner is okay, but seems so strange to just ghost everyone. I am glad I am not the only one, I feel like the one person who hasn't been absolutely in love with their formula. It's fine, but people say its the best thing ever and I don't get it.
This was sooo much fun to watch!! Surprised not to see Hindash Beautopsy here, which I will never be without. But for me, since I don’t have enough space, I have pared my collection down to the formulas I think are the best of the best: the two Hindash palettes, Prada, Byredo Remembrance & Minerals, and all the Pat McGrath Motherships.
@@QueerBones Well clearly you don't actually NEED the Hindash palette, you have a collection of so many beautiful mattes! But of all people I would bet that you would so appreciate the unique artistry that went into this, and the formula is insanely good. I have had since it released and I literally use it almost every day for one thing or another, just because I think it is so much fun to use and create my own mattes from it. But I have always found it interesting that so few people talk about his make up! Also is on sale right now I noticed. :-) Also Boy Tears is incredible.
I'm just getting back into beauty RUclips and I found you, and I'm so glad! We we have similar tastes. My favorite, most worn brands are probably Surratt and Victoria Beckham Beauty. Love the dew drop foundation, eye glosses, and powder blush and shadows. Really want to try the souffle shadows you demonstrated awhile back. Since you seem to love cream shadows like I do, I just got one of Valentino's Dreamdust cream eyeshadows (Emerald Queen) and it is CRAZY beautiful. Also I've been watching your declutter while doing my own, it makes it less intimidating, so thank you!!
I am so glad you like my videos! Welcome back! I have not tried their eye glosses but I have been tempted so many times, especially on a sale, but they keep having sales after I have spent that months budget lol I will def look at the Valentino shadows
So excited you got UE Sorcerous Smoke! It's a really special neutral palette. I think they knocked it out of the park with color story, quality, packaging, theming. Vervain is so unique and one of my favorite shimmers for work - it's a rare cool tone shade that works seamlessly on my yellow-undertoned warm-ish skin tone. I think it'll work really well with your olive skin tone!
(sry for double commenting lol but the vids long im makin these as i go) i love fantasy cosmeticas warlock palette lol its my top favorite one! druid and sorcerer are tied for second lol. arcanum and profane is such a pretty combo, and add in occult for depth and its just *-*
Such a beautiful collection.. i’d have a heck of a time getting rid of some of those… love this, i could watch me doing this 😂 i’d have a hard time.. great collection. can’t wait to see the rest.. ❤🫣🙋🏼♀️
I've only just started the video, but I have a really fun idea that might help you use your colourful eyeliners more! What if you did an "eyeliner bingo" & let a randomizer [or a friend, or your husband] pick a liner, then you build a look around it? I've found that if I'm not planning to use a colourful eyeliner shade when I'm creating my look, I'm usually just going to default to black, brown, or something neutral-adjacent. 💕 ONTO THE REST OF THIS DIRECTOR'S CUT DECLUTTER.
@@QueerBones Oh, yeah, time is such a big obstacle. Well, I'm sure you can figure out a way that works for you!! I'm usually basic when it comes to my eye makeup, so if I wanna do an interesting shade in my waterline, I usually coordinate it to a similarly cool/warm neutral or I have a similar pop on the inner corner. I feel like your pretty bright blue eyeliners would go well with the Lisa Eldridge "Vega" palette! [Also, your Girl Cult palette videos will be a perfect excuse to reacquaint yourself with your eyeliners. 💕]
If you ever do get the CB Muse palette, it's so gorge. I could see that being something you'd keep and use compared to Serenity. Also, if you can ever get LB Moonshroom on sale, the Magic Mushroom shimmer is so worth it to me. I got it during Memorial day, so I got a discount!
I hope ND makes a bigger palette (same size as metropolis) with all cool tone neutrals, cool mauves, and other cool tone colorful shades with a few multichromes.
Before you invest in a revive product, maybe consider trying eyedrops/saline solution, or Inglot Duraline is very good if they still make it! I’ve had mine for years and it’s still going strong
the laura mercier eyeshadow sticks dont have enough oomf for me so i usually use them as a base lol. but by themselves i think my oily lids ate them UP, ive tried the shimmer and matte ones :/
I can already tell that will be the case for me. I swatched the new glossier ones and feel the same, I was able to wipe them off my hand without any effort.
I don’t like the packaging designs from Doodles by the Bunny. It all looks like clip art and like an inexperienced graphic designer created it. But I love the color stories she puts together. Even if I might not wear all those colors myself they are still beautiful. As time has passed, I realized that I don’t like the Gourmande Girls mattes. The don’t blend out well and the darker colors can be patchy. I used Spooked for Dia De Los Muertos. I had to get my Dominique Transitions palette to attempt to blend out the edges and cover up the patchiness of the darker shades. Also one of the shimmers in that palette turned to mush after only 6 months. I feel like the only reason sigma eyeshadow is so hyped is because they do collabs with everyone and their mama. Plus they have affiliate codes and always have brand trips. I feel like if those same eyeshadows were in an urban decay or morphe palette many would be talking about how the formula isn’t that great.
I don't like them either, I know others do and if the products inside work well I will use it, but I don't personally like the aesthetic. I haven't had any issues with their mattes, but I don't think I have used any since January which is why I am passing these along. I do like the sigma mattes, and I think they make nice color stories, I am just so particular about shimmers. I have found my favorites are generally not the same as most lol
I am slowly watching this bit by bit. Sydney Grace has an amazing matte formula, but I despise their shimmers so much. If you find any brands/palettes with a similar formula, please let me know so that I can avoid them 😂 I love BlendyBunny mattes, but most of their palettes have a row of incredibly white-based pastels, which ruins it for me. I got the Wildstar palette in the sale for around €45 and I really love it. Really nice matte formula too - I would be interested to see some more mattes in future palettes. Sometimes I feel like 'the matte guy', but I will rarely use a palette if the mattes are no use to me.
I’m glad I’m not the only one who hates their shimmer formula lol I might try another blend palette in the future and see if they changed the formula but I don’t like most of their color schemes. I would love more Mattes from Isamaya
@QueerBones I rarely declutter indie single shadows because I am very picky due to living in a lower income country. Only Sydney Grace, Pastel Roses UK (went mouldy), and a couple of Glam Shop duds I have ever decluttered. I honestly do not think you would find newer BB mattes perceptibly different from Blends palette. You are far better sticking to Viseart or Esum. I use BB to fill the niche of pastels and brights in colours notoriously difficult to formulate.
Declutter and swatch video? 😭 Thank you so much. I know you’re not trying to enable but I see some things that peaked my interest. You are better off with inglot old school mixing medium. It will last forever.
I think so yes. I don’t think I’d buy super cheap items from random sites but a lot of international manufacturers work in China. I wouldn’t buy cheap things from random sites from any country though. There are some amazing Chinese brands out there.
I didn’t buy golden palette. I have the original gold and I like that color story better. The golden has too much yellow gold in it which I don’t like.
Love this Eyeshadow Anthology for Olives.
That’s a great way to phrase it!

I don’t normally want people falling asleep to my videos but I definitely understand for a long chill video. I’ve done it too lol
To be fair I use makeup RUclips as a sleep aid 😂 Lauren's videos also do me in
