- Recently my Osmo Action 2 was destroyed, and now I'm wondering if I should upgrade to the DJI Osmo Action 4 or DJI Action 3 as opposed to paying for expensive repairs?
What would you do if you were in my situation?
I’d go for the new DJI action 4 .. I’m getting one myself at some point.. I like the action 2 but it seems a little vulnerable as you’ve experienced.. hope it turns out ok 👍 😊
Thanks for the feedback. I have some difficult choices to make. Appreciate you watching.
Hard choice. I really like my A2 but have thought about the A4. Bought the A3 but returned it 3 different times because of the focus issue. I seen the screen module on B&hfor 128$. A4 though is an all around better camera than the A2 because of the bigger sensor and 10 bit color but for me as a small channel I can't justify the cost just yet. Besides the A2 does everything that I need it to do and paired with the DJI mic and pocket 2 I can do just about everything I want to do.
I hope DJI does the right thing but then again they still have not come clean on the A3 and still say the firmware fix the issue, but it really did not, so it wouldn't hold my breath.
Yeah, they are still communicating with me but they are not committing to replace it. They want me to send it in so they can evaluate it. I said "well when I send it in, it's going to be water damaged just like I said...are you going to cover it?" and they haven't given me a solid answer yet. I feel like they are stringing me a long...keep passing me off to different people.
The reality is if they are admitting the 3 had focus issues they aren't going to take the hit on the older 2 when it's not so easy to prove just by looking at the footage.
I just brought a new Osmo Action 2 for $205 with the dual screens from amazon this would be my second one my first one battery died after a year
They should replace it for you as the protection case is a faulty design.
Not your fault.
Thanks, Yeah, I think so too, but apparently they aren't even willing to admit the Action 3 had focus issues...so why would they own this issue? Really annoying

You can try. All you have to do is explain this in the DJI forum, with a link to these Utube Videos.
Also send the same to their help department.
I'm sure they will realise that it isn't fair that their obviously badly designed case caused you this problem.
Your efforts so far are very clear in pointing out this issue. You are actually helping DJI by making this known to them. They should be thankful.
Just try. Then you will find out.
👍
very sutnning job- =)
Ummm...thanks? I guess.
I bought the Osmo Action 3 camera, Camera came with blur, technical assistance does not want to change it. Advice, don't buy
Darn right! I'm getting the run around as well.
