After spamming all day yesterday ive come to the conclusion were on a timer for gammas. Once geared folks no longer tneed them 4ish weeks and counting they will become infinately harder. They can already be a pain but once geared folks no longer need them, yikes.
Alts might still be around but the pain of people overestimating what they can pull at once or disregarding the undergeared healer will come with them.
Is it just me or anyone else is surprised that they left the same loot table from Beta into Gamma dungeons? I also have the feeling that Gammas are harder than the new ICC dungeons with worse drop loot.
one advice that helped me a lot: - between lvls 71 & 79, spam BGs, during weekends, helps with XP gains a lot. It also gives good honor for a few pcs at lvl 80 & be ready faster for HC dungeons
It's actually easier then ever to gear up, getting over 240ilvl doesn't take to long. This xpac is so chill once you have an alt army with every profession and multiple geared chars such a quality of life 😂
I'd like to add a couple of cautionary aspects to this video. 1) In my experience, people WILL look at your gear going into 25 man ICC pugs, not just your GS. Especially if you are under performing even by a little bit since ICC is such a personal responsibility raid. Just keep that in mind if you plan to get a lot of PVP gear and go into ICC as some classes and roles don't perform well in PvE content with mostly PvP gear. 2) I would be careful about the PvP gear route if you're trying to do Gammas as a healer. This is highly class based mind you, but some healing classes don't really do well in PvE content with just pvp gear. As long as you can do it, go for it. Just be aware. 3) Make sure you KNOW how to play your class and have basic consumables to go fast before going into gammas in LFD. People are very willing to kick low GS players, or crappy players that are under performing. Since LFD doesn't deal with lockouts, and you need to kill every boss to be efficient, groups are going fast and don't care what you need or want. Obviously, these are just my experiences so take them with a grain of salt.
its not just in gamma dungeons, people being ridiculous in regular dungeons as well. ran a normal forge of souls and had a healer flip out, crying about the groups "low gearscore", and immediately bailed. we four manned it with no healer all the way to the final boss when the RDF paired us with a new healer. I had the highest GS with 3900, the tank was like 2700
@@d0k0night I mean, I still believe it. Normal dungeons are stupid easy. Greens and blues are totally enough for that. If your dps players offheal a bit and you top off mana and HP after every pull, you can often make do without a healer.
The random dungeon finder in Beta : 12 in a row, I join a group, they're already on the second or third group, they're low gear, I'm like "mokay". We wipe, 2 people leave saying they've had enough, I'm the last one in the end and I leave ... The tanks don't get the aggro and I often get the aggro back, the healer is spamming 1 spell like regrowth, there's 4500gs people that have less dps than me when I was 3900 lmao It's a shit show
Although I really like the RDF it has definitely come with pains. The minimum ilvl requirement is just too low for Gamma. I've been in groups with people who barely meet the requirements and tanks that can't hold threat, healers that can't keep people up through the damage, and dps that can't beat enrage timers and it's just a miserable wipefest. The way to get gear is to progress through the different difficulties. Trying to jump in at the hardest without doing any of the easier dungeons first and without knowing any of the mechanics just makes life worse for everyone involved
Yeah pvp gear is definetely the best route. I got a hunter that i havent played in a couple months. He dinged 80 with 75k honour and bought full deadly, and is sitting at 213 ilvl (4268 gs). Now with access to furious gear for that same price, and wrathful/relentless offpieces... you could prolly hit 5k if you bought the highest available honour pieces
The ilvl requirements are slightly too low for me, had many people just die over and over (doesn't help when they ignore mechanics) so it's quite frustrating as a high geared person to essentially carry people through it.. needs tweaking but otherwise it's a nice change!
Loving RDF. I have 3 80s and I only pug since my guild collapsed during P2. Even with minimal play time gearing then hasn’t been too bad, togc is lovely and short. I’ll miss that. Finally decided to level my prot pala 75-80. I thought as a tank my queue would insta pop. Nope, 7:30pm ST 55 minutes in queue on a high pop server like Arugal! Still love it
Please for the love of god don’t do this. Convincing people to trick others about the value of their character probably isn’t best idea. It takes the same or close to the same amount of time to get PVE gear as it does to farm PVP. Now you’ve wasted time getting gear that is awful for PVE. Raid leaders are either going to be very mad that you tricked them or kick you altogether. There are countless ways to gear up quickly with good PVE gear now, just do that. Love your videos, Scotty.. but this one ain’t it.
Gearscore is basically like credit score and RFD is kinda nice because it circumvents that. Sure, it's less social than the old system but at this point with the current player base, I'll take it. I basically started at 3.7k gearscore at the beginning of phase 4 so I have lots of catching up to do.
in rdf higher gearscore for dps usually means more dps but with healers higher gearscore usually means lower healing, like they are above really healing when the grp actually takes some dmg :
OR people are tunneling and not doing the dungeon mechanics taking massive damage with no attempts to correct it. Then yeah, I won't heal you and enjoy your repair bill.
Really wish all the YTers would stop recommending people go the "easy route" to get gear from pvp. As others have said above, the stat budget is terrible. You might be able to queue but if your damage is abysmal compared to someone with a lower score it will cause problems. Even worse if you're griefing the group as tank or healer, you're going to wipe multiple times and then get kicked when the group looks at your gear. The real answer is not to be lazy, work for your gear. Get a couple boe items, run some normals or regular heroics and then move up. The item level requirements are stupidly low, just do your best and do the mechanics. Most people won't care if you aren't top of the meters if you aren't wiping the group. You can run dungeons endlessly until you have real raid ready gear.
I’ve had incredibly negative experiences in gamma dungeons. People are hyper toxic, kick people out without any explanation, or quit at a moments notice.
If you ninja loot or need off-spec If you don't do mechanics even after they've been explained If you're under-geared doing pve content with pvp gear If you pull when you're not supposed to If you don't play your class properly You WILL be kicked I and many others share this sentiment Pull your own weight and work with the group
You assume that people give you more than 3 seconds to exist in dungeons. My experience with RDF before I just gave up with it was simple. Join, load in, get booted within 3-5 seconds, have a 30 minute leave timer.@@WeAreOutOfWeed13

I definatel dissagree with the PVP gear and going in raids, maybe you can do some Gama or Beta get in a group and they carry you, but just because u have 245 ilvl doesnt mean you are going to perform nearly an close to. Remember pvp gear is with increased stamina and resilience which basically means you are losing a lot of stats while still having the GS for it. That would be seen the second someone inspect you when the have to SR some item or if the leader has more then 1 brain cell. You are waiting your time and other peoples time for doing this. Spam the dungeons get trinkets, get weapons and transfer the PVP gear in to PVE gear, there is no Cap of how many you can do so it all depends on your available time. Dont be mad that the kick you from 10 TOGC when you are half PVP.
Is there a furious gladiator for honor atm? Could not find any... relentless / wrathful and 1 vendor with deadly / hateful and savage but none with furious...
The inspection of your gear is only partially true. If people see that you have a decent GS but your dps is horrible - and that's indicated when things are taking far longer than they should, or you're having trouble on a boss you shouldn't. Then people will start looking and see that you're 4.5k GS but pulling barely 3k dps(yes I've witnessed this). This shouldn't really be an issue in most gamma dungeons but soon as you hit Halls of Reflection, this is where you start seeing problems if you don't have 3 geared people to carry the other two.
lol pvp gear. had a healer in full pvp set trying to heal a gamma, lets just say everyone died and he got a quick boot after an inspect. pvp is for pvp, keep it out of the dungeons.
Is it just me or are the wait times for RDF really long? I play horde faralina which is a packed horde server and the queue is 10-15 m I usually have to make my own group I have never had the RDF find me a grp
What should I do with my Triumph Emblems ? There's no point ? Should I just buy with Sidereal Essence and do whatever with the Triump/Hero/Valor/Conquest ?
As a tank in 5200 gs I’m getting matched up with a lot of 5400+ gs dps speed runners. I’m struggling to keep up with them lmao. It’s to the point they are pulling without me and I have to pull off them.
Idk what it’s like for other tanks but on my warrior I put on as much dps gear as I can without losing defence cap (mostly trinkets and a weapon) and I use dps consumables, threat is generally never an issue. Also your probably using it but make your clicking the tank buff every instance the 2k extra damage every block dodge or parry is huge I managed to pull 55k dps on a pull in hos lol.
@@OMGsJski haha once you got the buff going you’ll have a blast, also dps that pull ahead if they continue to do it I just let them die teach em a lesson.
my response to those sweaty neckbeards is if you want 5k GS for every party member, form the group up manually then queue, don't make things harder for the ones who actually need gear from those dungeons. i've also seen people kicking pvp geared people just FYI. my absolute favorite are the stories about low geared tank or healer worried the dungeon will take longer. because clearly the wait time for a tank is less than the extra time it MIGHT have taken if you stuck with the current tank. those dummies won't know though because sometimes it's happening before they even let the tank have a chance. and i don't want to hear "not pulling their weight". my guild has people at 3900-5400 GS doing these and so far the lowest GS that allowed us to queue was like 4300 or something. they did fine. it was a tank. our dps are all around 5200+ and all we had to do was give them a headstart, run didn't take much longer at all.
Wiping once is enough to waste everyone's time, come to my group with pvp gear and you won't even get a hello in, healers need to click one button for heal and one for debuff, if they can't do that then they are deadweight that needs to think how to carry themselves before thinking of leeching
What about when 4.4gs in a gamma dungeon and get kicked for being too low gs by gatekeepers and now have a 30 min debuff? What a shit system. I'm certain no one at blizzard plays their own games as they should understand player behaviour now after 20 years
All the groups I’ve been in for 3 days strait immediately kick anyone below 5.2k and to be honest I don’t blame the the gammas can take a long time with bad dps or a slow tank; both get the insta boot
That's why I never solo queue. I still fill my grp with ppl on my server or high ilvl from group finder on my main. Had 3 dps all over 5400gs and we got a holy pally who queued as tank in 4000something gs mixed bag gear. We juggled threat on every mob/boss. Learned my lesson from that one.
The RDF so far is so bad. Me: 5276 tank, Dps: 5647 Lock Dps: 4,7k Mage Dps: 4,8k Shadow Priest Heal: 4,5k shammy. Like how the hell do you even group up shit like this? The bosses took so long to kill because the mage and Priest were doing shit damage. Not to mention, they changed LFD in a way, that you cant even see other ppl queued up for dungeons....Either you go Random, or you go specific....In specific, you only see the groups waiting, but you cant see what other ppl are searching for the same dungeon.
Any decent Raid leader is going to check for PVP gear, gems 💎 and enchants. Just play the game. Put the same work in that the people you wish to raid with did.
@@d0k0night i only have 1 level 80 on this realm, i got no help from guild. but it is not a scratch realm, but WTF does that even mean? there are no scratch realms right now, nice argument lol
@@d0k0night PVP gear requires no help from anyone..I have a DK that's been 80 for a week with a 5.2gs just from WG and AV. This weekend is AV weekend don't miss out.
pvp gear is pretty bad because it uses up most of its stat budget for resilience which doesnt do anything. having an item that doesnt have resilience is better just because it has more stats overall
My advice if your a tank? Just run regular heroics till you got all the 245 pieces do NOT buy boe in AH. Then do just enough to betas to get gear for gamma and bingo.
Tbh. I host pugs and have No prob people being “low” if its reasonable still. But i Will ansolutely kick people if They try to cheese the ilvl with pvp gear. But 3800 is fine for beta. 4200-4500 is fine for gamma. Totc 10/25 normal around 4K is fine. But demanding 5500 for gamma is nuts and people know it.
@@TigreDemon Yea i know. Its crazy. People are in general asking for to High g’s. Sadly g’s and skill dont match. Stopped counting on how many people with near full bis who cant so shit or not bothered to do anything.
Ngl this videos fallout has been cancerous to deal with. Many people have been kicked for low gs or pvp cheesing because now people are hyper aware of it and any slack on dps or healing or tanking gets an instant gear check. You just kinda sent them into the blender with a promise of candy my dude. Just makes the experience as a tank like 5x as hard as it needs to be. There are dps requirements on some of these dungeons and these newb pvp cheesers 99/100 times don't know how to play their class or do proper dps rotations....ect.
Abit of a unpopular take on all of this and I will probably get hate, but here goes. There is a reason why gatekeeping exists. I don't want a 3,9k GS tank pulling 1 mob at a time in my Gamma dungeons. I want to obliterate that dungeon so we can move on to the next. I don't have time for your life story and how new you are to the game. There are people, including me that have several characters that we need to run through all of these dungeons and it's going to take a big chunk of time out of the day to do so, I have limited time after work so I want to get this done ASAP. Having people joining with the MINIMUM gs and being made out of paper or doing TBC damage in gamma dungeons isn't gonna sit with me and we are going to boot you out. If you are LOW geared, start low and gear your way up. Don't expect to get boosted in gammas by other people. Pull your damn weight. I don't play this game to sit in Utgarde Keep for 45 minutes telling you to hurry up to pull and then you keep dying to Ice patches on the floor. That's not my game. Start with the lower heroics, farm some gold and get AH items that ACTUALLY helps your character and not just the ilvl boost. Or, better, join a guild that shares the same values as you and group up for World tours.
They really need to clarify whether wrath servers will be staying or not. It’s such a cunt move keeping that info from the players. I had a lot of hope but as we get closer to wraths end I’m starting to feel more like they’ll give it the same treatment as tbc. Which if that’s the case I’d have no interest in playing another second of wrath

oh yea completely forgot about that buff. I still didn’t let anyone die but still the dps are so impatient I almost left a couple because of that.
@@OMGsJski haha once you got the buff going you’ll have a blast, also dps that pull ahead if they continue to do it I just let them die teach em a lesson.
@@Frogget666 ahaha same bro that shit proc’s all the time
Forget my question, u magically appered in the video to answer it 😀
my response to those sweaty neckbeards is if you want 5k GS for every party member, form the group up manually then queue, don't make things harder for the ones who actually need gear from those dungeons. i've also seen people kicking pvp geared people just FYI.
my absolute favorite are the stories about low geared tank or healer worried the dungeon will take longer. because clearly the wait time for a tank is less than the extra time it MIGHT have taken if you stuck with the current tank. those dummies won't know though because sometimes it's happening before they even let the tank have a chance.
and i don't want to hear "not pulling their weight". my guild has people at 3900-5400 GS doing these and so far the lowest GS that allowed us to queue was like 4300 or something. they did fine. it was a tank. our dps are all around 5200+ and all we had to do was give them a headstart, run didn't take much longer at all.
Sounds more like a know nothing zoomer move than a neckbeard move to me.
Wiping once is enough to waste everyone's time, come to my group with pvp gear and you won't even get a hello in, healers need to click one button for heal and one for debuff, if they can't do that then they are deadweight that needs to think how to carry themselves before thinking of leeching
Ive been gone since January. Are servers populat
Watching in CC be like "who's Ralph?"
What about when 4.4gs in a gamma dungeon and get kicked for being too low gs by gatekeepers and now have a 30 min debuff? What a shit system. I'm certain no one at blizzard plays their own games as they should understand player behaviour now after 20 years
Had a healer almost kicked because the tank ran ahead after the healer called for a mana break. People are douchebags.
Okay but why is Gamma not dropping 232 gear? I’ve ran so many and nothing above the beta 225 gear
Gamma is just beta loot with scourge stones on each boss
You play on Mankrik! I am super excited to know that I may have passed you in org or dal lol
All the groups I’ve been in for 3 days strait immediately kick anyone below 5.2k and to be honest I don’t blame the the gammas can take a long time with bad dps or a slow tank; both get the insta boot
Where are the cataclysm class change videos!?
To watch this video please link achievement to show you've already watched the video
Love the hat. Go blazers 🙌🏽
Funny how "bed video" have better sound quality :D
Hi it's me from the future hahah :D
To get into a raid you have to have already done the raid and got all the gear. simple.
I cannot find the 238 ilvl anymore... Did they remove it ?
Its in the video, moved to Area 52
Its almost like not having rdf was really bad
The RDF so far is so bad.
Me: 5276 tank,
Dps: 5647 Lock
Dps: 4,7k Mage
Dps: 4,8k Shadow Priest
Heal: 4,5k shammy.
Don't know why, I have a full raid geared boomy (5.1k GS), guess how he got there? Maybe heals and tank are gimped in pvp gear but not dps.
I was able to go from like 150ilvl to 220 in 2 days so far :D
Good for you, now do it from scratch on a realm where you have no characters and no guild to help you
@@d0k0night i only have 1 level 80 on this realm, i got no help from guild. but it is not a scratch realm, but WTF does that even mean? there are no scratch realms right now, nice argument lol
Tanks can mix the 238 pvp set wth tanking rings, back etc. Resiliense lowers the crit chance for mobs as well.
I took all next week off brother to get some gaming done and I didn't even tell my gf😆😆😆😆
People will burn out on ICC in a few months just like they did in OG wotlk.
Gamma is a piss take easy.... seems way easy compared the other ones
Whoops. Shoulda finished the video 😂
Just find a duo and you cannot be kicked. Problem solved )
My advice if your a tank? Just run regular heroics till you got all the 245 pieces do NOT buy boe in AH. Then do just enough to betas to get gear for gamma and bingo.
what if you cant even get into heroics?
You just got to queue for rdf heroics you will get in easy as a tank
Todays wotlk has nothing to do with wotlk I remember. Community is like 10x worse.
"Fast" is the word that ruined WoW and RP games in general...just sayin'
What? You're actually promoting "manipulating" ilvl bars?
So many people asking 5k2 GS lmao
@@TigreDemon Yea i know. Its crazy. People are in general asking for to High g’s.
Sadly g’s and skill dont match.
Stopped counting on how many people with near full bis who cant so shit or not bothered to do anything.
@@kaizersmoeller Seen people with 4k5 with worse dps than me at 3k2 ...
Now I'm 4k and it's even worse somehow
Then find a guild or premade group
@@SawsePapi that’s what all of us geared tanks have been doing, too many people with low gear and no brains
