Got an iPhone? Airtags. Put them in your car/truck headrest. I've been doing it for a couple years now. My neighbors had a car stolen at a restaurant. They called the cops and they all drove to the house the thieves took it too. Keep them in your suitcases when you fly. You'll know the bag is on the plane with you and when it's coming to the carousel.

Over the last 5 to 6 years,can’t believe the amount of race cars and tow vehicles that have been stolen.
I don't know what Ford is doing, but I had a Chevy stolen once that had Onstar, and I contacted Onstar with my info and they told the officer right then exactly where my truck was at. No delays whatsoever, and Onstar told us the truck was in motion and we had Onstar ask the driver of my truck to ID themselves, we got complete silence but the truck stopped and was abandoned about 5 minutes later. lol.

No one is fired. And it’s not bullshit for 1 they don’t know who is actually saying who they are on the phone it could be any random joe blow. 2 it’s for safety reasons that’s why they give the location once they findout to LE that way random guy doesn’t go put himself in danger trying to recover his truck or random guy doesn’t go murder the criminal over of all things a stolen truck that has insurance. It’s safer and how it should be handled properly give the location to law enforcement and let them locate it and possibly catch the thief responsible and no one is harmed in the victim’s side and the criminals even though we all could careless about them. But 100% not wrong at all with how they handled it and they should never give out the location to someone saying they are the owner over the phone that’s just plain stupid as it gets.

I can understand maybe why they would not give it to Justin but the officer got on the phone an what he said shouldn't have been a problem. The time was a big factor in getting the truck back an the parts.

And again let’s say it’s me in the phone as Justin talking to u ford and say I’m Justin here I’ll let you talk to the officer and I hand the phone to my friend beside me and he says hey I’m officer so and so I need the location. Are you gonna just take someone at their word. The detective emails all information needed and contacts over to them requesting the information and it’s 100* verified and once they receive it then they contact them. Does that make better sense to why they aren’t just gonna give the information over the phone to someone who says they are someone heck I can give you my old badge number and what department does that make you believe I’m still active leo and even if I did how’s that gonna prove who I am I could just give you 4-5 random numbers.

Manufacturers and dealers absolutely misrepresent the location product that we pay for. Police involved, be damned even if they wanted to locate it in a hurry. You can thank your government officials for that bullshit.
When I travel in my expensive truck or car I always pull the fuel pump fuse before I go in to the hotel for the night, it has saved me 1 time before .

Man that sucks about the truck. I have had a custom van in 86 stolen then in 93 a comaro of the wifes stolen. My house was robbed 3 different times from the mid 80s. I lost 37.000 in tools the last time an cant believe they stole my daughters round bed out of the house and lived in a gated community when that time happen an was just moving in that house. It seem like every time we was out of town racing. I cant stand a fing thief. A year ago it was said that the next door neighbor was going to brake in my house an hoped he found a gun an he told this to someone i knew that he didn't know i knew also. Well l can say when we left for vacation a friend was there in my house waiting on him so thank God he didn't cause he was going to leave in a body bag. Well man i hope you get the parts an truck back. It is a shame that they wouldn't locate the truck for the cops so maybe you get it back then with the parts.

ok so this maybe too technical and f off but, from launch it runs up through the gear and is the idea for the converter to to unlock enough on the shift that it doesnt pull the motor down and then as the converter loads up it doesnt pull the motor down? I get keeping it in the rpm window but doesnt hardly seem like the motor ever loaded down on the converter.

Why would they tell random person on the phone saying they are the owner the location or someone stating they are a LEO by phone from random guy the location that’s just stupid. They give it to the detective who sends in for it. It keeps everyone safe and they know it forsure is put in the right hands vs lord knows who that could be a murderer or someone planning to murder someone or risking the owner go and try to get his vehicle back and get killed themselves by the thief. They handled it properly and no ford can see it she wasn’t lying it’s handled by a 3rd party company

Hey that sucks!!! Just a heads up for the future Verizon actually has a deal that plugs into the obd2 system and what some do is they plug in under the dash zip tie it up in the dash deep then put a remote plug in place of where the obd2 port is. Also they do have some cellular 4g lte trackers but often times they get found because they are installed under the front seats.. If you could get a place up in the firewall some where you could mount that unit and probably work as well.. I know this is all an after thought but that really sucks...

LOW AIR/NO AIR Has been a issue for lots of racers at multiple levels at this track. The Turbo Guys in the past have had HUGE issues just trying to build boost off the line.
