Read Jeremiah 10:2-4 it talks about how God says do not celebrate tradition and festivals then gives a description of one that sounds Alot like Christmas traditions! Then read Colossians 2:16
Here is an easy way to know celebrating Christmas is wrong...if Jesus would have instructed us to do it, almost no one would. Most Christians want to worship they way they see fit versus the way they are instructed to by God. Jesus does tell us not to follow man's traditions of worship. Jesus has never been the "reason for the season"
Any Christian who wants to know if celebrating Christmas is okay, should just read the word of God for the answer. Jeremiah 10:2 Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. 10:3 For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. 10:4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.
@@KC-pw4nn You are comparing a pagan tradition, with a commemorative tradition. Traditions aren't evil, it is the type of tradition that's practiced which makes it evil. 2 Thessalonians 2:15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.
I still don't understand why people want to put Jesus in Christmas when he was never part of it and say it's okay to celebrate if only you are observing his birth .Foolishness it's still not biblical.
That was the worse reason I have ever heard to celebrate a pagan holiday, it’s like me saying I should commit a crime to be able to go and give the gospel to criminals in jail. We don’t need Christmas to share the gospel, our daily lives should be a witness of the gospel, any ways most people don’t even spread the gospel on Christmas so it’s pointless to say we “could” use Christmas as a tool.
Deborah E we are not Israel Look at verse 2 who is being spoken to. We are not under the law. We are under grace. You need to use the NT not the OT. Worship is done in how we live and in that we are not forbidden to celebrate the birth of Christ.
@John Smith - Anyone who has accepted Jesus is now part of Israel. We have been grafted in. The “OT” and “NT” Bible separation is both unbiblical and part of the dispensationalism movement. “We are not under law”. We are not under the law of sin and death which is one of many “laws”. What is sin?
This is a very sad answer to this question. How can you admit that something is pagan and then turned around and say "Well that's not what it means to me." What kind of an arguement is that? That's like people that say they have their own truth. We can't have our own truth and we can't change what pagan symbols mean. Did that kind of thinking work for the Israelites when they made the golden calf? No , God had them killed. The only thing that matters is how God feels about pagan practices. He hates them!
by far the most underrated comment in this video. Too bad all these false converts in mainstream christianity won't even get to read this much less accept it for what it is. Well at least you are guaranteed a peaceful heaven when the time comes. These fakers would finally stop being a nuisance.
Practically every thing around us has pagan origins. But if we give thanks to God its perfectly fine. Before pagans had these things God had them first. Its like comparing fornication to marital sex.
Origins don't matter. What matters is how it's covered up so that you could take part in it no matter how vile it started out. Oh and it doesn't matter what God thinks about any of this stuff concerning his son. Especially if it originated with Satan. It's like the cup of bleach🥤. It doesn't matter if it has bleach in it, as long as I add some juice and make it look nice, I'll drink it. ☠️☠️☠️
I think he means because our culture recognizes Christmas as a Christian Holliday, there is ample opportunity to weave the gospel into everything we do and say, getting the attention of the world on to Christ.
Christmas was made up by Roman Catholics to bring in and keep unbelievers. Apostle Paul wrote to church of Corinth: " I want to know nothing except Jesus Christ and Him crucified". Also, it does not matter with the world thinks.
ak1986 Thats an interesting fact, I didn’t know that. I heard that it was in tandem with pagan holidays to either create some peace or combine it all into one idea. It doesn’t matter what the world thinks in terms of appeasing them over Yahweh but in terms of influencing the people around us and possibly even culture at large to hear and take the gospel seriously, what the world thinks can matter.
I have some videos on this topic on my channel, just type in Christmas in search to understand why man made tradition which was created by Roman Catholics should not be celebrated nor used by Christians.
This whole question regards whether we, as Christians or followers of Christ want to actually follow Him and His Apostles or do our own thing. That " doing our own thing" got us into lots of trouble as far back as the Garden , and the "golden calf incident" in the wilderness. Nowhere in God's word does it mention having a celebration of Christ's birth. And if it did, wouldn't Jesus have told us the date (time of the year) to celebrate it? We should probably stick to the Holy Days the Father specified in Leviticus. That way we are at least being obedient. (Note that in Leviticus 23 God specifies they are His days, not just for Israel, but for "His people"). We , here , choose to be " obedient Christians and forego any "man-made" holidays.
16 Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath. 17 These are a shadow of the things to come, but the substance belongs to Christ. Colossians 2:16-17
I agree with what you are saying. We will ALL have to stand before the Lord and give an account of our lives, what we did and believed. I feel that celebrating these holidays is like having one foot in and one foot out for myself, for my conviction. I personally can't reconcile it within my spirit to celebrate pagan holidays and try to make them seem Christian. Christmas, Halloween even the pagan Easter that everyone just goes along with, is this okay? Once you know the truth, you know. How can I continue to celebrate holidays that are so steeped in witchcraft, satanism, and the occult, originally? I can't..Other family members who are Christian but are still celebrating these holidays make me feel like I am ruining everything because I want to minimize my participation in these traditions of men. But for the sake of the grandkids, and to make it "happy" for everyone, I feel required to participate. I love my grandkids as any grandparent does but I am so tired of having to explain myself and then get push back and anger from my adult children for it. WHY the anger? I do not understand. I AM accountable to God, and I cannot go along with the traditions anymore. My relationship with my heavenly Father and to be within his will is more important to me than any other thing. I don't want to hurt anyones feelings but they COULD try to understand my position more as well I feel. They just aren't at the same place in their walk with the Lord as I am at this time. Why the sharp judgement of my conviction?
@@reneemoriconi7003 This is what I was taught recently because I was struggling with the same thing. Read Romans 14 and Colossians 2. These chapters seem to be talking about the celebration of holiday's. Romans 14 seems to be saying that as long as we are celebrating in honor of the Lord it's ok. With Christmas we are celebrating the birth of Christ, the second person's in the Trinity and the incarnation of God into flesh. All the santa claus stuff is obviously a distraction from that. Same thing with Easter. We celebrate the resurrection of Christ. All the Easter Bunny and egg hunting stuff is a distraction from that. So yes on one hand Easter Bunny and Santa Claus aren't real and pagan but it comes down to the context of what you are celebrating. I'm fairly confident that if I'm celebrating in honor of the Lord and not participating in all the other stuff then it's probably okay. Worshiping a false idol is not something that you can do on accident. It's a willful act to deny Christ and worship a false god offering prayers, sacrifices, and usually involves erecting a statue. I don't know if that helps.
God bless all who follow GOD above man and have broken free from the Christmas lie. Choose today whom you truly serve. To God alone be all glory, honour and praise. AMEN!
I am sorry to hear the old argument of an "opportunity for the Gospel". What about truth? Many of those who are lost know the truth, that this "holy-day" we call Christmas is not based in truth but a shame and a lie and has it roots in Pagan worship. So how are they to believe your witness of the Truth of Jesus Christ when they see you celebrate a lie?
if its wrong to celebrate xmas because some pagans celebrated their own things 1000s of years ago, that most people don't even know about. What about having a cat or eating corn, or wearing jewelry or gold or even covering your mouth when you yawn and the list of pagan things goes on and on like Monday to Sunday. Why would we give the victory to the adversary. I believe the living God, you know the one that controls the universe is victorious. And its also early Christians in 202ad who started xmas the Roman copied the Christian's in AD274 and they have good reason for picking dec 25. Christ died around March 25 this fulfilling the Jewish doctrine of the integral age. And it shows the light of the world coming in on the darkest day of mankind. And isn't God the master of turning bad into. Look at abraham, he didn't wait for the son promised and had Ishmael......kinda disobeyed God but God still made a great nation out of Ishmael......and we go a few generations forward to Joseph and his coat of many colors and his brothers throw him in a pit and who comes along?..... the Ishmaelites, Ishmaels descendants, and Joseph is saved and goes on to save many from starvation. And if God can work people's disobedient mistakes even through generations. Its obvious God does the same thing with xmas. People did horrible things on dec 25, but now we do acts of love on dec 25. So I'd say its safe to say God took his day back because it always was the day the lord made. And we fulfill the proficy of Luke 2:10 I bring Good tidings of great joy to which will be to all people. I don't know about you but there something about xmas time. It has a vibe that no other day has because they are celebrating in heaven too, as joy is brought to ALL people those in heaven as well.
Kevin, that is a very good question. So here is what we know for certain 1. It is a tradition 2. It is a tradition of man not mentioned in the bible or ordained as a Holy Convocation or feast 3. Jesus himself warned us about traditions of men and how dangerous to our spiritual health they could be. So my opinion if to celebrate or not is: if you do at very least be careful about it especially in the context of worship because Christ warned us to and I trust his word. Peace
@@davidearl-graef4287 I think the traditions christ was probably talking about is the tradition of trying to earn salvation through our own works, and not faith in christ.
@@kevinisbell1867 That we are saved by faith and not works is certainly true but that is doctrine. Christ did not specify which "traditions" he was referring to. He stated traditions of men and that I think is all inclusive meaning any tradition of man most of which in the church are traced back to Constantine with the exception of Communion which Christ ordained himself. He did not even specify or venerate a special day or Holy day for that, only when we did it to do it in remembrance of him. Even the word Holiday as in "Holiday tradition" is derived from Holy-day. So if we do not know that Christ was born on Christmas, what is Holy ( meaning to be set apart or venerated ) about it? Peace
@@davidearl-graef4287 I always referred to holidays as like hollow like as in free day from the ordinary I never looked at holiday as holy. But it's good to see a new point of view. But I look at 1 Corinthians 9 19-23 and also Roman's 12 : 16 and the general nature of Christ and the general principle of Roman's 14. And whether the birth of christ is dec 25 nobody really knows. I do know early Christians had good reason for picking dec 25 1 was to fulfill the Jewish doctrine of the integral age. And another was the light of the world comes into the darkness of the world. The early Christians may have also picked this date to help sway pagans to christianity. But that kinda lines up with Corinthians 9 19-23 .Some say because the shepherds were in the field and it be too cold that time of year. Maybe.... but I live in Saskatchewan and I have seen no snow and nice weather right up to dec 25 its possible and we know with God anything is possible. But the bible also says if you feel in your heart your doing something wrong it is a sin. I just cant get there with xmas, I see it as a day God has reclaimed as his.
God never wanted us to celebrate Him in the ways of GENTILES. Is that not what we do? Let's look back when the Israelites were struck down when they tried to worship God in THEIR ways and traditions. God was furious. Do we not hold onto human traditions where God told us to forsake those ways? I'm tired of Christians disregarding scripture when it comes to holidays. December 25th is the birthday of pagan son gods. The fact that the Catholic church "adopted" this day to celebrate Jesus is BLASPHEMOUS. Let's try to recognize that please. That's a huge problem. If we were so worried about acknowledging Jesus's birth let's do that EVERYDAY!
John Schum Think about it though, Christmas trees are Babylonian tradition. From the blood of Nimrod, an “evergreen” tree grew. Every year after his death (and the birth of Tammuz- his son, the sun god’s son. Sound familiar?) the Babylonians decorate trees to honor him (and then Norse mythology followed after and that’s where Santa Clause comes from). But every year what do we do? We set up a tree and decorate it. That is an IDOL to NIMROD. We have been fooled into leaving gentile idols in our homes, teaching our children that Santa will come bring them gifts like Odin did in Norse mythology. All around us is gentile traditions that we so foolishly call Jesus’s birthday. Which is a blatant lie. This is very sinful. Yet Christians are out here every year believing it’s Jesus’s birthday when that is a lie, it’s human TRADITION we are following, that God asked us to forsake because it made him ANGRY ( Deuteronomy 12:31-32) Mark 7:7-8 “They worship me in vain; their teachings are merely human rules. You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to human traditions” There you have it
John Schum I did! I told my family a WEEK ago that I am not opening presents on Christmas, I’m not doing anything to “celebrate the holiday”. And I gave them SCRIPTURE! Guess what they called me? Self-righteous, that I can never change their minds! That I have no right, that I follow a false preacher. They blatantly denied scripture and ‘I’ was at fault? But I am proud of myself and I know God will be pleased with me. My family decided not to come for Christmas as a result of trying to save their souls. That’s okay, because where there is the Word, there is anger and conflict because people HATE truth. They can’t wrap their minds around the fact that they have been wrong all along. I was like “Where in scripture does it say when Jesus was born and that we should worship him by setting up trees, opening presents and having a feast?” I’ll wait. In fact the Bible speaks firmly AGAINST it. But I’m in the wrong? But that’s okay. If a few relationships are fractured in Gods name then let that be so. My relationship with God will last far longer. My eternal life will last much longer. I refuse to compromise my soul for a tradition 🤷🏽♀️ Simple as that. I recommend (without authority) that you do what you think God will be pleased with. Because we serve God not man. And do it with love and scripture brother. If people don’t understand, give them the Word. We must reach the lost. It’s a lesson I’m learning
The only reason why most " Christians " celebrate Christmas is it a beautiful fun holiday. You receive gifts and give gifts. It's also great marketing and business for profits. Christmas is a pagan celebration it has nothing do with God or Jesus.
1. God was clearly enraged when the Israelites adopted the festivals/worship from the other cultures in the area. Christmas is just that: worshipping God in a pagan way. 2. Nowhere in the Bible does it say we should celebrate Jesus' birth. 3. If we know Christ was not born in December and that Christmas was created so that pagans in Rome could go on celebrating their Saturnalia festival, why do Christians celebrate Christmas?
amen Ikke, its because the sheep follow along with what their pastors tell them and dont look into things for themselves. I pray more believers will read the bible for themselves and research church history. I do believe there is a great awakening happening right now to YAHUAS truth ,YAH is helping people to see who WANT to know HIS truth
So no to Christmas? I always felt like after Jesus things had different meanings. I like celebrating Jesus, I don't care about Santa or modern things. I wanna be a good Christian but I don't know....isn't it an opportunity to celebrate Jesus? To have a new meaning
first and foremost - Jesus Christ peace be upon him wasn't born on 25th dec. there is no such thing in the Bible. but when Jesus Christ was born there were shepherds with sheeps where out and the palm tree blooms. such climate is not winter. Christmas is the darkest day of the year where sacrifices of children are taken to devil and many pegan rituals are performed. the guy who people calls santa clause aka saint nicholas is not a gud guy. he is known as krampus(the devil) in europe and australia as he kidnaps children at that day with chains and punish them . on this day parents wont let there child out .santa clause rides on a sledge with red dress representing blood but instead of raindeers its large flying pythons. the christmas tree also does a good role as it the only tree that has leves in winter to represent satan's undead tree. i am not makig this thing up, u can search this in google. and now do u thing its good to celebrate christmas?also a fact when u rearrange santa it becomes satan
@@sainulabidhka5624 I never knew that...Krampus is st nick? It felt like such a loving holiday in my home, with family celebrating Christ. My family arent as Christian as me and so Christmas was always the one day a year we got to go to church together and celebrate God. I had no idea it was that bad. Thank you for your comment though 🙏 I appreciate it :) I take it you don't celebrate Christmas either?
@@Anna-sd5gt after knowing the truth I haven't celebrated Christmas either or willing to. Pray to God for forgiveness instead of getting involved in these types of misconceptions. May God show humanity the right way.
Don’t do it on Christmas or during the winter solstice. EVERY SINGLE DROP of energy you and your family put into Christmas festivities is highjacked and put into paganism/occult rituals that go down during the winter solstice. You’re literally giving yourself to Satan, even though it’s totally indirectly and I know it’s in innocence. You can celebrate Christ, you can celebrate Christ everyday, which we should. We shouldn’t need Christmas to celebrate Christ. We shouldn’t put money and time into paganism rituals and that’s all “Christmas” is. The fact that churches will have Santa or Christmas plays is awfully close to blasphemy imo.
I work in retail and when customers say "merry Christmas" I respond, "Grace and peace to you". Most just look annoyed, wondering what peace has to do with it...I've had 2 people out of 20 say, "Oh, that's very nice. Thank you" once I explained it's from 2 Peter 1:2....where Peter is wishing Grace and ability for people to actually grow in knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus.
In all cases, follow the Word of YHWH and not the doctrine & tradition of men. They push aside the feasts of YHWH (Lev 23) and add in their festival of mixed darkness/light, which is an abomination to YHWH. The golden calf was to "honor" YHWH, as Aaron says that "the next day would be a feast unto YHWH"... Exodus 32:5. How did that play out? Again, Isaiah 1:10-20 does not bode well for mixing that which is Holy (set apart) and the ways of the world. For a large portion of the world celebrates christ-mass and cares nothing for our Messiah. I am not condemning the desire to celebrate the Messiah, but in all my (almost) 55 years this celebration has NEVER been centered around Him, it is about US. Me, me, me and gimme gimme gimme...The only time His name is mentioned is when the chow starts (if then). Perhaps consideration should be given to He who has defined how He wants to be worshiped and not base it on the cyclic failures of mankind (Eccl 1:9, 3:15). Shalom Aleichem / Peace be to you May the Elohim of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob bless and keep you in all your ways
Lord Jesus said to you if you want to enter into life, obey the laws and commandments of God, and they are all written in the Books of Moses. He made it clear to all of us our faith in Him will not save us if our way of life is based on paganism. Celebrating birthday, Christmas or any worldly celebration is disobedience towards the Lord God of Israel and His Son Lord Jesus. Christmas celebration came from pagan. It was not then called xmas. Deceivers added the name of Christ onto it to deceive the ignorant ones. Birthday celebration came from king herod who killed John the Baptist. Please save your soul and others by living and teaching holy life which the Lord God commanded to the Jews. Celebrating birthday or xmas is a moment of pleasure, but it is not worth if it is disobedience towards the Lord God of Israel and His Son Lord Jesus. The Law of Moses is the way of life in Heaven; He brought it on earth to teach the children of Israel that it is the way that they must live by in order to be a part of His Kingdom. Then He appointed them, Paul and Peter, to teach it to the gentiles. The Lord God also brought His Son Lord Jesus not only to save His people Israel from Hell for trespassing it but also to confirm with them. Lord Jesus live holy life; He did not celebrate anything pagan but Passover and Feast of Tabernacle. Donot allow your religion christian deceive you, they are partial in teaching the words of God. Partiality is disobedience and will surely bring your soul to hell. The words of God said there is no more food, water, medicine, nor a bed to lay your head in hell. Once you enter into it, there is no more way out or redemption for your soul. Read the prophecy below, the Lord Jesus who is the Lord of hosts in the Old Testaments is the One bringing an angel of death as cancer, coronavirus, wild fires, and earthquakes in the world for rejecting His Law. These calamities are a curse that Zechariah prophesied which will destroy everyone who rejected His Law. The Lord Jesus will replace the world of disobedience with His Kingdom; He will remove everyone who has a problem following the way of life that He commanded to the Jews. Be merciful to your soul and the people whom you love. Jeremiah 6:19 Hear, O earth! Behold, I will certainly bring calamity on this people- The fruit of their thoughts, because they have not heeded My words nor My law, but rejected it. Jeremiah 9 Who is the wise man who may understand this? And who is he to whom the mouth of the Lord has spoken, that he may declare it? Why does the land perish and burn up like a wilderness, so that no one can pass through? And the Lord said, “Because they have forsaken My Law which I set before them, and have not obeyed My voice, nor walked according to it," Jeremiah 10 Thus says the Lord: “Do not learn the way of the Gentiles; Do not be dismayed at the signs of heaven, for the Gentiles are dismayed at them. For the customs of the peoples are futile; For one cuts a tree from the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the ax. They decorate it with silver and gold; They fasten it with nails and hammers so that it will not topple. They are upright, like a palm tree, and they cannot speak; They must be carried, because they cannot go by themselves. Do not be afraid of them, for they cannot do evil, nor can they do any good.” The Spirit and the bride, Mount Zion, Heavenly Jerusalen Gabriel
Isaac Riah Jehovah witnesses are a new false gospel. Faith in Christ won’t save you. You just denied Christ. You won’t get saved because you as the Jews think by not celebrating your birthday 🎂 it makes you different? Man made rules . No where in the Bible did God say not too. You guys added it . It all starts with Faith . You have been taught a different Gospel
I celebrate Jesus Christ's every day in my life but not once a year. Many people who celebrated Christmas don't even believe in the sacrifices that Christ did for us to shed his blood for us and paid for the debts of our sins.
The Christmas tree with red and white ornaments represents the human sacrifices hanging on the branches of trees with the blood dripping down in the snow, milk and cookies is a pagan food offering, the “spirit of Christmas” ain’t God’s Holy Spirit, Jesus wasn’t even born Dec 25th and there is so much more it’s just Yule with a different name.Do your research, let them call it x-mas Christ has never been in it! You cannot dine at the table of the lord and dine at the table of demons and god explicitly said not to worship him in pagan ways!
They take their rabbis and monks as lords besides Allah, and the Messiah, son of Mary, though they were ordered to worship but one God, there is no god except He. Exalted is He above that they associate with Him! (31)
Christmas has absolutely NOTHING to do with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! That's Heathenism... Read Jeremiah 10:1-5... Also, Luke 1:26-27 tells us that it was the 6th month that the Angel Gabriel was sent to Mary to let her know that she was going to conceive in her womb and bring forth a son and that she shall call Him Jesus... so you do your math... Stop condoning things that the Bible is against... STOP LYING! anything that contradicts the word of God is of the DEVIL! Why CELEBRATE a LIE? You Pastors need to wake up! 💯 Stand up for our GOD! ✊🏽🙌🏽
For me christmas has everything to do with Jesus because I dont worship the tree or other figures or objects. I take that day as a day to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, and spread cheer in the name of Jesus. How's that bad?
Every time I say to a family member “okay I’ll celebrate Christmas and rejoice in the Messiah with you, on one condition. No decoration, no trees, no secular spin on Christmas. “They refuse. Tradition of men is hard to give up
For millions of people around the world, Christmas is an opportunity to celebrate Jesus birthday. But have you considered whether those who lived closest to Jesus, that is, his apostles and followers, celebrated Christmas? Jesus was a good teacher, and the Bible shows that he gave his followers clear instructions on what he wanted them to do. But it says nowhere that he invited them to celebrate Christmas. Just as a teacher wants students to follow his instructions, Jesus wants his followers to "not go beyond what is written" in the Bible. (1 Corinthians 4: 6)
Jesus Christ peace be upon him is not a God but just a messenger as the rest of messengers. each messenger has been give different miracles thats is done by them through God's will to prove to the people that they r here to show them the correct path to God. The Bible had a pure form but now its being corrupted by Churches mixing with immorals and there ideas. Thats why there is 100s of contradictions in Bible. there wasnt even one but opinions gets added and it created logical errors. there is 100s of defferent versions of Bible currently. The worst of all is King james versions. this created trinity. there are many messengers who had parents so does it applicable to them too?? there is only one Supreme power that controls everything who has no family, no sons or daughters, no one equal to it , no gender ,no weakness and nothing looks like it. even i can't call it as a God because the word God has genders(gods, godess) .even in the Bible Jesus Christ peace be upon him prayed by prostrating which muslims and jews use to pray. but to whom he prayed is that supreme being. then we see a big contradiction if Jesus is God then why is he praying to God? beacuse of someone added extra words to Bible making it to new version Bible made this problem in between Christians itself. the Supreme being knows this would happen and sent the last messenger Muhammed peace be upon him and the Quran and given that this Book will not be changed. the people and scholars byhearted it since then and thats the reason why islam has no contradictions and no one was able to add new stuff like "that celebrate holidays" , "we will go staright to heaven and god will forgive us"which is his point of veiw. God will forgive untill you repent. i hope u get the difference and find the way you want to live.
We are not to mix HIS ways with their (pagan) ways period ,doesnt matter what we mean by it or not..what matters is what YAH wants and makes it very clear throughout the bible HE is to be honored above all others not to be mixed with other gods !!!! simple as that...no we are NOT to celebrate it
The Israelites at Mt.Sinai could have reasoned the same way as you and the churches have. Its not a golden calf of pagan gods, its a golden calf to Jehovah. If you incorporate pagan festivals in your worship to God, you will become pagan. The bible has warned many times about unfaithful Israel and its results of incorporating paganism in worship to the true God Jehovah, and this warning continued until past Jesus day. Note what 2 Corinthians 6:14-16 says: “Do not become unevenly yoked with unbelievers.” That is what the apostle Paul urged. If Christmas is not the incorporation of pagan festivals and gods into the worship to God, then why choose this day. Why not chose another day. No. this day was chosen to mislead the whole world into celebrating a pagan holiday disguised as a Christian one. In fact the celebrations of honouring the day of ones birth (Birthday) is also pagan in itself, which 1st century Christians and Jews did not celebrate. www.huffingtonpost.com.au/2013/11/11/history-of-birthdays_n_4227366.html?ri18n=true This Priest talks with false with false reasoning's, and his lack to denounce the pagan practice is testimony to his hatred of truthful and wholesome teachings from God. About the same time as when Christmas was introduced into Christendom, the Churches have allowed other pagan practices which honour false gods to enter into mainstream religion such as the Trinity, Easter, and the Cross. Making their entire belief based more in pagan teachings than God's. We all need to examine the scriptures thoroughly as recommended in Acts 17:11 "Now these were more noble-minded than those in Thes·sa·lo·niʹca, for they accepted the word with the greatest eagerness of mind, carefully examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so". And unfortunately, I have to be blunt and say that anyone who believes what the church teaches has been completely mislead. The very essence of their belief is steeped in false pagan ideals than the word of God as stated in the bible. Think for a moment about Christmas. Not only is it really the pagan festival to pagan gods dating back to roman, Babylonian, and Hindu gods, but every aspect of christmas is also satanic. 1 Timothy 4:1 warns true Christians to stay away from organisations which promote all pagan and false traditions by saying "However, the inspired word clearly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to misleading inspired statements and teachings of demons". 1/ The tree in Christmas is from pagan believes and traditions. www.newsweek.com/christmas-tree-origin-story-pagan-tradition-1254178 2/ The three wise men or kings as the churches claim were actually astrologers, or magic practitioners. Note what the bible warnings about such ones in Deuteronomy 18:10-12 "There should not be found in you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, anyone who employs divination, anyone practicing magic, anyone who looks for omens, a sorcerer, anyone binding others with a spell, anyone who consults a spirit medium or a fortune-teller, or anyone who inquires of the dead. For whoever does these things is detestable to Jehovah, and on account of these detestable practices Jehovah your God is driving them away from before you. If God hated these practitioners this much why would he direct people he advised to stay away from to go to Jesus? Back ground on Magi www.huffpost.com/entry/on-revelation-of-the-magi_b_788238 3/ Note the star which adorns all Christmas trees, which all churches teach was from God was actually lead by Satan to lead the magi's to Herod first then to Jesus, so that Herod might get to know of where the boy who would one day be Messiah was so that Herod could kill him. Matthew 2:12&13 says "However, because they were given divine warning in a dream not to return to Herod, they departed for their country by another way. After they had departed, look! Jehovah’s angel appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying: “Get up, take the young child and his mother and flee to Egypt, and stay there until I give you word, for Herod is about to search for the young child to kill him.” Had God not intervened and sent his angel, and the magi's returned back to Herod, Jesus might have died and Satan would have been successful in sending the magi's to Herod first. 4/ Jesus was not a baby when the Magi's came. He was at least 2 years old and no longer a toddler creationtoday.org/the-wise-men-and-the-star/ It is disturbing how paganism has influenced mainstream religions without protest from it's clerics, but not surprising as Jehovah's Witnesses don't celebrate pagan ideals including Christmas just as the 1st century Christians would never celebrate pagan festivals but were warned that false Christians will come and devour the congregation with false teachings. 2Timothy 4:3-5 says "For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the wholesome teaching, but according to their own desires, they will surround themselves with teachers to have their ears tickled. They will turn away from listening to the truth and give attention to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry. True Christians identify themselves by staying away from all that is false and misleading, and they do this by keeping their senses. Through the churches we are living in times when Satan is misleading the entire world as stated in Revelation 12:9 "So down the great dragon was hurled, the original serpent, the one called Devil and Satan, who is misleading the entire inhabited earth; he was hurled down to the earth, and his angels were hurled down with him. But unlike the Church which teaches and promote lies, Christians are admonished to "“Go in through the narrow gate, because broad is the gate and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are going in through it; whereas narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are finding it" as stated in Mathew 7:13&14.
Richard Chileshe, thank you for all the good information and the scripture references. I turned from Christmas last year after finding out the truth pagan origins and repenting then on December 35th a demon spirit rise up in me and I got free! No one can tell me it’s ok to celebrate it and do the pagan things accociated with it, it’s done unto demons and the enemy has us bound till we submit to God then the devil will flee! We must examine the scriptures on Idoltary and know Gods heart in these man made traditions, he never wanted us to worship him the way the pagans did there god’s Deuteronomy 12:29-32. Even the New Testament has so much to say on this matter and we must not dine at the table of demons!
It the choice of the churches to ignore the plethora of scriptures. Did you know that the the Cross is also not a symbol of Christianity? All Christians need to do independent research to verify that the trinity is Pagan. I have found this link from the Stanford Encyclopaedia of Philosophy denouncing the Trinity: plato.stanford.edu/entries/trinity/trinity-history.html Also, Jesus was not crucified on a cross. This too is false and pagan just like the trinity. The Greek word generally translated “cross” is stau·rosʹ. It basically means “an upright pale or stake.” The Companion Bible points out: “[Stau·rosʹ] never means two pieces of timber placed across one another at any angle . . . There is nothing in the Greek of the [New Testament] even to imply two pieces of timber.” In several texts, Bible writers use another word for the instrument of Jesus’ death. It is the Greek word xyʹlon. (Acts 5:30; 10:39; 13:29; Galatians 3:13; 1 Peter 2:24) This word simply means “timber” or “a stick, club, or tree.” The word cross was introduced to English in the tenth century as the term for the instrument of the torturous execution of Christ (gr. stauros', xy'lon), gradually replacing rood, ultimately from Latin crux, via Old Irish cros. Originally, both "rood" and "crux" referred simply to any "pole," the later shape associated with the term being based in church tradition, rather than etymology. Below are independent sources to verify this. The Washington Post: www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/five-myths-about-the-cross/2017/04/14/dae63c1a-1fa8-11e7-be2a-3a1fb24d4671_story.html Encyclopaedia Britannica.com: www.britannica.com/topic/cross-religious-symbol You will see that the same crosses used in Egyptian worship is used by many false Christians churches today. When you see the pope, and churches steeped in pagan symbolism it will astound you, and confirm that this cannot be the organisation that God is happy with.
How so???? Please elaborate. It is a know and widely documented fact that Christmas is not a Christian festival, but a pagan one with characters from the bible, and incorporated into the church to convert pagans. However, rather than getting pagans to repent and accept the true word of God as the apostles did, Christendom (the Churches) accepted their pagan beliefs and incorporated it into theirs. The church since the 3rd century has not thought the truth about the bible. They are about traditions of false customs such as Christmas, Easter, the Trinity and the Cross. And rather than teaching the people the truth as the Pharisees did , they prefer the teachings of the devil. As Jesus said to the Pharisees in Mark 7:13 - "You have made the word of God invalid because of your traditions". And time and again you hear and read it... The Church is about Tradition. they don't care where it comes from. All Christians should apply Pauls warning to Timothy in 1Timothy 6:20&21 "Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to you, turning away from the empty speeches that violate what is holy and from the contradictions of the falsely called “knowledge.” By making a show of such knowledge, some have deviated from the faith. May the undeserved kindness be with you". Each Christian is admonished to keep searching for the truth in God's word, and pagan ideals are not Truths that Jesus or the apostles taught. Romans 12:2 encourages those that love God above the traditions of men to: "And stop being molded by this system of things, but be transformed by making your mind over, so that you may prove to yourselves the good and acceptable and perfect will of God". Those who seek out his truth will be counted worthy to be one of the meek who will inherit the earth, and take part in the benefits of his Kingdom as this short 4 minute video shows. www.jw.org/en/library/videos/#en/mediaitems/VODBibleTeachings/pub-jwbcov_201505_11_VIDEO
I really admire how much efforts you have put into this. I aggree with everything you have to say about this brother. As human god gave us wits to find the truth so that we should not blindly follow corrupted traditions Such as celebrating a pagan holiday like christmas.
Christians don't need to celebrate a pagan holiday to talk about JESUS. . In fact, its when Christians truly start taking a stand against these pagan holidays like Christmas, that gives them more of an opportunity to give the GOSPEL to a spiritually dying world. . Sharing as to why BORN-AGAIN Believers do not practice any Pagan practices such as Christmas, as it a complete violation of the WORD of GOD!!! - (Revelation 18:4)
You will be condemned by your own words. You admit it's pagan origins and then you do your will, not God's " Learn not the way of the heathens and do not worship the Lord in the way they worship their gods"
if you dont believe Jesus was born on the 25th why is it celebrated on the 25 Jesus does not tell us to celebrate his birthday i think a person is weak if they do they are ignorant about gods word Romans 10:3
@Lord Kevin absolutely agree my friend. No Christian should make another Christian feel bad about celebrating Christmas. They miss the power of God who turned the horrible tradition into a good thing. That's God he takes the bad things of the world and makes them good. That's why we want to trust in God full heartedly no matter how bad things may seem Gods right there to make it good.
The scriptures say that you should not celebrate or partake in things the pagans did. End of story. Saturnalia, the Winter Solstice, the Xmas tree all pagan traditions.
Actually, the reason why early Christians chose the 25th of December was because they wanted to counter the Pagan tradition. They wanted to change it, not participate in it. They know exactly that it was the birth of many ancient gods like krishnah, horos, buddah, and etc. It was just to counter the pagan traditions. The real question isn’t why do we celebrate Christmas. It is how Christians should celebrate Christmas.
@@jameslaurente9585 you couldn’t be anymore inaccurate. Early Christians including the Catholic Church actually rejected the idea of Christmas. This easily verifiable if you choose to do the research. Paganism amongst the Europeans was widely popular. During the times of the Holy wars the rulers of that era saw ppl becoming devout Christians and no longer or acting the pagan religion. In order to keep their control and their beliefs many rulers adapted to Christianity but also providing a landscape for them to worship their gods. This is why the holy day is Sunday & not Saturday. December 25th, Christmas, Easter, etc it’s all related in paganism.
what if somebody celebrated your birthday 3 months late, what would you think about that? why would Christians choose to celebrate Jesus birth on the wrong date? the only reason I can think of is because they are not doing it to please Jesus but themselves. Jesus commanded us to remember His death not His birth and not just once a year. since Jesus asked this of us why insist on celebrating His birth, on the wrong date, with traditions that are loaded with pagan practices? simple, because you enjoy it and you don't want to give it up. I'd like to remind you though, Jesus gave up His life for yours.
AMEN!!! Christ also says in Mark 7:9 KJV "And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition." And this is exactly what people do when they celebrate "Christmas". Their rejecting what God has said in Jeremiah 10:2-4 KJV "Thus saith the Lord, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. [3] For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. [4] They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not." Amen! I don't celebrate Christmas, because it's a lie, and according to John 8:44 KJV "Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it." So if the devils is the "Father if lies", we shouldn't participate in any holiday that's a lie (all holidays are lies). Amen! Also according to Revelation 21:8 KJV "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and (all liars), shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death." It says "All liars". And if we participate in something that's a "Lie", yet along say "Christmas is Christ's birthday". We're telling a lie. When SATAN Is father of lies! Amen brother! God bless! I agree with your comment! 👍 🙏✝️
You teach our children that Jesus was born on Christmas, 25 December you have confirmed by your statements that you teaching a lie While you sit on the truth and let it die Please teach our children the truth and let them decide according to the truth I was corrupted by this religions from child wood that Jesus was born on Christmas, at 31 years am just realizing I believed a lie.
Our culture observes Christmas as Santa Claus and presents and drinking. God tells us to not be of this world. Christmas is a man made holiday, of this world. No where in scripture does it mention Celebrating this holiday. I’m fact it does say “heathens(pagans) cut trees down from the forest and take them to their home to decorate with silver and gold. God then tells us not to be like these heathens. I’ve loved Christmas until I found out it’s origins. AND why & how it got turned into what we know as Christmas. Satan has tricked us into performing rituals to their gods on actually very important days of the year. To each their own but for me and mine we don’t do Christmas anymore.
The Bible does not mention birthday celebrations for Jesus or any other faithful worshipper of God. The Scriptures refer to only two individuals who celebrated their birthday. Neither of them was a worshipper of Jehovah, the God of the Bible, and their birthday celebrations were cast in a negative light. (Genesis 40:20; Mark 6:21) According to the Encyclopædia Britannica, the early Christians opposed the “pagan custom of celebrating birthdays.” The Bible does not say exactly when Jesus was born. “The day of Christ’s birth cannot be ascertained from the N[ew] T[estament] or, indeed, from any other source,” states McClintock and Strong’s Cyclopedia. Surely, if Jesus wanted his followers to celebrate his birthday, he would have made certain that they knew the date of his birth. Second, the Bible does not record that Jesus or any one of his disciples celebrated Christmas. According to the New Catholic Encyclopedia, celebrating Christmas was first mentioned “in the Chronograph of Philocalus, a Roman almanac whose source material can be dated to 336 [C.E.].” Clearly, that was well after the completion of the Bible and centuries after Jesus was on earth. Thus, McClintock and Strong note that “the observance of Christmas is not of divine appointment, nor is it of N[ew] T[estament] origin.” As the Great Teacher, Jesus gave clear instructions on what he wanted his followers to do, and these are recorded in the Bible. Celebrating Christmas, however, is not one of them. Just as a schoolteacher does not want his students to go beyond the instructions given them, Jesus does not want his followers to “go beyond the things that are written” in the Holy Scriptures.-1 Corinthians 4:6. On the other hand, there is one important event the early Christians were very familiar with-the commemoration, or Memorial, of Jesus’ death. Jesus personally told his disciples when to observe this occasion and showed them how to do it. These specific instructions, as well as the calendar day of his death, are recorded in the Bible.-Luke 22:19; 1 Corinthians 11:25. As we have seen, Christmas is a birthday celebration, and early Christians did not follow that pagan custom. Furthermore, the Bible does not mention that Jesus or anyone else celebrated Christmas. In light of these facts, millions of Christians the world over have concluded that Christmas is not for them.

Christmas has absolutely nothing to do with Christ! The “real” meaning of Christmas is it’s a pagan holiday and God told us to have nothing to do with evil! He specifically said to not do what the pagans do and call it worship to Him!
Lord Kevin I used to believe that too, In fact, Christmas was my absolute favorite time of year. Once my son was born, a little over two years ago, my husband and I started praying specifically for wisdom and through those prayers one of the things God revealed to us was the true meaning behind Christmas. I will list several bi lie verses that support what I’m saying. If you do your I. Depth research on the history of Christmas and what all the traditions mean you will be very surprised, as I was, that this holiday we all were taught is celebrating Christ, is actually nothing but a pagan holiday wrapped in Christian jargon. There are two really good teachings about Christmas on RUclips. One is by Truthunedited and the other is by Rachel Stephens with Crack your Bible. I would suggest you listen to these teachings. Here are the verses I’ve researched as well: Deuteronomy 12:29-32, 7:5, 12:3-4 Exodus 34:13 1 Kings 12:26-32 Matthew 13:53-58, 10:37-3 Jeremiah 10:2-4 Joshua 24:15 Mark 7:13 Colossians 2:8 Jeremiah 10:2 John 4:23-24 Hosea 4:6 Jeremiah 17:9 the heart is deceptive Christmas is a man made tradition Ephesians 5:11-12 Have no fellowship with these people
Lord Kevin you say you know the scripture, then that means you should know that God very clearly tells us to not take what the pagans do as worship to their gods and call it worship to Him. That is literally what Christmas is doing. You need to research the history of Christmas and what is actually being celebrated. It doesn’t matter if that’s not what it means to you.....it’s the same as me telling you that in my eyes the sky is neon pink.....but in reality the sky is blue....the same goes for these pagan holidays....you can say it’s one thing but in reality it is still a pagan holiday that is being used to falsely worship God.....the very thing he told us not to do.
Lord Kevin again, you still have not provided any scripture reference to back up your claim. You are right, we should be praising God every day.... but the holiday Christmas has nothing to do with Christ. It is 100% pagan and being used to falsely worship God.... as I stated before, God tells us we are to never do as the pagans do and call it worship to Him. You need to research the true meaning and history of Christmas.
Pixie Patrol first of all, you are quite rude. Secondly, I dont care for opinions, I care about facts....and in your argument you didn’t list any scripture to back up your claim.
Every day should be an opportunity to spread the gospel and every day should be the day to praise and thank the Lord for coming to Earth and dying for our sins.
You can take the name SANTA and it can make the name S-A-T-A-N That to me is scary, it's like the old Devil is still lying to us, as in the Garden Of Eden, still trying to make us believe we are all gods, I will not have anything to do with the anti Christ, it is wrong to worship the Lord with all your mind, and all your Soul, to celebrate this Holiday, count me out of all Pagan Festables
Just Joy, it's not just that - but like the sun-god(s) of the pagans, he traverses the skies; so symbolic of the continual rebirth of the sun-god(s). Santa with his rituals, probably relates to the Nordic god Odin as his tradition had him riding through the sky on an eight-legged, white horse name Sleipnir. (Santa originally had eight reindeers, Rudolph was nine). Odin lived in Valhalla (the North) and had a long white beard. Odin would fly through the sky during the winter solstice (December 21-25) rewarding the good children and punishing the naughty.
Dude the Bible says don't do it Jeremiah 10.. Point blank period God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. He didn't support homosexuality then he doesn't now. He was clear, cutting the tree decking with silver and gold etc he said the traditions of men are vain.. then Read 1 Timothy 6 also Malachi 2:8-9... Very disappointed there is no justification for this... The first church protested this and so do I.. coming from a person who "loved" the Christmas holiday I now know the truth I want nothing to do with it.. it's an insult just like the gay flag.. who vex loss I don't care
@Collin Lutz again you are adding... I never said they were worshipping trees. God said to his people this is what they do, don't do it, he said do not worship me in the way they do, it's very simple we cannot take a practice or "tradition" ascribe a Christian title and do the same thing God said not to do. Read the entire scripture don't break it up, Did you miss where he said the traditions of men are vain, let's expand did you miss the golden calf story, did you miss where he said worship in spirit and truth, did you miss where he said do not add or take away, I can go on and on. Furthermore if we can agree that "Jesus" was not born at that time, what exactly are we celebrating? His birth... Really? His thoughts and ways are higher than ours not to mention he did say a way might seem right onto a man but it leads to destruction... So it's your choice, he gave his word, chose who you will serve. As for me and my house we will serve the Lord I feel convicted.
@Collin Lutz furthermore it seems you don't know the backstory to this practice and why said don't do it. You do your own research but I will leave a few scriptures with you Jeremiah 2:30/ 3:6/ 3:13. When I have time I will look up a documentary that explains this using the Bible hopefully it will help you. At the end of the day regardless of your intentions you cannot worship God how you see fit but how he does, go to the very beginning Cain and Abel what happened and tell me what you draw from that story looking at the similarities. Peace I leave with you brother 🙏
@Collin Lutz well I am glad to read your following comment where you said through Jesus... We cannot approach God directly. The individual we call Jesus is the way the truth and the life, no one comes to the father but by him. .. I don't know why I always read these while on the job and somehow I can never find the comments when I have time. I have the answer but it's so much to type... Hopefully I can find this back later
I totally agree !!! People love to jump on and chase conspiracy theories, only to discover that so many things that they acknowledge daily were derive from conspiracy theories or ungodly Origins! I refuse to debate with people about Christmas I celebrate Christmas I feel very at peace with it and I don't entertain debates about why people should not celebrate Christmas!
@@archiestewartjr.3588 here is some education for u then: Both sacred scripture and the sacred apstolic traditon prove not only was Christ Born on 25 December, other pagan religions were started around December as a tactic of Confusion. LUKE CH 1 (and were not using the KJV btw...DR for us): The Angel Gabriel appears while Zachariah is in the temple for the Day of Atonement, which is happening in the Jewish 9th month at the end of the 8 Days after the 15th. This is based off the lunar calendar and just so happens to be Yom Kippur, concluding between 23-25 Sept....add 6 months...March 23-25 Luke 1:48 begin..."the angel of the Lord Appeared to Mary"...and she conceived of the Holy Ghost...add 3 months 23-25 June...John the Baptist is born...Then 6 more and Merry CHRIST-MAS. And bonus for u, the Christmas Tree is a Catholic Christian victory over germanic paganism and the Thor oak Tree. St. Boniface, Bishop of Germany 8th Century conquered pagan tree worship and instituted the Ever Green Fir Tree to commemerate the triumph of Christ over False gods and human sacrifice. So be of Good Cheer, and celebrate the 25 Dec as the histoic birth of our Lord, whose coming destroys all the pagan and false superstions, and put up ur Christ Mas trees! Lastly drop men like these who are neo Pharisees and no nothing. U may even choose to actually attend a Catholic Mass as Mass is in the word Christmas, and actually worship God by going there and thanking Him in his presence. Peace be to u...and learn ur faith...or the world, doubt, and pagans will take it from u.
Christmas is an abomination to Jesus. It's not about what it means to us, who is man? It's about what it means to HIM. God's heart has been crushed by idolatry and pagan practices, How dare we bring to remembrance every year the green tree gifts and presents which seem harmless to us but to HIM he remembers the blood of children being sacrificed under the green tree, hence where we get red and green color themes for this day. Just imagine the worst thing ever that happened in your life and then your friends and family bring items to you that make you remember the horrible event and say it honors you! Such a disgrace. EZE 6:9Then those of you who escape will remember Me among the nations where they are carried captive, because I was crushed by their adulterous heart which has departed from Me, and by their eyes which play the harlot after their idols; they will loathe themselves for the evils which they committed in all their abominations.
God thoughts are not like our own,so I doubt he’ll see it like that Anytime he talks about not following tradition it’s because those traditions directly break the Ten Commandments
There is a distinct difference between driving a car with a name of pagan origins or using common language to be easily understood versus active participation in pagan traditions that they used to worship false gods. God said that he is a jealous God and His people should have no other gods against his face. He also said that he requires "exclusive devotion". It is obvious that you're trying to justify what you want to do, perhaps so you don't lose even more membership. Jesus said to the religious leaders, "So you have made the word of God invalid because of your tradition. You hypocrites, Isaiah aptly prophesied about you when he said: ‘This people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far removed from me. It is in vain that they keep worshipping me." (Matthew 15:6-9)
Christopher Shreiner correct me if I am wrong, bit if I understand you correctly when you say "participation in pagan traditions that they used to worship false gods" you were referring to what we now call Christmas. My question to you is when a Christian celebrates this time of the year and uses it to Christmas to celebrate the birth of Jesus are you saying he is a false God? If not and the Christian is celebrating the True God where is the evil in it when it is a ttime to witness to the world the truth about His birth? Thank you for your reply.
@@JohnSmith-ug5ci here's my one reply because this can go on forever. 1) Nowhere in the Bible are we commanded to celebrate Jesus' birth. 2) Jesus didn't save anyone by his birth. It is his death that held major significance in the outworking of God's purpose. 3) We are given SPECIFIC instruction by God in how to worship him in an approved way. 4) Pagan customs and tradition cannot be made Christian by simply renaming it. Consider 2 Corinthians 6:14, 15, "Do not become unevenly yoked with unbelievers. For what fellowship do righteousness and lawlessness have? Or what sharing does light have with darkness? Further, what harmony is there between Christ and Beʹli·al? Or what does a believer share in common with an unbeliever?" Didn't the Israelites make a calf of gold and call it the God that brought them out of Egypt and fall down to worship it? They were honoring God in their own mind and heart by worshipping the way they wanted to. But they gave no consideration to the way God wanted to be worshipped. (Ex 32:1-8, 18, 19; Ne 9:18) It didn't turn out well for them even though they held a festival to God in the image of a calf. 5) Christmas does anything BUT witness to others the truth of his birth. The star was sent by Satan so that Herod could have Jesus killed. Jesus was approximately 2 years old (not a newborn) on that occasion. That's why Herod had all male children under 2 years old killed. They were not "wise men" that followed the star but astrologers (people that looked for signs in the stars and planets) which the Bible condemns. He wasn't born around December. There are so many lies and misunderstandings around Christ's birth. If anything, the holidays confused people more than they shed light on anything.
Christopher Shreiner, I mean you no disrespect but what you are promoting is a legalistic Pharisee type thinking. While I certainly agree that there is a pagan side of Christmas there is also a worshipful side which witness’ to the world. No the star WAS NOT sent by satan. That is just silly. Romans 14:4 Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand v.5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. v.6 He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.
@John Smith - Those verses you shared are about fasting from food. The day you choose to fast from food and pray is your personal decision and you shouldn’t be judged as to which day you choose. Not once in that chapter is the Sabbath mentioned. I don’t think the Sabbath is mentioned at all in the entire book of Romans. We are free to celebrate and worship on the Saturday Sabbaths and Biblical Feasts just as God commanded.
Nowhere in the word of God says celebrate his birth and it does not prove he was born in the winter time. But read acts 20:7 that’s what we really should be celebrating
Jeremiah 10 clearly says to not learn the ways of the heathen. It talks about bringing in a tree and decking it with silver and gold. Celebrating Christmas is a bunch of lies and then your also lying to your kids too. Don’t be afraid to stand up for the truth. No matter how many excuses you make have a tree in your home is ancient paganism and we were never called to celebrate the Lords birth we are called to be Holy. Do your research and you decide. Amen
Cover Me Here’s the thing: Jeremiah 10 is saying that in the context of IDOLS. I pay no regard to any false deity by putting up a Christmas tree. It’s just a fun decoration.
@Roger King if its wrong to celebrate xmas because some pagans celebrated their own things 1000s of years ago, that most people don't even know about. It has a vibe that no other day has because they are celebrating in heaven too, as joy is brought to ALL people those in heaven as well.
hows it wrong for people all over the world to celebrate Jesus Christ? Alot of businesses are make or break because of xmas. Think of all those people who are happily employed who can now bring glory to God over their table of food that God provides through xmas shoppers. I think if Christmas was done away with completely alot of people would have nothing to thank God for. Maybe satan is victorious in your eyes but in my eyes I see it all as the work of God being victorious pouring his blessings out to people.
@Roger King telling someone they aren't a follower of christ is a pretty judgmental statement. I know God. Those who don't know love don't know God. And he will say depart from me I never new you. I see how love has turned what used to be a horrible way to celebrate dec 17-25 or whatever. If we look back on the things they did none of these things were acts of love. Child sacrifice fornication and on these are act of hate. Now we spent time together with LOVED ones making loving memories, exchanging gifts, eating after thanks giving, and people are generally kinder. All these are acts of LOVE if you can't see the love in these things you gotta ask yourself do you know love. Name one act of hate your average person associates with xmas?
Once I saw witches, and occult worshipers celebrating christmas that was enough for me. Please explain why those who blaspheme our God celebrate his birth??? No way they would acknowledge The Most High God. I've been done with holidays. I'd rather be safe than sorry. It's just not worth it to me and I am missing nothing. I celebrate the birth and existence of my Lord and Savior everyday with how I live my life and obey his commandments.
Christmas is actually a pagan festival. Or at least used to be before Romans made it Christian in 354 A.C. talking all about how they are certain, with no proof, that Jesus was born that day. Truly one of examples that indicates how Bible, and the religion was changed by men.
And every day of the week and every month of the year are named after pagan Roman gods. Oh, horror of horrors. You'd better not ever look at a calender again or even mention or ever write or say those names. Oh, you heathen! 😂
The culture and origin of this holiday as well as Easter was used for false gods. Why in the world would we recognize this day for our precious Lord and Savior ??? That’s a choice. We have days of the week named after pagan gods but did not decide this on our own will. Once we have the knowledge of what these origins represent we have a choice to celebrate Christ massacre or not. Hosea 4:6 “my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge, because thou rejected knowledge I will also reject thee” Says the Lord! Isn’t this a great example of us saying something of the sort ? “Lord Lord haven’t I prophesied in your name, cast demons in your name, and done many wonders in your name?” ...or... ‘Gave gifts in your name..” And hear the condemning words “I never knew you, depart from me, you who practice lawlessness “ Matt 7:22-23 Jesus didn’t ask to be celebrated this way just like He never told us to do all these other things in His name. We need to be careful what we do in our Lords name! 1 Corinthians 10:20 “Now I imply that what pagans sacrifice they offer to demons and not to God. I DO NOT WANT YOU TO BE PARTICIPANTS OF DEMONS” PERIOD!!!! While we bow down to a adorned tree and offer our hard earned sacrifices. We need to think and pray hard on this!
When we celebrate Christmas we're not embracing everything it ever was or it's origins but the celebration of Christmas is an opportunity for the Gospel because our culture observes Christmas. Because our culture gives us an opportunity to talk about this things we should take advantage of it. Take advantage of what the culture does because you can use it as a Gospel opportunity to witness and to tell people what the real meaning is, that God has come in the flesh to save his people from their sins and that is a glorious message. -Dr. Hershael York
So basically you can sin all you want and you will be in heaven cause jesus already knew you was going to be a pork munching cheating liar great belief mate

1st: it does not matter how "reformed" a holiday is. If it is not condoned in the scriptures then you are choosing to make a decision about this on your own accord. Not Gods. 2nd: while it can be very hard for someone to even consider giving up the holiday that there aren't exactly many reason to keep doing so anyway. -Jesus was not born in December -there is no evidence to suggest that God incurages a celebration of the messiah birth -Christmas has evolved out of being celebrated as a "reformed" holiday to being nothing more than a holiday to give and want more and more gifts while we struggle to even be thankful for what we have and remembering Christ's gif! Very lowsey way to celebrate the birth of our SAVIOR. (Not to say that we even should be that focused on his birth anyway) -most of those traditons that we use as representations of Christ ex. Christmas trees, holy, etc. Are still pagan traditions that has been deemed another purpose. That isn't exactly something the bible really likes for us to do. see Deuteronomy ch. 12 3rd and finally. Just because we use some things that have duribed from a pagan orgin, the example given was the names of the months, is NOT the same thing as WORSHIPPING FROM a previously pagan tradtion. There is a difference. Any Christian would I hope agree that our worship towards God is suppose to be very important and sacred to us. Using an established calendar that derives from pagainism is a BIT different that reusing a pagan- rooted holiday to worship our God with. just saying.
I'm assuming this guy is a Christian, I find it amazing the things they do to offend God and still find excuses, read your Bible and live by it or don't claim to be a follower of Jesus Christ. John17.14-16 John15.19 2corinthians 6.17 Revelation 18.4 Get out of her my people!

Knowing that it's rooted in paganism why in the world would a Christian want to celebrate it? In Deuteronomy 12 it says twice not to worship God the way the pagan nations worship their gods, not to even inquire about how they worship, yet today Chriatians have adopted pagan practices and say it's in the name of Jesus?
Exactly “their gods” there is no God in Christmas, only an idol and the acts Santa, which is why you wouldn’t involve Santa. Christmas is about giving and thanks and you can involve Jesus and do activities with Jesus and pray and even fast.
@@kadenhays2331 exactly, and one could argue that Santa becomes the pagan God, but that’s why parents make sure that their kids know that Christmas is centrally about celebrating Jesus’ birth.
So you're admitting teaching false information and making MAN'S Law for others to follow instead of following GOD'S MANDATED BIBLICAL LAW. Pretty much breaks HIS commandments and the word of God.
I agree we should talk about God's gift of salvation, but we already knowing its a lie, then we still cover it up again with another lie by saying this is what Christmas means. This is the best way to lose the trust of people on Christianity. The very reason why we all need to stick with God's truth.
The Bible does not mention birthday celebrations either, for Jesus or any other faithful worshipper of God.
Thank you explaining why we should celebrate Christmas, all of us must realise how important it is to give glory and honour to Almighty God for the wonderful good news. My wife and I had this discussion a few days ago and I used exactly the same reasoning as you when I told her that I was having an affair with another woman. I thought that she would understand when I told her that I always use her name when I call this woman, when it’s your birthday I always buy presents for this woman, she wears your clothes and uses the same perfume as you, I take her to our favourite restaurant where we first met and we have the same meal we had that joyful day and when we make love I call her by your name and it’s a wonderful and joyous occasion and I think of you. Out of all these things I can’t understand why my wife is so angry with me, I have done everything in her name and now she is filing for a divorce! Of course, this is a parable… I asked a friend of mine how many legs a dog has, he replied four, which is absolutely correct! Then I asked him to call the dogs tail a leg and asked him the same question, he thought for a short while and replied… “the dog still has only four legs”, once again he was correct. We learn that, by changing the name of something does not make it truth, the tail is still a tail no matter what we choose to call it and no matter how much we try and rebrand pagan ceremony of Saturnalia and Solus Invicti and any other pagan ceremony including Easter and Halloween, they will always remain pagan ceremonies and by our active participation, to whatever degree we commit adultery to Almighty God and we can expect Him to file for divorce too. Matthew 15:9; 23: 13-30; John 4:24. The Bible contains all the instructions as to what is pleasing to Almighty God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, contained within these instructions are eight observances which are: 1. Sabbath on the 7th day. (4th Commandment). 2. Passover - Leviticus 23:4-8. 3. Unleavened Bread - Leviticus 23:6. 4. First Fruits - Leviticus 23:10. 5. Shavuot, Feast of Weeks or Pentecost - Leviticus 23:16. 6. Feast of Trumpets - Leviticus 23:24. 7. Day of Atonement - Leviticus 16, 23:26-32. 8. Feast of Tabernacles or Booths - Leviticus 23:34. These are direct commandments which are God’s spoken word for everyone (including Jesus and St Paul) and they are still in force today as they were in the past and all “Christians” as well as all those who profess adherence to the God of Abraham are mandated to observe without exception. If we do not observe these commandments then it is a direct and wilful sin! 1John 3: 4. I love you all but you must come out of Babylon before it is too late!!!! Revelation 18:4.

My concern with celebrating Christmas on the Lords day or bringing Christmas traditions into our worship services is that it’s a violation of the regulative principle of worship. If God did not prescribe it, we should not bring it into our worship services on the Lord’s day or else we offer strange fire. (Leviticus 10) or we make the same mistake that Cane made in his offering to God in the book of Genesis.
You didn’t answer the question. The question isn’t “should Christians use every opportunity to share the gospel”, the question is “SHOULD Christians celebrate Christmas” Christ-Mass…what other Catholic tradition do Protestants partake of? Also, to compare Christmas to a Thursday is ridiculous. We don’t celebrate Thursdays! (Thor’s Day)
Deuteronomy 12:30 Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou inquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise. 31Thou shalt not do so unto the LORD thy God: for every abomination to the LORD, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods. 32What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it. This last verse is the guiding principle that God gave to all of His people, both old testament and new. He instructs us in the way of His religion. He has not left us blind, or unable to know what he requires of us, but rather instructs us in all holiness and truth. He commands us to keep our religion pure from outward sources, like the canaanites. God is the only source who we van recieve our duty concerning all our religion. This is very crucial to understand. The reformers after Luther refered to it as the regulative principle of worship. They also say, sola scriptura, which is to say scripture alone. No other books, no other religions, nothing can replace or be added to God's religion but that which he determines by the counsel of His will, not ours. Our wills are insufficient to guide us towards the true religion, only God knows and has revealed it to us. This is the founding principle of divine revelation. God reveals that which we cannot know otherwise. Our religious practices included. Jesus actual condemns the addition of any religious practice to His religion. Here he condemns the man made tradition of a ceremonial washing of the hands and pots and dishes. This was a false religous practice begun by the Pharisees, not found in God's word. (Matthew 15:1-9) 1Then came together unto him the Pharisees, and certain of the scribes, which came from Jerusalem. 2And when they saw some of his disciples eat bread with defiled, that is to say, with unwashen, hands, they found fault. 3For the Pharisees, and all the Jews, except they wash their hands oft, eat not, holding the tradition of the elders. 4And when they come from the market, except they wash, they eat not. And many other things there be, which they have received to hold, as the washing of cups, and pots, brasen vessels, and of tables.5Then the Pharisees and scribes asked him, Why walk not thy disciples according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashen hands? 6He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. 7Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. 8For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. Look what God did to Aarons sons for bringing in religous practices which "he commanded them not" Leviticus 10 And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the Lord, which he commanded them not 1 Samuel 13 . 9 So Saul said, “Bring a burnt offering and peace offerings here to me.” And he offered the burnt offering. 10 Now it happened, as soon as he had finished presenting the burnt offering, that Samuel came; and Saul went out to meet him, that he might [d]greet him. 11 And Samuel said, “What have you done?” Saul said, “When I saw that the people were scattered from me, and that you did not come within the days appointed, and that the Philistines gathered together at Michmash, 12 then I said, ‘The Philistines will now come down on me at Gilgal, and I have not made supplication to the Lord.’ Therefore I felt compelled, and offered a burnt offering.” 13 And Samuel said to Saul, “You have done foolishly. You have not kept the commandment of the Lord your God, which He commanded you. For now the Lord would have established your kingdom over Israel forever. 14 But now your kingdom shall not continue. The Lord has sought for Himself a man after His own heart, and the Lord has commanded him to be commander over His people, because you have not kept what the Lord commanded you God took Sauls future as king from him, strict because he did not follow the commandment of God. It wasn't that his heart wasn't sincere, it was His lack of obedience to follow God's religion. According to God's law, it was nor His place or calling to sacrifice burnt offerings. And by doing so, he was adding to God's religion. 2 Samuel 6:3 3 And they set the ark of God upon a new cart, and brought it out of the house of Abinadab that was in Gibeah: and Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, drave the new cart This was done incorrectly according to God's law. The were supposed to bear the ark on poles. Exodus 25 14And thou shalt put the staves into the rings by the sides of the ark, that the ark may be borne with them. Clearly David and all the people of Israel wanted to please God. But they added to the religion of God by saying the ark could be carried by a cart too. So I guess my question is this, where does god command us the observe the holy day of christmas? Holy days are an ordinance of God used for special times of worship. He institutes holy days, not ministers, not us. We can't hallow a day, only God can. So to add Christmas is to add to the religion of God. So if the history doesn’t matter and it’s about the opportunity to show god can’t we also do so on Halloween? I can pass out mini bibles& bible coloring books and verses instead of candy? All of this is confusing. I’m conflicted cause I have an acquaintance who is pagan saying the decorating of a tree is Pagan since it is meant to represent Thanks to the god of nature for the tree/nature’s bounty and so on. And then I have this video that basically says it’s ok? Like what? If In the Bible god was upset about the golden calf cause certainly the people thought it was beautiful wouldn’t he be upset about a tree that has no significance to him? Shouldn’t it be more about giving but giving to the homeless & those in need vs giving to those who already have? Cause right now it just sounds like we use Jesus as the excuse to celebrate Christmas but if it is solely about Jesus then maybe the pagan tradition shouldn’t be added onto it like the tree?

When was Jesus’ birth according to scripture? In Exodus 12:1-2 God established the 1st month of the Hebrew calendar, Abib. That would correspond with the second half of march through the first half of April. Then in Luke 1:26 we learn that Elizabeth, Mary’s’ cousin, was in her 6th month of pregnancy, which was Mary’s 1st month. Meaning Mary was impregnated in late September or early October. Jesus was born nine months later sometime between late-June to early-August. Sheep would have been in the fields. Could it be possible that the Lion of Judah was a Leo? Allowing for ‘Veadar’ (the equivalent of our leap year)… add or subtract one additional month to approximate when Jesus was born. If Mary was impregnated as the bible states 'in the sixth month' (late September or early October) then a two or three month delivery would have been a miscarriage to have a delivery in December. No sheep are in the fields in December. Anyway... this was a glorified Gender Reveal, birth announcement, never promoted or recognized by the disciples or apostles. Ecclesiastes 7:1 -2, “A good name is better than precious ointment; and the day of death than the day of birth. It is better to go to the house of mourning than to go to the house of feasting: for that is the end of all men: and the living will lay it to his heart.”Jesus said... DO 'THIS' TO REMEMBER ME... Luke 22:19 & 1 Cor 11:24.... in Acts 2:42 it says They devoted themselves to the 'apostles’ teaching' and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. ... The apostles and disciples never, ever taught anyone to celebrate his birth, or any other man made holiday. Mark 7:8 You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to human traditions. 2 Cor. 6:15-18 states "What harmony is there between Christ and Belial[a]? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? 16 What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people.” Therefore, “Come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.” And, “I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.” If we celebrate anything other than the Lords Supper he will not be our father. If we teach we will be held to a higher standard...

if its wrong to celebrate xmas because some pagans celebrated their own things 1000s of years ago, that most people don't even know about. Kevin this is the one and most important COMMANDMENT!! Now Kevin if we are able to practice daily this one, and we get right then we will be able to LOVE our neighbour as ourselves. The right way! Which is God's way! Not the human way! And all that this, man made traditions do (Cristmas) hindered people of all ages from been able to listen then, read and put into practice, then understand wich lead us to live our lives daily, doing God's will. And if we are able to practice this first and most important commandment. Then the rest will be peace of cake! Think about it!
@@Berean1711 I happen to be studying the Torah right now keeping my eyes opened for where God warns us about eternal conscious torment, so I haven't been looking for things about meditation. So I googled meditation in the bible and its rarely mentioned in the new test and alot of it is meditation on Gods law. Now can you remember all the instructions God gave to moses? I can see why they needed to mediate on it. See the old test the commandments were written in stone. Now thanks to Jesus christ who came to dwell among men. His law is written in our hearts, and this is probably why God talks more about prayer in new test. But another thing the bible tells us to do is to sing praises to the lord. Now in my city most radio stations are still playing Christian Christmas songs. So even the none believers may start singing praises to God. Now we also see in the bible when people in their darkest lowest moments are singing praises to God. I think when christ was in the realm of the dead they were probably singing praises to God. Like jonah in the belly of the fish sang praises. Kinda funny when the world is at its darkest point people are singing praises to God. And there's people who want to stop this. Sorry but it still doesn't make sense to want to stop Christmas. And I didn't ask for a list of acts of hate I asked for 1 act of hate a average person associates with xmas?....?
It amazes me the extent folks will go to 'justify' why they do things that are clearly pagan in origin and try to squeeze some sort of justifiable reason why it's ok to mix. Have nothing to do with this stuff. Come out of her my people. Did not the newly freed folks from Egypt want to have a 'Feast to YHWH'... by celebrating with a golden calf? That went over real well... not. Why can't we just do the things the Scriptures says... and not try add things that are clearly pagan. And to those that teach (via these RUclips opinions) to break the Commandments of God (YHWH)... have you no fear of the almighty?
You cannot make the unclean, clean or the profane, holy. The whole Bible warns us about these things and that we should do things God’s way. People just don’t see it, or choose not to. Sunday worship and pagan holidays originate from Babylon. Come out of her my people. If you don’t know what Babylon is, you can’t come out of her, if you love Babylon you may not want to come out of her. Worldly traditions of men paying homage to false gods, that’s what is at the heart of these things. We’re celebrating while sexual and sacrificial rituals are happening around the world. It’s not about what it means to us or what is in our hearts, it’s about what it means to God and what is in His heart.
The LORD tells us over and over not to learn the ways of the pagans and use these beliefs and rituals to the one true GOD. Here is just one example: Deuteronomy 12:28 “Be careful and listen to all these words which I am commanding you, so that it may go well for you and your sons after you forever, for you will be doing what is good and right in the sight of the Lord your God. 29 “When the Lord your God cuts off from you the nations which you are going in to dispossess, and you dispossess them and live in their land, 30 be careful that you are not ensnared to follow them, after they are destroyed from your presence, and that you do not inquire about their gods, saying, ‘How do these nations serve their gods, that I also may do likewise?’ 31 You shall not behave this way toward the Lord your God, because every abominable act which the Lord hates, they have done for their gods; for they even burn their sons and daughters in the fire for their gods.
Hi Joe Z just read your comments well done for sticking up for the word of God, can I encourage you to live up to your beliefs by reading Isaiah 43.10,11 Jesus taught us to make holy God's name Jehovah, why delete the name of God, giving him a title LORD, Isa 43.11 makes no sense untill you use the most high name JEHOVAH regards PaulMark

everything that has rooted to evil is bad. Saint Nicholas (a saint) and giving gifts (generosity) how are these pagan? Pagans created statues out of the wood of trees and intentionally worshiped idols so I don't think decorating a pine tree alone is enough to call it pagan.

The problem is Christmas being on the 25th itself is actually not pagan. There were many dates that Christians in the early church considered to be his birthday but the 25th was one of them and it was first thought in the year 204. Way before the Roman pagan holidays were made.
Wish people can open their eyes to the years of lies behind the Christmas tradition. Christmas is not for Christ. People need to research before just celebrating something just because most per celebrate it.

It literally took me 12 minutes to fully understand what you mean.. he means that you shouldnt celebrate your god in the way that pagans used to celebrate their gods.. RIGHT?
Christmas has everything to do with lies....the date of Jesus birth, people lie to their children, those statues are idols, most music worships not God but baby Jesus (Catholic church idol), churchgoers become hypocrites instead of making a life lasting change in heart like what the word says. He wants you to be joyful and giving doing good works all your life not just following the patterns of satan's world and his traditions. Stop the vain worship!
True religion should not be mixed with false religion. 1 Corinthians 10:21 says that we cannot be drinking from the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. In 2 Corinthias 6:14, Christians are warned not to become unevenly yoked with unbelievers. Verse 15 states: "What harmony is there between Christ and Belial [Satan]? Or what does a believer share in common with an unbeliever?" In verse 17, we are told that God will accept our worship only if we separate ourselves completely from idolators and their practices. It is obvious that Christians should not participate in holidays with pagan origins. We shouldn't think that if we extract out the so-called good parts of Christmas, that it will somehow be acceptable to God. As Ecclesiastes 1:15 says: "That which is crooked cannot be made straight."
@@graceb2048 In 2 Corinthians chapter 6 where it says that Christians should not be unevenly yoked with unbelievers, marriage is not exclusively mentioned. This principle definitely applies to marriage, but this principle also means we should avoid any close partnership with unbelievers that could compromise our faith.
Do you believe it’s possible to celebrate the holidays with family while focusing on Jesus and not the other mess out here? This question is for everyone but especially for those who don’t celebrate at all. I’m wondering because that’s what I’ve always done but I know I can do better and challenge myself to go even further!
I suppose it depends on: 1) your family; if everyone is receptive to a Christ-focused worshipful celebration, and 2) your traditions; if your traditions are actually conveying love to God, according to how he has told us he wants us to show him love. I know God said not to worship him the way people worship their gods. I thought it was enough to get rid of everything related to Santa Claus and Saint Nick; we still had a decorated ‘winter tree’, but we put the gifts under a Nativity Scene, because all good gifts are from the Father of Heavenly lights (God), and we got rid of the stockings and put candy and small gifts in treasure chests, as if they were from the wisemen (magi), but now I’m realizing that this gift-giving tradition isn’t something that God asked us to do to worship him (not the way we do it anyway-giving frivolous gifts to each other). Plus, it’s common knowledge that this date was hijacked from pagan gods. So, I’m thinking about not trying to use secular, idolatrous and/or pagan traditions to worship my God. I’m thinking that it was probably wrong for me to rebrand my old traditions as if they were being done for God, especially after rereading the golden calf story. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with exchanging gifts, but I’m deceiving myself if I think I’m doing it to honor God. It’s really about family love and fun. Obviously I still don’t want to exchange gifts in honor of an idol either. Maybe it would be better to have a family gift exchange on Thanksgiving or New Year’s. I’m thinking about just playing games on December 25th and having generic winter family fun time, with no religious decorations or themes, since this is not one of God’s seven holidays that he gave us to celebrate him on, and this date is associated with so much idolatry. Let’s look at what God told us to do to celebrate him. I think Jesus was born on The Feast of Booths, also known as The Feast of Tabernacles, or Sukkot, but I call it The Feast of Stables, because these booths that the Jewish people still put up every year look a lot like stables. Coincidence? I think not! So I celebrate Jesus’s birth during this holiday in the fall, by putting up a life-sized stable and hanging out in it for a week, because that’s what God instructed us to do. Of course, at the time, everyone was supposed to go to Jerusalem to do it, so it was a huge party! So I plan lots of fun outdoor field trips with my family too.

The true time of the birth of Yahshua can easily be known by the time of Zacharias’ temple service-the 8th course. This occurs in early June. Assuming that he went home and Elizabeth became pregnant-in keeping with what had been told to Zachariah, her sixth month, the time of Miriam’s (“Mary’s”) visitation would be in later December. John would have been born around Passover time-March/April-and Mary would have then given birth in September/October-not in-coincidental to the Feast of Tabernacles-when the Word was made flesh and tabernacled among mankind (John 1:14). So if you’re going to celebrate it, at least celebrate it at the more correct time, one that also takes into account shepherds out in the fields with their flocks when it’s not freezing out.
For as long as we have breath in our nostrils, EVERY SINGLE DAY is an opportunity to "SHARE THE GOSPEL." No judging, this is all BIBLE. Fear God enough to say NO to all these foolish traditions. We've been lied to for YEARS. I just recently came to light about all this, and as much as I didn't want to believe it, I can never go against Gods word. I must fear God and obey. And if we love our children, we will tell them the truth. It don't matter how you put it, regardless of what your excuse is, CHRISTMAS is a LIE. And if you celebrate it, you are a HEATHEN. The Bible clearly states to NOT LEARN THE WAY OF THE HEATHENS in Jeremiah 10: 1-5.... here is what it says so we are clear on this subject and know what the HEATHENS do: “Hear ye the word which the Lord speaketh unto you, O house of Israel: thus saith the Lord, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.”
Can someone show me where God was pleased with mixing his worship with a pagan holiday in scripture?

Here is an easy way to know celebrating Christmas is wrong...if Jesus would have instructed us to do it, almost no one would. Most Christians want to worship they way they see fit versus the way they are instructed to by God. Jesus does tell us not to follow man's traditions of worship.
Why do so many people think we should worship the way WE want to and not the way GOD wants us to?
Christopher Shreiner can you explain how we are to worship?
@John Smith - Leviticus 23. God has already given us appointed times that we should worship Him. And Christmas is not one of them.
Deborah E we are not Israel Look at verse 2 who is being spoken to. We are not under the law. We are under grace. You need to use the NT not the OT. Worship is done in how we live and in that we are not forbidden to celebrate the birth of Christ.
@John Smith - Then why not celebrate Christ’s birth on September 11th the day he was most likely actually born on?

Practically every thing around us has pagan origins. But if we give thanks to God its perfectly fine. Before pagans had these things God had them first. Its like comparing fornication to marital sex.
Origins don't matter. What matters is how it's covered up so that you could take part in it no matter how vile it started out.

And we fulfill the proficy of Luke 2:10 I bring
Good tidings of great joy to which will be to all people.
Yet Christians are out here every year believing it’s Jesus’s birthday when that is a lie, it’s human TRADITION we are following, that God asked us to forsake because it made him ANGRY ( Deuteronomy 12:31-32)
Mark 7:7-8
“They worship me in vain; their teachings are merely human rules. You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to human traditions”
There you have it
John Schum I did!
We are called to be set apart not to conform to the world and yet we have pastors who teach that it's ok to be just like the world.
The only reason why most " Christians " celebrate Christmas is it a beautiful fun holiday. You receive gifts and give gifts. It's also great marketing and business for profits. Christmas is a pagan celebration it has nothing do with God or Jesus.
The tree, mistletoe, even santa clause has deep evil origins. Its all rooted in ancient Babylonian paganism.
Simple answer: those "christians" are false converts.
@@virgie4715 indeed u r right
I work in retail and when customers say "merry Christmas" I respond, "Grace and peace to you".
James Outlaw i always say...no thank you...it’s actually pagan...people look at me as if I’ve escaped from the insane asylum :)
Shalom Aleichem / Peace be to you

Jeremiah 6:19
Hear, O earth! Behold, I will certainly bring calamity on this people- The fruit of their thoughts, because they have not heeded My words nor My law, but rejected it.
Jeremiah 9
Who is the wise man who may understand this? And who is he to whom the mouth of the Lord has spoken, that he may declare it? Why does the land perish and burn up like a wilderness, so that no one can pass through? And the Lord said, “Because they have forsaken My Law which I set before them, and have not obeyed My voice, nor walked according to it,"
Jeremiah 10
Thus says the Lord:
“Do not learn the way of the Gentiles; Do not be dismayed at the signs of heaven, for the Gentiles are dismayed at them. Do not be afraid of them, for they cannot do evil, nor can they do any good.”

I celebrate Jesus Christ's every day in my life but not once a year.
Many people who celebrated Christmas don't even believe in the sacrifices that Christ did for us to shed his blood for us and paid for the debts of our sins.
Yes and Christmas is one of those days.
Amen.... lets not contradict the word lest we end up like the evil catholic church
For me christmas has everything to do with Jesus because I dont worship the tree or other figures or objects. I take that day as a day to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, and spread cheer in the name of Jesus. How's that bad?

For millions of people around the world, Christmas is an opportunity to celebrate Jesus birthday. But have you considered whether those who lived closest to Jesus, that is, his apostles and followers, celebrated Christmas? Jesus was a good teacher, and the Bible shows that he gave his followers clear instructions on what he wanted them to do. But it says nowhere that he invited them to celebrate Christmas. Just as a teacher wants students to follow his instructions, Jesus wants his followers to "not go beyond what is written" in the Bible. (1 Corinthians 4: 6)
So why celebrate mother's day ? And other "celebration days" every year ?? And other activities not written in the book ???
We are not to mix HIS ways with their (pagan) ways period ,doesnt matter what we mean by it or not..what matters is what YAH wants and makes it very clear throughout the bible HE is to be honored above all others not to be mixed with other gods !!!! simple as that...no we are NOT to celebrate it
Lois amen

In fact the celebrations of honouring the day of ones birth (Birthday) is also pagan in itself, which 1st century Christians and Jews did not celebrate. www.huffingtonpost.com.au/2013/11/11/history-of-birthdays_n_4227366.html?ri18n=true
This Priest talks with false with false reasoning's, and his lack to denounce the pagan practice is testimony to his hatred of truthful and wholesome teachings from God.
1/ The tree in Christmas is from pagan believes and traditions. www.newsweek.com/christmas-tree-origin-story-pagan-tradition-1254178
2/ The three wise men or kings as the churches claim were actually astrologers, or magic practitioners.
Back ground on Magi www.huffpost.com/entry/on-revelation-of-the-magi_b_788238
3/ Note the star which adorns all Christmas trees, which all churches teach was from God was actually lead by Satan to lead the magi's to Herod first then to Jesus, so that Herod might get to know of where the boy who would one day be Messiah was so that Herod could kill him. Matthew 2:12&13 says "However, because they were given divine warning in a dream not to return to Herod, they departed for their country by another way. After they had departed, look! Jehovah’s angel appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying: “Get up, take the young child and his mother and flee to Egypt, and stay there until I give you word, for Herod is about to search for the young child to kill him.”
Had God not intervened and sent his angel, and the magi's returned back to Herod, Jesus might have died and Satan would have been successful in sending the magi's to Herod first.
4/ Jesus was not a baby when the Magi's came. He was at least 2 years old and no longer a toddler creationtoday.org/the-wise-men-and-the-star/
It is disturbing how paganism has influenced mainstream religions without protest from it's clerics, but not surprising as Jehovah's Witnesses don't celebrate pagan ideals including Christmas just as the 1st century Christians would never celebrate pagan festivals but were warned that false Christians will come and devour the congregation with false teachings.
I have found this link from the Stanford Encyclopaedia of Philosophy denouncing the Trinity: plato.stanford.edu/entries/trinity/trinity-history.html
Also, Jesus was not crucified on a cross.

What are the clear specific scriptures?

Facts
Not celebrating Christmas is a also and maybe a better opportunity to witness the bible to people
what if somebody celebrated your birthday 3 months late, what would you think about that?
why would Christians choose to celebrate Jesus birth on the wrong date?
the only reason I can think of is because they are not doing it to please Jesus but themselves.
AMEN!!! Christ also says in Mark 7:9 KJV
"And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition." And this is exactly what people do when they celebrate "Christmas". Their rejecting what God has said in Jeremiah 10:2-4 KJV
"Thus saith the Lord, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. [3] For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. [4] They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not." Amen!
I don't celebrate Christmas, because it's a lie, and according to John 8:44 KJV
"Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. Amen!
Also according to Revelation 21:8 KJV
"But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and (all liars), shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death." It says "All liars". And if we participate in something that's a "Lie", yet along say "Christmas is Christ's birthday". We're telling a lie. When SATAN Is father of lies!
Amen brother! God bless! I agree with your comment! 👍 🙏✝️
100% correct. God wants our obedience to His word - not our celebration to some made up birthday party.
Nice one Sofia
You teach our children that Jesus was born on Christmas, 25 December you have confirmed by your statements that you teaching a lie
While you sit on the truth and let it die

I was corrupted by this religions from child wood that Jesus was born on Christmas, at 31 years am just realizing I believed a lie.
(Genesis 40:20; Mark 6:21) According to the Encyclopædia Britannica, the early Christians opposed the “pagan custom of celebrating birthdays.”
The Bible does not say exactly when Jesus was born.
Thus, McClintock and Strong note that “the observance of Christmas is not of divine appointment, nor is it of N[ew] T[estament] origin.”
As the Great Teacher, Jesus gave clear instructions on what he wanted his followers to do, and these are recorded in the Bible.

Hello brother! You did the same research I did. 😊
@@sunnyjohnson992 Thanks brother were united in thought
Jehovah's Witnesses are occult number one.
Here are the verses I’ve researched as well:
Deuteronomy 12:29-32, 7:5, 12:3-4
Exodus 34:13
1 Kings 12:26-32
Matthew 13:53-58, 10:37-3
Jeremiah 10:2-4
Joshua 24:15
Mark 7:13
Colossians 2:8
Jeremiah 10:2
John 4:23-24
Hosea 4:6
Jeremiah 17:9 the heart is deceptive
Christmas is a man made tradition
Ephesians 5:11-12
Have no fellowship with these people
Lord Kevin you say you know the scripture, then that means you should know that God very clearly tells us to not take what the pagans do as worship to their gods and call it worship to Him.
Lord Kevin you have not been able to use scripture to back up your claims...
What u talk is meaningless because celebrating birth of christ doesnt mean santa ..its plainly remembering jesus birth as a saviou
Mark 7:9 Further, he said to them: “You skillfully disregard the commandment of God in order to keep your tradition
I totally agree !!! People love to jump on and chase conspiracy theories, only to discover that so many things that they acknowledge daily were derive from conspiracy theories or ungodly Origins! So be of Good Cheer, and celebrate the 25 Dec as the histoic birth of our Lord, whose coming destroys all the pagan and false superstions, and put up ur Christ Mas trees!
God thoughts are not like our own,so I doubt he’ll see it like that
Anytime he talks about not following tradition it’s because those traditions directly break the Ten Commandments
itsallgreektome JC how?
Everyone celebrates differently you know
There is a distinct difference between driving a car with a name of pagan origins or using common language to be easily understood versus active participation in pagan traditions that they used to worship false gods.
Christopher Shreiner,
I mean you no disrespect but what you are promoting
is a legalistic Pharisee type thinking. While I certainly agree that there is a
pagan side of Christmas there is also a worshipful side which witness’ to the
world. No the star WAS NOT sent by satan. That is just silly.

@@JohnSmith-ug5ci 😂😂😂 okay.
It may not tell us to celebrate his birth but does that mean we can't?
Do not say that you have the Holy Spirit of God if your worship of God is based upon demonism.
And we fulfill the proficy of Luke 2:10 I bring
Good tidings of great joy to which will be to all people.
I don't know about you but there something about xmas time. It has a vibe that no other day has because they are celebrating in heaven too, as joy is brought to ALL people those in heaven as well.
hows it wrong for people all over the world to celebrate Jesus Christ? Alot of businesses are make or break because of xmas. Think of all those people who are happily employed who can now bring glory to God over their table of food that God provides through xmas shoppers. I think if Christmas was done away with completely alot of people would have nothing to thank God for. Maybe satan is victorious in your eyes but in my eyes I see it all as the work of God being victorious pouring his blessings out to people.
@Roger King why would you say judge another's beliefs?
The Roman Church changed the Sabbath in 327 AD with a decree from Constantine in an effort to bring more Pagans into Christianity.
And every day of the week and every month of the year are named after pagan Roman gods. Oh, horror of horrors. You'd better not ever look at a calender again or even mention or ever write or say those names. Oh, you heathen! 😂
@@KC-pw4nn this is a ridiculous statement, irrelevant
The culture and origin of this holiday as well as Easter was used for false gods. Why in the world would we recognize this day for our precious Lord and Savior ??? That’s a choice. We have days of the week named after pagan gods but did not decide this on our own will. Once we have the knowledge of what these origins represent we have a choice to celebrate Christ massacre or not.
Hosea 4:6 “my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge, because thou rejected knowledge I will also reject thee”
Says the Lord!
Isn’t this a great example of us saying something of the sort ?
“Lord Lord haven’t I prophesied in your name, cast demons in your name, and done many wonders in your name?”
...or...
‘Gave gifts in your name..”
And hear the condemning words “I never knew you, depart from me, you who practice lawlessness “
Matt 7:22-23
Jesus didn’t ask to be celebrated this way just like He never told us to do all these other things in His name. We need to be careful what we do in our Lords name!
1 Corinthians 10:20
“Now I imply that what pagans sacrifice they offer to demons and not to God. I DO NOT WANT YOU TO BE PARTICIPANTS OF DEMONS”
PERIOD!!!!
While we bow down to a adorned tree and offer our hard earned sacrifices.
We need to think and pray hard on this!
Amen!

So basically you can sin all you want and you will be in heaven cause jesus already knew you was going to be a pork munching cheating liar great belief mate
This was a hard pill to swallow but now I don't want to take part in it.
ianna cn I felt the same way but i promise it God gave me so much peace and I had peace in knowing that I let go of something that Gods not please him and that he honored it.
I don't celebrate christmas.
-Jesus was not born in December
-there is no evidence to suggest that God incurages a celebration of the messiah birth
-Christmas has evolved out of being celebrated as a "reformed" holiday to being nothing more than a holiday to give and want more and more gifts while we struggle to even be thankful for what we have and remembering Christ's gif! Very lowsey way to celebrate the birth of our SAVIOR. (Not to say that we even should be that focused on his birth anyway)
-most of those traditons that we use as representations of Christ ex. Christmas trees, holy, etc. Are still pagan traditions that has been deemed another purpose. That isn't exactly something the bible really likes for us to do. see Deuteronomy ch. 12
3rd and finally. What does this verse mean
@@superboyprime4893 It means Jul or Christmas is a pagan holiday that you should not participate in, at least with the tree and so on, if you want to serve the Truth.
Ok, well we aren't worshipping pagan gods, are we? And we don't worship like them because we don't worship the Earth and make animal/human sacrifices
Exactly “their gods” there is no God in Christmas, only an idol and the acts Santa, which is why you wouldn’t involve Santa. Christmas is about giving and thanks and you can involve Jesus and do activities with Jesus and pray and even fast.

The Bible does not mention birthday celebrations either, for Jesus or any other faithful worshipper of God. The Scriptures refer to only two individuals who celebrated their birthday. Neither of them was a worshipper of Jehovah, the God of the Bible, and their birthday celebrations were cast in a negative light. (Genesis 40:20; Mark 6:21) According to the Encyclopædia Britannica, the early Christians opposed the “pagan custom of celebrating birthdays.”
The Bible does not say exactly when Jesus was born.
Thus, McClintock and Strong note that “the observance of Christmas is not of divine appointment, nor is it of N[ew] T[estament] origin.”
As the Great Teacher, Jesus gave clear instructions on what he wanted his followers to do, and these are recorded in the Bible.
The Bible contains all the instructions as to what is pleasing to Almighty God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, contained within these instructions are eight observances which are:
1John 3: 4.

I'm in Derbyshire but willing to travel. "They that do KNOW their God will BE BOLD and do exploits"
(Matthew 15:1-9)
1Then came together unto him the Pharisees, and certain of the scribes, which came from Jerusalem.
Look what God did to Aarons sons for bringing in religous practices which "he commanded them not"
Leviticus 10 And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the Lord, which he commanded them not
1 Samuel 13 . 9 So Saul said, “Bring a burnt offering and peace offerings here to me.” And he offered the burnt offering. 10 Now it happened, as soon as he had finished presenting the burnt offering, that Samuel came; and Saul went out to meet him, that he might [d]greet him.
11 And Samuel said, “What have you done?”
Saul said, “When I saw that the people were scattered from me, and that you did not come within the days appointed, and that the Philistines gathered together at Michmash, 12 then I said, ‘The Philistines will now come down on me at Gilgal, and I have not made supplication to the Lord.’ Therefore I felt compelled, and offered a burnt offering.”
13 And Samuel said to Saul, “You have done foolishly. You have not kept the commandment of the Lord your God, which He commanded you. For now the Lord would have established your kingdom over Israel forever. 14 But now your kingdom shall not continue. The Lord has sought for Himself a man after His own heart, and the Lord has commanded him to be commander over His people, because you have not kept what the Lord commanded you
God took Sauls future as king from him, strict because he did not follow the commandment of God. It wasn't that his heart wasn't sincere, it was His lack of obedience to follow God's religion. According to God's law, it was nor His place or calling to sacrifice burnt offerings. And by doing so, he was adding to God's religion.
2 Samuel 6:3
3 And they set the ark of God upon a new cart, and brought it out of the house of Abinadab that was in Gibeah: and Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, drave the new cart
This was done incorrectly according to God's law.

And we fulfill the proficy of Luke 2:10 I bring

Now if you read the Torah carefully you will find that the God of Abraham Issac and Jacob command us to learn, meditate, practice, analize our own selves then understand and after that to show, teach, encourage and promote one another daily to put his written instruction, statues and rules into practice.
And to pass this onto our children, and our children's children.
How often??

That proved it all, open and closed case.
Hi Joe Z just read your comments well done for sticking up for the word of God, can I encourage you to live up to your beliefs by reading Isaiah 43.10,11 Jesus taught us to make holy God's name Jehovah, why delete the name of God, giving him a title LORD, Isa 43.11 makes no sense untill you use the most high name JEHOVAH regards PaulMark

although christmas is rooted in paganism, it's fine for christians to celebrate, but it's alsways best to be mindful of things you do and traditions you have
everything that has rooted to evil is bad. You see that its ok to celebrate christmas even if there is no sign of that in Bible, the day where the world is darkest(winter solstice), the sacrificing of children to Sun God, the guy named Saint Nickolas aka santa(when rearranged its satan) rides a sledge pulled by flying pythons and depected a karmpus in eupean countries where he kidnapes childern and punish them. christmas is used today as marketing for many companies. there are even many more things thats even worse which i don't want to say(like the christmas tree representing the undead tree of satan) but knowledge is to be shared. and if this also dosent concern you then google it why european countries and Austrailians dont celebrate this peganism.
Sainul Abidh really😐 you can rearrange any name my last name is Santana and what? Do I have to change my name just because you can rearrange it to “satan” that’s just corny all love tho🙏🏽💙
Was God ok with the Israelites using pagan ways and items to worship him in the Old Testament? No and he is NOT ok with us doing it today! God is unchanging.
If you remove your Christmas tree Santa Claus and the giving of gifts then it almost is correct, in Leviticus it says not to celebrate or follow any traditions of man period!! never use paganism to glorify god are you crazy!!
Saint Nicholas (a saint)
and giving gifts (generosity)
how are these pagan?
Pagans created statues out of the wood of trees and intentionally worshiped idols so I don't think decorating a pine tree alone is enough to call it pagan.
Marco Pollo I’m pretty sure Saint Nicholas and Santa are two things & people .
@@sisi8949 The character of Santa is literally based on Saint Nicholas. The point is that Christmas is not intrinsically paganism or idolatry. Only when we pervert the original celebration of Nativity do we run into idolatry.
@@marcopollo5214 saint nicholas in himself is not the pagan, nor is the giving of gifts pagan. What is pagan is the yule log , the Christmas tree or evergreen , mistletoe, the date of the 25th of December which was the birth of tamaz and celebration to nimrod and later became the last day of the festival to saturnalia. With the festival of saturnalia the Roman's gave gifts to each other as part of that worship!
@@marcopollo5214 why not just give gifts just because you want to anytime of year? Not at a time when it becomes a pagan celebration and a tradition of men !
Jesus didn’t celebrate it so we follow him full stop
So by your standard:
1) I'll celebrate my wife's birthday using my old girlfriend's birthdate.
2) I'll serve my wife my old girlfriend's favorite meal.
3) I'll celebrate our wedding anniversary on the date i met my old girlfriend.
4) I'll take my wife to my girlfriend's old haunts.

(Genesis 40:20; Mark 6:21) According to the Encyclopædia Britannica, the early Christians opposed the “pagan custom of celebrating birthdays.”
The Bible does not say exactly when Jesus was born.
Thus, McClintock and Strong note that “the observance of Christmas is not of divine appointment, nor is it of N[ew] T[estament] origin.”
As the Great Teacher, Jesus gave clear instructions on what he wanted his followers to do, and these are recorded in the Bible.
Opinion of man and not on the bible...
Not very honest about Christmas.
The gospel message is more powerful if share in it's true context. To the atheist or pagan mixing the idea of the Birth of Jesus with what was once pagan just makes Christians looks stupid. Christmas and Jesus is oxymoronic.
If Christians cannot celebrate Halloween because of its origins then origins MATTER. If you can change the origins then use Halloween to meet your neighbors and talk to them about God while dressed as an angel or a cool Arc Angel.. but of course this isn’t allowed

Unevenly yoked is referring to marriage between a believer and an unbeliever, not in other matters
I don't celebrate paganism, i celebrate the Birth of my Lord and Saviour Jesus.
It doesn't make any less a believer in Christ.

A day of witness?! Christmas is not the day to witness while acting as if a holiday that Jesus Christ himself wouldn't celebrate and then to infuse that with the gospel is blasphemy.
The Bible clearly states to NOT LEARN THE WAY OF THE HEATHENS in Jeremiah 10: 1-5.... here is what it says so we are clear on this subject and know what the HEATHENS do:
“Hear ye the word which the Lord speaketh unto you, O house of Israel: thus saith the Lord, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not. They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.”
